Limited Item DoA T-Shirts (Order Period Ended)

    1. The first of DoA's limited item releases is a small selection of t-shirts available in two designs. These t-shirts are printed by CafePress, and a small portion of each sale will go to feed our server hosting fund.

      They will be available from August 1st to August 31st and can be purchased here:
      http://www.cafepress.com/doa_goodies.

      ETA: We have made these available for 1 week, November 1- November 8.

      The "Retro" design was printed on the t-shirts that were sold in late 2004 and early 2005. This design was created by former forum owner, Aimee Major.

      The second option is labelled "5th Anniversary" and is a new design for this event. This design was created by current forum owner, Armeleia.

      We hope that you enjoy seeing them (and the bit of nostalgia of seeing the original design!), even if you do not choose to purchase them. :)

      We have also added one more design for 2009.

      ETA: Someone mentioned that the American Apparel items run small, so you might consider ordering a size up!
      ETA again: A recent orderer says that ordering a size up is unnecessary.

    3. I just wanted to add a little FYI for those who have not ordered from Cafepress before American Apparel runs small so if you order the baseball shirt up it a size. I am not sure about the others though the only shirts I have bought have been through american apparel.

    5. Are the designs on the front or the back? The pictures with the model imply that it is a back design... I love the design!

    12. I guess I'm not the only one who would like both designs available on all shirts. You pick the style of shirt, then pick which design you want on it. I loved the ringer tee, but not the design. Let us know if they will do ordering like that.

    13. I just went to the CafePress website and these sizes are way small. I usually get an XL but this XL is not what I consider an XL. Oh, well I do have one of the original tees so I guess that will be it. It's an XL and it fits fine.

    18. Just a question, but the shirts say "more colors avalible" but only black and white is avail. Like on the cap sleeve and baseball tee styles. Will more colors be made avalible?

      Plus, if I remember correctly, didn't the original DOA designs have wings on the back of it? Or am I just dreaming? It'd be super cute if the shirts had the angel/demon wings across the shoulders. :)

    20. At this point, we're not planning to add other colors (we'd have to redo the images in other colors too to make it match)...

      The originals didn't have wings on the back, to my knowledge. I asked Aimee M for the files for the original t-shirts and this is what she sent! :)

    28. So I was fussing around on paint and did that color inversion thing with the two designs if you wanted to offer all black hoodies and/or shirts?

      I'm happy with the black and white one but! It's just an idea if anyone is interested...^^..

    31. I love the designs, but hate the colors. ;_;

      You should really consider the site, Red Bubble. They do the same thing, and they have a huge range of shirt options and colors to choose from. Good quality too! And you could make the image take up more on the shirts also. Take a look. ; )

    33. Sorry, guys, but these are the shirt options for this year. We have no plans at this time to add any other shirts/ colors/ etc. And no shirts for dollies either. We did try out the inverted colors, and we weren't as fond of how it looked on the shirts.

      Sorry for any any disappoint and thanks for the suggestion of Red Bubble. We may look into that for other projects.

      Thanks for all the support, everyone! We just wanted these to be a fun thing for everyone, and we hope that members who buy the shirts enjoy them (I want the hoodie!) :)

    34. We did contact one of the doll manufacturers about having doll t-shirts made with this design, but the cost was prohibitive (as was the minimum order size). With a lot of original manufacturing, there are large up-front costs. We have other expenses right now for the 5th anniversary events, so we didn't want to spread ourselves too thin.

      It might be something we could do on a pre-order basis in a few months, but at this point it wasn't feasible.

      and since there wont be doll sized shirts released, do you guys mind if we snag the design to make our own dollie shirts?

    40. We're not sure what's up with it saying there are more colors available, because we didn't choose that option.

      At this time, we'd rather that you didn't use the designs for doll tshirts, as this is something that we hope to do in the future. Thanks!

      I hope you do find a way. I think it would be über cute to have one for the dolls.

      Now I have to see if I can get one for myself. White can be a pain sometimes but it's great in hot, sunny weather. As fond as I am of black, sunny days are brutal in black shirts.

    47. I just got my order today. I ordered the hoodie and Retro Jersey T one size larger and the Retro Jersey T is now big enough to be night shirt. The hoodie fits perfectly and is nice and loose.

    48. Did you order both of them 1 size up? Or just the t-shirt?

      And that is good info to know. According to the size chart I would need a small...but I normally wear medium (I don't like *fitted* shirts).

    54. Just got my hoodie in today with the Retro design. It looks AWESOME and it's exactly the weight that I needed--thick hoodies/sweatshirts would kill me in Honolulu, so this is great. :D
