I taught he may go more higher price... but that $2800 is a WOA to me xD *i can't even afford $500* T______T

 

hk $22000 was not a bad price for a one-off..if loved by many supporters..
anyways, good to know that he goes for a good price and good owner.~
hope i will have a chance to attend a doll event like this~ but could not afford to buy anything

Hope Luke found himself a good home Y_Y So that he won't be out in ebay like his brother black ducan.

 

Maybe I've been in this hobby too long, but when I heard "US$2,800", my first reaction was "What? That's all?"

Didn't the Black Ducan go for a little more than $3000 last year? Guess I'd expected the Black Luke to go for even more $$ because of his size/model. And because so many more folks are DoD-crazy this year than ever before, and mostly because, well, gawd, just LOOK at him. *projectile nosebleed* Special elven tan one-offs do not come cheaply.

Anyway, waaa, I sure hope the winner has a DOA membership, & will let us all see him from time to time! He's a real heartbreaker.

 

Actually I believe Black Ducan sold for around the same price 'cause I remember being shocked how low it was but then it was put on ebay for around $4000 I believe.

 

Ah yeah, that's what I was thinking of, the ebay price.

Still! Someone was crazy enough to give him up, in the first place... ;;^^ I'd give him a good home....

 

Because the black Duncan accidentally fall off from his doll stand and broke his toe and DOD refuse to give the owner (who won the auction last year) a new feet. Therefore black Duncan was put on ebay with a relatively fair price.

This year the man who won black Luke home has said that he actually bought the doll for his friend. Just hope that Luke will find a good home.

 

Right, a broken TOE, I never felt that was reason to sell the poor beauty. Just keep his shoes on, man! ;;__;; But then, some collectors must have 100% perfection at all costs. It's just their way.

I know the dude who wound up with Black Ducan last year; he was hoping to get Black Luke this time, but alas, no such luck. (That would've been too much fortune for any one person, I think!) Whoever gets Black Luke as a gift, wow, what a gift! Hope they love him as much.

Well, I'll stay tuned for next year to see what tanned gorgeosity comes out...

He is GORGEOUS. I was surprised he only went for 2800... thought it would have gone up to at least 5k. It's a really reasonable price of a OOAK.

 

Funny, I asked Pasu Lau of Dollheart over the weekend about the broken foot, as he was there as an organizer and sponsor for Dollism 2 (and 3) and he told me that the fall and break never/didn't happen!!!!???? And he wondered if someone made up the story.....and no, he wasn't involved in the sale of the Black Ducan.....
