      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? She is gorgeous in person and it was worth the wait! The shipping was also very fast.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? For the most part yes, but it has nothing to do with dolk. They packaged it very well and it arrived in perfect condition. The shipping came in a day early!

      Yes! My doll was very much worth the price (pertains more to Luts). Also Dolk had very quality customer service ^^

      Yes. However Dolk did forget to include an item that I had added to my layaway. The item was from a company other than Luts. Since it was a cheap clothing item, I'm not too upset about it.

      They responded about the missing item and I'm waiting for them to follow up on it.

      Absolutely! I have another doll on layaway now. However, I wouldn't add any extra items to my layaway in the future.

      They shipped my package before I finished my layaway plan. One month before my last payment. They include in the package even a photo of the items that they shipped me.

      Yes! I know that Fairyland dolls have many sand lines so I was prepared. Excellent quality for Mako eyes and the crobidoll wig it's a little greasy but beautiful.

      Yes. I like that I can do layaway with company that didn't offer it on their website. (but, for other Italians: I paid high customs even if the price wasn't the real one)

      How was the communication?
      Meh, it takes them about 2 days by email to answer you back. The average business reply within 72 hours.

      How easy was it to pay?
      It was easy to pay when you first checkout. But if something changes in your order they will email you the difference with their paypal address.

      How long did it take to ship?
      I think it was less then at week.

      Were there any missing or broken items in your order?
      Missing a wig. Never told me it was out of stock like the shoes...

      If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them?

      Okay so in the beginning after a week or so, they told me that the shoes that I orginally ordered where sold out. So either I get my money back or choose another item on their website. I was a bit disspointed so I ordered another pair of SD shoes that would fit my character when he ships out. Then a about 5 weeks roll by and they ask me since order weight was different that I needed to pay the extra so I did. Then finally when my package arrived the box was dented which was no sweat just wigs, shoes, and a carrybag. But once I got home and opened my package no long SD wig that I ordered. What the hell? I checked the website and it says "out of stock." I got no email like when I had the shoes problem and then on top of that they charaged me extra. Pfff. I haven't emailed them about the missing item nor the extra charages.

      Would you order from this company again?

      Only if they sold Levi from Attack on Titan again or his clothes. Or some other character down in future that I have the money for and must buy. Otherwise No! No! No! Next time I'll just order from the company direct or hmmm someone else that's a party in the middle. Like DDE, or MoC, or Alice Collection.

      Poor - took them days to reply if they replied at all, however they were very quick to reply after I had made payments to let me know how much I had remaining, so why they couldn't acknowledge my other messages I do not know..

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Very easy

      * How long did it take to ship?
      Only a few days once i'd paid in full.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Very much. I would buy from Nobility doll again without hesitate, however never again from Dolks.

      With the product yes, with the service no.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      It was all going smoothly until i accidentally paid the last three payments, in bulk, in NZ instead of USD. I understand that it was my fault, to begin with, but It was an easy mistake and should have been an easy fix. I apologized and asked Dolks how they would like me to fix it, to either pay the difference in USD or refund the payment and sent it all in USD as it should have been. Days passed an no reply and by this time i was worrying. I sent a couple other emails, more days passed and still nothing. Im sure anyone in my shoes at the time would now be worrying. I decided out of good faith that id send the payment again but in USD hoping that they would THEN refund the payment, but again radio silence.
      It took over a week from the USD payment was made and was only when I publicly put this on their FB that they actually spoke to me about it and said they would refund the money... a promise that was quick to be broken. More days pass and again i have to publicly contact them on FB and again they said they would do it, again days passed and still nothing.
      What didn't help is that the payment was taken from my credit card, without my authority, and so with every day that passed i was being penalised which made the refund that much more urgent.
      Long story short i honestly thought i wouldn't see the payment as they would then reply to me about every other question and pretend like they didn't understand when i asked them about the overpayment. I cannot tell you how stressful this was and because of their lack of communication and the awful way they handled this i would never buy from them again. It was sad to know too, that when I spoke to them publically (something I hate to do as they are a business and have a reputation) but others came forward to say they too were having problems with Dolks. I can only hope they resolved them is well.

      How was the communication?
      At first it was nice and quick even with the time difference. Everything went smooth until I made my last payment (it was layaway). Like always I sent a message to them, but for three weeks there was no single answer from them (though I sent them 2 more mails). This made me really angry. Consumer service failed and this made me disappointed, because it was always great dealing with Japanese companies. When I wanted to send them another message I saw an e-mail from Dolk with my tracking number written in a polite way like earlier, but like nothing had happened. Not to mention that my package was already in my country when I was finally able to track it.
      How easy was it to pay?
      PayPal like always.
      How long did it take to ship?
      They have information on their site that in-stock items need around one week to be send, I've been waiting three and a half week. What took them so long...

      Yes, Dearmine dolls are great ^^

      I made my order on August 30, 2017.

      * How was the communication?
      It was fairly lacking in terms of promptness, but the friendliness of the customer service was great. I found myself sending multiple e-mails in order to get a reply because I would not receive any confirmation when I was making my payments. I do not expect instant replies and I understand that there may be holidays, but sometimes it took a few weeks or a month to hear anything regarding whether my payment was successfully received. It just felt a bit concerning.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      I sent my layaway payments easily through PayPal.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      I received my doll and the other items on February 5, 2018 due to manufacturing delays.

      * Were there any missing or broken items in your order?
      No, everything was perfectly fine!

      * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them?
      Nothing went wrong with my order.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      I did make another order, but I am currently waiting for it to arrive before I make a final decision for this! As of right now, I do not see myself purchasing through Dolk after my second purchase arrives. I felt as if I spent more effort than necessary just to confirm receipt of my payments.

      When i first placed my order i sent a message asking them to confirm that the doll was available, they confirmed and communication was great until i paid off my order. when i paid it off they started getting slow. when i brought up my issues they went completely down hill. they were blaming the dolls maker on the delay. im still arguing with them about my shipping refund atm.
      * How easy was it to pay? it was a bit confusing at first because they had two different paypals listed but it wasnt too hard.
      * How long did it take to ship? I paid my final payment on the 29th of march, was told that it was shipped on the 3rd of april but the tracking didnt get active until the 6th . it arrived on the 10th missing my doll.
      * Were there any missing or broken items in your order? The doll i bought was missing .
      * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them? I contacted them asking why my doll was missing , especially because they didn't tell me they would only be shipping the shoes. the shipping confirmation emails all told me that my order was shipped, not just part of the order. i contacted them the day it arrived and they told me they need to check with the maker of the doll why there was a delay . i was worried but they reassured me everything was fine and i would get my doll safely.

      it took a day or two but then they finally told me. they had accidentally sold my doll to someone else. after 5 months of reassuring me that this doll would be mine. there was no point arguing so i told them to refund me , which they did for only the cost of the doll. i'm currently fighting for them with my shipping cost. i am out a lot of time, effort and money because of them . i cant file a proper paypal claim because they posted the shoes so there is proof of shipping. i feel like they planned this so i cant properly complain.

      i'm also missing a pair of eyes from another order that was shipped separately for some reason.

      Never in my life not even if you paid me. this company is absolutely terrible. they event went as far as releasing the name of the customer who the doll that was meant for me went to.

      I ordered a Granado Uranus the Samurai, in-stock.

      * When did you order?
      January, 2017. It was a layaway order, paid off by March 2017.

      * How was the communication?
      Awful, unfortunately.

      They were quick to confirm all payments, including the final. At the time, the website indicated that in-stock items would ship within 3 days of payment. I first contacted them 2 weeks after the final payment to request an update. I was repeatedly given answers indicating that my package would be shipped "tomorrow," or telling me they would get it sent right away, until I eventually requested a refund a month later.

      Even after I requested that my order be cancelled, Dolk continued to insist that they would send my package soon. They only shipped the package after I opened a Paypal dispute -- at which point I had already told them that I did not want it, as I simply wished the transaction over. The Dolk agent and I both agreed that I would refuse the package on arrival, and they would refund my payments once the doll was returned. Although tracking indicated that Dolk received the package, they never contacted me again. In the end, Paypal settled in my favour and refunded my payments.

      Along the way, I received some half-apologies from the customer service agent, but each was laced with comments implying that I was somehow at fault, and that I had "no heart" when I finally requested a refund.

      At one point, the Dolk agent said they would offer free shipping to make up for the mistake, but only if I closed the Paypal dispute. Had I agreed, I would have been left without the option to reopen, and no further protection from Paypal. I felt like that was a very shady move on Dolk's part. If they wanted to make up for their mistake, they could have made the offer with no strings attached, allowing me to drop the dispute after receipt. I felt like they were intentionally trying to convince me to waive any protection from Paypal, and that solidified my decision not to accept the package.

      * How easy was it to pay?

      Payments were easy. I used Paypal, and all payments were made manually.

      * How long did it take to ship?

      Over 4 weeks

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?

      N/A

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?

      N/A

      * Were you satisfied with the product?

      N/A -- I did not accept the delivery and the item was returned.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?

      They did not. Fortunately, Paypal solved the problem by refunding my payments when Dolk would not.

      Absolutely not. I feel fortunate that I was able to get my money back, thanks to Paypal, but I would not push my luck with another attempt. I would not have had a problem with the delays if I had been given honest answers, or if the customer service agent had remained professional. The dishonesty and rude replies were enough to ensure I would never deal with Dolk again.

      As previously mentioned, it took a while to get replies. I had to reach out to Dolk on DoA because my e-mails would usually go unanswered.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      I used a six month layaway and sent my payments through PayPal.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      It was never shipped to me. I finished paying my layaway in mid March and learned in mid April that it had already been bought by someone else. I also received an e-mail stating my order had been shipped before I even finished paying for the layaway. The reason for this was never clearly stated.

      * Were there any missing or broken items in your order?
      I never received anything.

      * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them?
      I received my refund after I sent in a PayPal dispute. I did not receive the limited edition doll (almost $1,600 with shipping included) I had ordered and I also lost just shy of $21 due to PayPal fees after the refund was complete. It's not a huge amount, but in the end I did lose money for absolutely nothing. Waseon is my male grail so that made this order more disappointing.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      No, I will not return. Dolk could have been a great site to order from due to their large selection of items and layaway options, but I cannot go back for a third order after what has happened.

      Horrible. Sometimes they never responded. Hoping my most recent inquiry gets a response.

      Very easy. I noticed they were quick to respond about payment, but nothing else.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      After over a month of unanswered inquiries, they finally told me it would ship in 2-4 days. It shipped two weeks after that.

      * Were there any missing or broken items in your order?
      The wig was included, but not the clothing. I have opened an inquiry.

      * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them?
      The clothing is missing. I opened an inquiry today. I will report back if and when I get a response.

      It is entirely dependent on how they handle the missing clothing issue.

      Edit: There is a chance I was wrong about it being fullset. I really thought it was, but perhaps not. They responded to me quickly. If you need to get a hold of them, contact them through their Facebook page, not their email. There response is much more timely.

      5/19/18 I put a down payment on the doll for a 3 month layaway.

      * How was the communication?
      They were really quick to thank me for the money and to confirm the doll was in stock.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Super easy. Thank god they use PayPal.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      It didn't ship cause it wasn't in stock like the page said it was.

      * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them?
      On 5/27/18 I paid the layaway off and they were quick getting back to me saying my doll would ship soon and I'd receive a EMS tracking number shortly.
      On 5/28/18 I got an email saying my doll was sold to someone else but they might have another Uriel instock soon.
      On 5/29/18 They offered me a completely different doll and I told them I wanted a full refund or I would open a PayPal dispute. They are supposedly processing my refund.

      I also emailed Granando to let them know what was going on. Granado suggested I try to talking to dolkus about getting a refund and if that didn't work try the PayPal dispute. They are looking into the complaint and have graciously offered me Uriel for the same price as dolkus. I can't believe they're doing that for me. :) I could cry, Uriel is the one that got away.

      No way, no how. Not even if my life depended on it. I wish I had thought to look here before I order form dolkus.
      The reviews here speak for themselves. Order at your own peril.

      I recommend people reaching out to the original doll companies to let them know what service issues you have had. The companies need to be aware of dolkus' s shoddy business practices.

      I was able to order my Uriel from directly from Granado. Thanks to their kindness I'll have my doll :)

      * How was the communication? Originally Ares wasn't on their website, so I used their 'proxy' option to order him. Soon after I got an email from them asking if I wanted them to add the doll on to their site so I can purchase without a proxy. I said yes and a day later they told me I could order him and gave me the link! However, I had to email them each time to confirm payments (I had a 3 pay layaway) but they did response quickly. I paid Storm in full and got a payment confirmation very quickly. I think they're trying to improve their communication after all the horror stories I've heard.
      * How easy was it to pay? Very easy, just used Paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship? Storm was in stock and it took a week and a half for her to ship (which is about the turn around time stated on their website). Ares took about three months and the Dolk agent apologized for the delay and showed me a pic of the doll to make sure everything was in order. He shipped the same time as Storm.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I only received Storm so far and she's beautiful! So she's worth the price.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes!
      * Were you satisfied with the product? I am mostly satisfied.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Nothing with Dolk, but the doll was strung too tightly. I'll have to fix that. Also with that fluffy dress, it was hard to get the tail in place, so I decided to not attach the tail, but it's a minor nitpick. 8D
      * Would you order from this company again? Yes, but I would also like to try out other dealers as well as ordering straight from the company themselves.

      * How was the communication? Felt a bit on the slow side for much of it, terribly slow in the amount of time it took to process the order.
      * How easy was it to pay? It wasn't hard to pay, but if defiantly felt a bit off in the way it was handled. They require you to transfer money to them via paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship?
      Well lets say it took them weeks to process the doll, which they supposedly sent out on Oct 21. Tracking didn't work till the 24th, and since the doll seems to have been in china for a month. On their site they have a "shipping information page" that says it will not take more then 2 weeks to receive your order.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? No idea, apparently my doll is still in China.

      Doll Factory are distributing the now non existant Doll Factory.

      * How was the communication?
      They replied quickly through our back and forths. It was what they were saying that had me convinced I was being ripped off.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Payment through paypal which was easy - but they also didn't send proper layaway invoices. Not a deal breaker because other companies also don't do this, but coupled with how they handled my sale added to the negative experience.

      Initially interaction with this company was fantastic. I ordered my doll and then life stuff happened and I couldn't pay until January. DOLK was cool with this. They sent me an initial invoice that said how to pay and how to pay via layaway.

      Come January I sent 50% of the payment via paypal as per their layaway instructions, so I could pay the remainder in February. Dolk did not accept this payment. They sent me an email saying sorry they do not accept layaway for this item. I pointed out that was nowhere on their site or the doll listing, but if that is the case to please refund my money.

      At this point they accepted my payment but said if someone else buys this doll in the mean time they will sell to them first.

      At this point everything is starting to smell fishy so I responded they can either accept my payment and hold the doll for me, as that is what a layaway is, or they can refund my money now and they can put the doll back up for sale.

      They responded that they were sorry, and would ask Japan to hold the doll for me.

      The whole encounter had me doubting that when I paid the remainder in feb I was going to get my doll.

They then sent me the same items in the photo, which completely ruined the experience for me. I was highly disappointed with knowing what was supposed to be in my surprise lucky bag.

      I ordered a mix of clothes and wigs in April, a total of 9 items. Right away, Dolk contacted me to say that 1 of the items was out of stock, and should they proceed with the order. I said yes, 1 item out of stock happens, it's fine.

      Right before shipping my order, Dolk showed me a picture of the items I ordered, to confirm that this is what I ordered. There was another item in that order that apparently had been out of stock as well, so Dolk was shipping just 7 items to me. Again, 2 items out of stock is a bummer but not deal breaker. So I confirmed my order and had Dolk ship my 7 items. The items are fine.

      I inquired about a refund for the 2 items that I paid for that ended up being out of stock. Dolk ignored my inquiry through the website form, so a week later, I sent them an email inquiring about a refund. The reply I got was that Dolk was processing the refund and I would get a screenshot when it was complete. It has been 2 weeks since Dolk said that, and there has been no refund issued.

      I paid through Paypal, so issuing a refund is as easy as clicking a button. I have emailed them again, reminding them that it has been 2 weeks. I am waiting for a reply, and will edit this post when I get one.

      NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS.
      If an item is out of stock and can't be shipped, that's one thing. But to hold onto that money and wait for the customer to ask about a refund (instead of refunding it automatically), and then to draw out the process like this? Unacceptable. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. :(

But after confirming the order was correct, still nothing for another month. Contacted them myself and I guess their rep forgot to ask me to confirm my shipping address as well so the doll was just sitting in limbo for a while. Once I confirmed that as well the doll shipping and arrived about a week later. Communication was stunted at best, and the automated papal invoice was probably the most organized thing about this transaction.

      * How was the communication? Good. There was a problem with my Paypal payment at first (due to a bad internet connection on my end). Dolks was very quick to respond to my emails. They usually replied within an hour or two. They also kept me updated on the status of my order.

      However, since my order was fulfilled by their China branch, it seemed like there must have been some sort of miscommunication between the branches as they told me my order would be shipped soon before their China branch had even received the entire doll... They did contact me as soon as the entire doll as ready to be shipped though and sent me photos of it, only to say that shipping had to be further delayed because the doll's box was damaged and they had to wait for a new box...

      However, they did keep me updated and even warned me that the delivery time might take longer than usual due to increased security checks in China for packages sent to Hong Kong (due to the social unrest we're experiencing). They also mentioned that once I confirmed that the doll in the photos was my order and that I was satisfied with it, that 'after shipping out the item we will not be responsible for defect matter or wrong item after shipment.'

      My package did take one or two days longer than usual to arrive. However, my doll seems to have been damaged during the security inspection... My shipping box was resealed and my doll's facemask wasn't put back on properly, so his headcap fell off during transit and there's a little chip on it... His faceup was so slightly scuffed and there are dirty marks all over his body. I've been able to clean most of these marks off, but I;'m still quite disappointed with the condition in which he arrived... Luckily, the chip can be covered with a wig.

      Initially quick to response, only when I had issues with my shipping (no tracking for weeks which eventually leads to months) they disappeared on me. The tracking number they gave me did not update, for the whole duration of 3 months. I understood due to covid19, tracking can be slow, but at first they assure me to wait a week, a week passed and there wasn't any update to my tracking, as normally, package received would be scanned by the post office as received by them. But again, they assure me to be patient, as time went on I emailed them after a month has passed, two and finally, 3 months. And they told me the item was in transit. Baffled, as time continued to go on, but not even received my item scanned or have entered anywhere, I decided to take matters to my own hands and contacted china post. This is when china post informed me that they DO NOT have the tracking number they have given me in their system and told me to contact the seller. I was shocked and livid. This issue shouldn't have happen! Mind you, as even previous emails, I told them if EMS was not available for my country please quote me a new shipping fee, I was willing to pay additional - but again they didn't respond to my email then - so I assume EMS was still fine.

      They didn't reply me after being confronted, so I waited for their live chat representative to be online (working day/time), shocked they contacted their china branch, as was just informed about the delay? (WHAT?) So the representative promised me they will reach a resolution the next day, as I ask when can they settle the issue - the promised me a day. The resolution was, they will have the items shipped to their Korea branch ASAP, however, I have to pay the remaining balance of $50 (total $80) for shipping fees (EMS Premium), I told them its fine, as long as this time the tracking works and it reaches me. What pissed me off was that they ask for my patience, I told them I was patient enough, I gave them 3 months and their excuse was "It seems that China office has not forwarder the updated details of your orders shipment." and apologies. The FACT that their representative LIED for 3 months telling me they SHIPPED and claimed its IN TRANSIT to me was just infuriating to me! I trusted them due to their fast responds and was kind to me every time I emailed them for my past orders but this was the first time for me dealing with their china representative, and their reply to me was different than their KR representative honestly. Its an obvious contrast.

      After all that, they did open checked, repackaged and updated me all the way till my package arrived to me safely. My packages arrived 2 weeks after they shipped from Korea.

      * How was the communication? They were generally responsive to any inquiries I had, although I had to be proactive about asking. I liked that they sent me a photo of the doll sets before shipping them out.

      * How easy was it to pay? Very easy. I used PayPal and paid upfront, so only one payment.

      * How long did it take to ship? It took one year and 3 days to send a shipping notice, and two days to actually arrive at my house!

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes - the attention to detail is amazing and none of the parts felt cheap.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes - they did match the both the preorder pictures and the pictures DOLK provided to me of the actual product before shipment.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Overall yes - they are strung a little tighter than I’d like, but I don’t think this is DOLK or IOS’s fault (the tighter stringing may have helped prevent damage during shipment). I am actually impressed with how well they were able to pack two full sets into a box with no shipping damage!

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      I think communication from DOLK could have been more proactive - the dolls were estimated to ship in May 2020 and although a delay notice was posted to the Japanese website, they never posted an English equivalent. I had to follow up a couple of times to get a status update, but the English staff were usually detailed in their reply.

      * Would you order from this company again? Yes, but probably only from the Korea office (my shipment came from Korea.)

At that time, the face up did not have a visible scratch. The damage must have happened during repackaging.

      Edit Oct 05, 2020: Still unresolved and a Paypal dispute has been filed. After 28 emails, this back and forth is getting nowhere.

      Item was in stock. They initially told me that due to COVID, they would ship within 1 week of my payment. It actually took about 20 days to ship. It was shipped after I repeatedly enquired when it would ship. Dolk sent me a photo of the item in the box before they shipped it, but the photo was low quality, and I couldn't properly see what was in the box or the condition of anything in the box. I'm not sure what the purpose of the photo is.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?

      I would say not really. Angell Studio makes high quality, lovely dolls, but I sort of wonder if this doll had been displayed before. She did not have her eyes (which are supposed to be included in the full set.) Her dress was already laced. I have one other Angell Studio doll that shipped directly from AS, and the dress was not laced. One of her shoes is a bit dirty on the side. And the emblem that is usually affixed to the back of AS dolls had fallen out; I glued it back on with resin Overall, she didn't come out with that crisp, new look I expected.

      Yes

      I was mostly satisfied. The doll is lovely, but as I mentioned above, they did not include the eyes and there was evidence that the doll wasn't necessarily brand new.

      I did not reach out about the eyes or dirty shoe or the emblem that had falled out of her head. I felt like maybe that was being overly picky, but I probably should have contacted them. I purchased eyes from another retailer, reglued the emblem, and you don't actually see the shoe when the doll is on display.

      No. My doll did not arrive with all of the pieces it should have (missing eyes), and I didn't feel like the doll was in brand new condition. Additionally, I had to reach out repeatedly to get them to ship my doll. There are other retailers out there I would try first.

I told them that was unacceptable and refused to pay outside of my invoice, and they said "but Covid". Covid has been ongoing for over a year and Dolk's habit of upcharging people at the last minute goes back to 2017.

      They said they would "see what they could do", but would not cancel my order and I heard nothing else from them for a couple days. I escalated all three of my payments to Paypal to claims, then disputes, and was awarded a full refund by Paypal about a week later.

      * How was the communication? A gap between ordering and shipping phases, but each layaway payment was confirmed by the company; no need to rely on PayPal's automatic notifications alone. An English-literate customer service representative took over correspondence after I completed my layaway. Neither of us appeared confused by the other, and our correspondence was friendly and professional.

      * How easy was it to pay? Easy; used my PayPal account.
      * How long did it take to ship? Ten days.
      * Were there any missing or broken items in your order? No.

      * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them? The only problem was a shipping fee additional charge for EMS delivery. The company forewarned me of this, and asked for my agreement in writing. I complied and the rest of my ordering process went smoothly. I was asked to notify the company of my order's arrival, and I fulfilled this request today. Note: every Asian country I ordered from recently is experiencing a need to add additional charges for EMS or withdraw free worldwide shipping offers for my postal region, so this is hardly unique to Dolk in my case. I checked Japan Post in English for comparison.

Sadly, the first one was rejected because the payment was done so long ago, so I’m out at least $150. Even after opening a claim, Dolk has not responded to either myself directly or Paypal.

At first I thought, okay, since they discovered that doll and doll case can't be shipped together in one package (would have been good to know before ordering but okay) I'm just paying the additional ~56 USD and then everything is fine but nope...they have also asked me to pay additional 138 USD shipping for the doll case several days later. -.-

      On top of that they have also told me that the doll case has a little flaw from production / inspection which was "not avoidable" and therefore no refund was possible. So in the end I have to pay 138 USD extra (!!!) for a damaged doll case.

      It was also strange to see that they seemed to unpack the doll and took pictures of all parts without asking before.

      * How long did it take to ship? 2 days via Sagawa express. I live in Japan. The doll was transported from Osaka to my prefecture down south in Kyushu.

      Am suddenly asked to pay 10 USD more for shipping and told 'This increase is due to the recent rate changes implemented by EMS and calculations based on the actual weight of the shipment.' I'm getting annoyed at this point as the other two emails about shipping made it seem like all was fine and that they will 'ship soon', only for them to suddenly spring this request for more shipping fees on me... Anyway, I pay as I just want my order and be done with this.

      17 August 2023:
      Order is finally shipped. But my ordeal is far from over...

      21 August 2023:
      Get SMS notification from post office that my package will be delivered that day. Wait the whole day. Nothing. Then suddenly receive a notification that the delivery failed... Check full tracking online and am told that 'addressee was not available' and the package has been dispatched to the nearest post office and to check my mailbox for the notification card. However, I cannot find the notification card in my mailbox... Figure that maybe it's been put in the wrong mailbox by mistake as this has happened before. It is odd that 'addressee was not available' though as I have been home all day.

      22 August 2023:
      Go to post office that morning. Explain the situation to the postal worker on duty and show her my SMS notifications. She manages to find my package but needs proof of address. I show her a digital bank statement and that's when she tells me that the address was wrong....!! My address is '15K' but Dolk put in '5K'... Fortunately, I can prove that the name and phone number on the shipping label are mine, so the postal worker lets me claim the package.

      I have informed Dolk about the blunder they made with my address (and included pics of the shipping label and the correct address on my order on their website) and they have apologized and promised to make sure the shipping team is more careful about checking the addresses.

      July 13, 2023 - however, I split the payments in 2, and received a request for a third payment for extra shipping.

      Purchased from Dolk U.S. as dealer for Little Monica remaining stock

      Good... but weird. See below
      How easy was it to pay?
      Weird. I paid via PayPal, but I had to find the Dolk U.S. PayPal address, and I had to initiate payment. PayPal notified me that the Dolk U.S. PayPal account was restricted.
      How long did it take to ship?
      To understand: Dolk "U.S." (I use quotes for a reason) has locations in Japan, China, and (South) Korea. They don't appear to keep any dolls in the U.S. I suspect, but don't know for sure, that the "U.S." option is meant to signify - we speak English.

      On July 13, 2023, I placed the order as a "layaway" knowing I would be paying in full a little while later. There was no option to make a payment at checkout, which I found bizarre. Knowing that this might be a desirable head, I found the Dolk U.S. PayPal email address and sent payment myself.
      On July 16, 2023, I received an email from Dolk U.S. stating that they received my order. What I did NOT receive: an invoice for payment. Nor did I receive any receipt from Dolk U.S. for funds already paid.
      On July 17, I emailed Nancy about whether Dolk U.S. received payment, which Nancy replied to and confirmed the same day. (Nervous Nelly stressing over the PayPal account restriction...)
      On July 22, 2023, I sent a second payment (payment in full, including $30 shipping). I also sent email confirmation to Nancy.
      Nancy replied the same day asking me to confirm my address. Once again - no option to pay using the Dolk U.S. website. No invoice. And no receipt from Dolk U.S. or Nancy.
      On July 24, 2023, Nancy sent a picture of the head to be shipped, which I confirmed was correct.
      On July 26, 2023, Nancy requested $13 additional shipping (but NO invoice), which I promptly paid via PayPal. I also sent a follow-up confirmation email, because I was still ruminating over the fact that a website that sells stuff does not have a "pay for stuff" option. I got the email restriction notification from PayPal again, and still no receipt from the Dolk U.S. website.
      On July 27, 2023, I received an email with my tracking number. The head was shipped from Korea and took about a week to arrive.

      Nancy was quick to reply to my emails, and occasionally, Dolk U.S. runs some pretty astonishing sales. But the PayPal restriction threw me off. The lack of collecting funds at the time of order, any email receipt from Dolk U.S. for payment, and all the emails (I DID create an account with Dolk?) seemed frankly bizarre. It's just... weird, man.

      It was just fine, they took about 3 days to confirm I had ordered correctly, that the box looked correct before shipment - a bit unnecessary, but better than not hearing anything at all. The customer service was very good for an in stock item with no complicating issues
      How easy was it to pay?
      Used Paypal with no issue
      How long did it take to ship?
      It took 3 days to send out for $40 for EMS - it arrived on 9/6, a bit slower than I was expecting, especially for $40 but the box arrived with no damage.

      Probably not. It would have to be an in stock item and I’d have to be ok waiting for a few weeks and paying $40. It would be nice if we could order from the Japan store and pay for DHL express international shipping for half the price and arrive in half the time.
