I have quite a few sets but I want to see if they are truly in scale with my dolls or not. I am a sucker for anything Sakura/Matcha themed.
I collect a few random ones, I used to purchase earlier versions (early 2000s) from Japanese sellers on ebay, because most would remove the candy pieces for me. That's the main thing keeping me from getting more fullsets, the candies (I've been vegan since before birth, not exaggerating). I like keeping mine sealed in their baggies inside their original boxes, because I'm a weirdo. My niece gifted me two fullsets of Sanrio themed boxes, for my past few birthdays. I've kind of slowed down on actively getting more. Mostly because it is harder to find the specific ones I want, opened without the candy, for a price I am willing to pay.
^ I bought a old unopened box last year that still had the candy in it. It looked like Chiclets. Edit not Chiclets, mentos
The earlier one from the beginning of the 2000s had a ramune tablet, if I am not mistaken -- I always requested those be removed before I purchased any from individual sellers. Re-Ment doesn't list the whole list of ingredients however, because Japanese laws are that apparently, if a food item is of a negligible amount to cause people allergies, there's no need to list the ingredients. At least that's what I was told, by someone that knew of Japanese foods and the reasoning for them not listing all, if any food ingredients on shokugan products. I know their (Re-ment's) ramune flavored gum does contain gelatine however, so that's why I don't purchase the newer boxes sealed, because they have the gum pieces in some of the sets -- despite my desire to own more Sanrio themed ones. Those are always the ones that seem to come with candy in the boxes. Sadly for me, good for my wallet! Lol! (:
My general saying is "Re Ment is for littles". While not in any particular scale, just what will fit in the box, Re Ment works very well with 1/6 fashion dolls and 12cm tinies. It's what mine ate before the Zuru and MGA prize balls. And that stuff will mix well with it. For the smaller BB sized ball joints it looks more like a toy, they might be more comfortable with 18" doll stuff.
I absolutely love re ments, and miniatures in general, the level of details and the variety of themes are quite unique to me. I only have a few random boxes at the moment, but I'd love to purchase complete collections and especially their tiny "room" collections with their furniture and everything for my tinies (non-bjds), and I keep the items that are too big for my larger dolls, the size is perfect most of the time
Me? That's the kitchen from a three story off brand Barbie dollhouse and as soon as it gets in to the only sun free corner in this room I will set it up again and put the dolls in it. Little Walken's Mind Dump
I loooove re-ment minis!! I used to buy a box every time I went to this one local store that carried them, back when I mostly had playline dolls like MH. They worked decently well for that scale and that's what I collected them for. My favourite was this one Japanese sweets set that I had several pieces from. Now that I've moved on to bigger dolls I've found I don't really have any reason to collect re-ment anymore, so I just admire them from afar. Honestly, not sure what to do with all the pieces I still have. Maybe they'd be better off going to another doll hobbyist someday. Sometimes I do wish there was a line of re-ment minis in 1/3 scale though. I know their scaling isn't very consistent but I don't think anything I have would work for big dollies.
I used to collect Re-Ment. This was my collection at almost it's largest point. I sold them all though, and occasionally have a tinge of regret. It was fun while I had them and I occasionally check to see what is being released. There are some really interesting sets out there. I have a small dollhouse now and was looking at some pieces recently to maybe add to it.
If they made 1/3 scale I would be in trouble because I have promised a couple of them that they could have art supplies if I found them. Yeah, that particular dollhouse has roughly 14"x14"x 36" floors so it takes up a sizable piece of real estate. I had a second identical one for awhile but it didn't survive a move :/
I've a tiny smattering of ReMENT food accessory items; Also, their Ballerina set from their Petit Mode Collection series proved indispensable in finding my Wife♥ a pair of cute Ballet Slippers to complete her Nightie Set with~
I love Re Ment! I'm a big miniature fan, but especially love the detail in Re Ment! I've collected boxes here and there over the years from various sets but have a lot of sets on my wishlist that I'd like to purchase complete! I have a lot of smaller fashion dolls that work with the scale and want to make little rooms to decorate and fill with tiny things!
I love Re-ment despite it being pretty expensive for me, so I now mostly buy it secondhand on mercari. I tend to buy collabs, especially Vocaloid and Kirby ones. I have an adorable Miku curry set on display atm!
I'm absolutely obsessed with Re-Ments!! I really like their room/prop themed sets. A while back I made some Nendorid dolls (which are still unfinished) but I needed some props and furniture that was more modern and fit a Japanese atmosphere. I have the parents home set, the kotatsu, and the Komeda coffee set. I used a Calico Critters house for most of the props I'm using. If I had a lot more room I'd totally buy more, I'm always eyeing the sets they come out with, but man I don't think I have room anymore.
Ill post a pic of my rements today since I started this thread and never bothered contributing. theyre so hard to photograph in a way thats flattering
I love re-ment sets! Almost all of mine are still in boxes right now since I own cats and still need to hang shelves for all my little tchotchkes. My favorite sets I have though are the kotatsu ones, and I definitely want some of the little food ones for my 1/12 scale dolls.
I never owned a re-ment set before but I saw that were Yu Gi Oh ones that were available to pre-order including one of my favorite character so I had to grab the set. I am now wondering what the best way is to display them once I get them.
