Shipping Does Volks USA use UPS for international shipping?

I live in México and the only options I see are USPS shipping. I was wondering if anyone has experience asking them directly to use UPS or any other carrier instead of USPS for Canada or Mexico.
I won a Maximillian and using USPS for shipping would end up in around 1500USD in brokerage and import fees since there is a limit of 1000USD for importing using the national mail service. I know using DHL, UPS or Fedex is way cheaper for this (around 400USD).

Hello! yes, I contacted them and they told me it's my responsibility to pay for the importing and brokerage fees. However I didn't add the details about how much I would need to pay in order to get the doll from customs.
