Props Does anyone know how to make a phone or laptop?

youtube has some good videos on this, it takes foam paper, tape, and a printed image.

 

Well...you could bust your butt trying to make one from scratch, or they sell perfectly scaled little laptops super cheaply on eBay! Pretty sure there are little mirror iPads as well, if you hunt for them. Your end of the crafting can involve making many tiny fake screens for it, depending on what your girl is up to online...

 

Or you could go to ebay instead of Etsy. There are a ton of laptops, notepads and phones in 1/3 size on there.

If you’re anywhere near Wal Mart- check out the 18” doll My Life items and there are laptop or iphone for the doll. Works great with BJD too!

 

I’m going to throw in a vote to make one from scratch and prevent further plastic production.

 

If you want to make your own, there's a tutorial here for a phone, and here for a laptop but they are both made from paper. Might be enough for what you are looking for, or at least a substitute until you can make something else

MyFroggyStuff has good printables for phones and laptops for American Girl dolls and other playscale dolls, along with tutorials on her YouTube channel. I've used those and they turned out pretty nice, even though it's literally just craft foam, packing tape, and printables.

 

My doll't MacBook is MacBook shaped cosmetic mirror. It is a perfect match in size and it was super cheap.
I made their smartphone myself - I attached a glossy print of a display on a removed smartphone battery. It looks like real on photos.

 

There's a way to make cell phones and laptop replicas any size using cardboard and printer paper! They youtube video I linked is an old tutorial for Littlest Petshop Collectors, so you'll have to change the scale for a 1/3 doll. b=But I have made them before and they look pretty convincing if you're very neat about it!
