Four days of ball joint doll focused programming sponsored by A-Kon to take place June 8 - 11, 2017 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, TX. A-Kon is an anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture convention, celebrating its 28th anniversary this year!

You must have a valid A-Kon badge for each day that you wish to take part in Doll A-Kon activities. We are an A-Kon department, not a separate entity. Four-day and single-day badges can be purchased here.

Doll A-Kon is Pro Artist. Like our parent convention, A-Kon, Doll A-Kon does not allow recast, bootleg, unlicensed, counterfeit or illegally copied items of any kind. Dolls fitting this description may not be discussed, sold, traded, displayed or promoted at this event. If discovered, items must be removed from the Fort Worth Convention Center. Violators of this rule are subject to having their badges confiscated without refund per A-Kon policy.

 

I'm super excited, too! It's always so fun to see all the dolls I've been watching online and meet their owners. A-Kon is where I saw my first BJD and years later, where I bought my first BJD.

You are doing the restringing panel, aren't you? I'm hoping to make it. I'm never quite sure I'm doing it right.

 

@ShadowMist I'll definitely be bringing her. She's my favorite convention doll. I'll bring her Thursday if you are going to be there then. It's going to be so fun to meet you and your 13s!

It will be nice to meet you! DDs are perfect for conventions. I've been hoping to get some kind of vinyl doll myself. Asuna is such a cute sculpt, too. I believe fusion_midnight is actually hosting a meet there especially for DD, Smart Dolls, AP, and Obitsu.

@Olivemully I hope you enjoy your first Doll AKon. There are tons of doll owners in this area, though there will be some from all over. If you are in or near the DFW area, feel free to send me a PM. I can give you our group info.

 

I love all your dolls, but I have to say I'll be super excited to see John again. He's one of my favorite dolls!

I'll definitely be bringing Lora. It's going to be fun to finally have a Ringdoll to bring to their panels.
