Yukino: She likes to read books at home.

Leah: Leah's a model, so she's always minding her appearance and thinking about new ways to look good. She also likes watching movies.

Alna: She's also a model, but she has a very active lifestyle. She enjoys running and dancing to music.

Tania: Like Father, like Daughter! My little girl likes reading comic books and playing video games. She also likes playing with all of my old toys

 

Michiyo likes to just relax and drink some coffee. She prefers being alone. Sometimes she can watch over the 2 youngsters but mostly she just likes to lock herself up and enjoy the silence. No one really knows about her hobbies yet.

Mikku is the total opposite. She loves playing, being around others and just have fun! All the time! She is quite an escaper when it comes to house chores too.. Why do that when you can play. She is quite a master of puzzle and she loves solving jigsaw puzzle.

Ryuu is quite silent but just hangs around Mikku mostly. Ryuu is a real observer and learns very quickly when she sees other do things. By now, she's almost as good as Mikku when it comes to jigsaw puzzles. She still can't beat Mikku thou.

Fitzwilliam is a painter. He paints abstract art using only the colors red, black, and white.

Aigidios just likes to bother the neighboring nymphs. That's the satyr in him I guess.

Shinta: Practices aikido and kenjutsu and loves playing with his kid Beorn. Will start doing some fashion modelling soon.

Anje: Kendo champion and she recently became a fashion model.

Beorn: Playing, playing and more playing, running around the house. Generally, being a kid

Hajime: Aikido and having fun with Cirrus.

Cirrus: Dressing up, taking martial arts lessons and having fun with Hajime.

Johann: Also taking martial arts lessons and has finally enrolled in university, after more than 300 years! At the time, being an orphan he didn't have money to go and get a degree which often troubled him.

They've formed a LARP group as well, usually playing Shinsengumi at portal based events with Hajime as their leader, playing his old self .

 

Ilari: He's really my character most suited to being a doll since he doesn't really do much of anything. He's got lots of issues.
Emie: As a werewolf, her hobbies would be hunting, killing things, and eating them.
Mariana: She's a princess, but a pretty neglected one. She would probably spend her time exploring the castle and gardens with her best friend who, admittedly, is only a stuffed animal. Poor girl.
Lorina: Her main hobby is definitely reading. Her friend Ari is sick most of the time and their guardian really just doesn't care so luckily she doesn't mind playing nurse and taking care of him.
Ari: Just likes spending time with Lorina. He's illiterate (and can't really see well enough to learn) so she'll often read to him.

 

Narumi collects models, he likes to paint them and make photostories sometimes.

Cordiel enjoys reading because he can't remember anything, aside from his name, from before he met Michael--so he has a lot he needs to learn. He also likes putting on skirts and twirling around in the mirror. Sometimes, he'll go out and fly around for a little while, mostly in bird form.

This is a question for those of you who have elaborate backstories and/or personifications for your dolls. I realize that that's not everybody's thing, so if dolls are just decorative objects to you, that's cool. But I like to imagine what my dolls' likes and dislikes are, and hobbies are an important part of my life, so that extends to my dolls, too.

As part of their personalities, my dolls have hobbies and interests outside of their normal daily routines or job skills.

If so, are they hobbies you're interested in yourself or something you wouldn't otherwise bother thinking about?

Megumi is an artist and has aspirations to be a mangaka. Miyae plays piano and loves to sing. Ashe plays guitar and rides a motorcycle. Belle loves to dance. Chaeri collects dolls and stuffed animals. The only one of my dolls who has an interest I don't is Johnny, who is very much into cars.

Do you collect objects that relate to your dolls' hobbies or interests?

Megumi has a manga collection and artist's materials. Miyae has a keyboard she lets Chaeri borrow. Ashe has a black electric guitar. Belle doesn't need props for her hobby. Johnny has a Craftsman toolbox that holds his tools (he doesn't have a car yet, but I intend to get him one). And Chaeri has four dolls and a whole doll's closet full of stuffed animals.

I think that, at the end of the day, I like my guys hobbies even though I don't practice most of them, for example cooking (I don't know how to after all xD but I wouldn't mind to learn)

Yup, one of my guys loves to plant flowers and has a big yard full of them, so I buy a lot just for him

Most of their hobbies are similar to mine, like reading comics and photography, etc… but a couple of them are interested in stuff that I'm completely disinterested in. Heh.

Yep. Finding tiny objects to their scale is really fascinating. They do make do with human-scaled items, but would really prefer having working props. ^^;

Zhouyu likes to do mischeve and play like a childe, but also collects books and reads a lot. He plays the violin and the shamisen too. Oh, don't tell but he is my spoiled little elf, and a fashion victim of my tastes and trends. And of course, cosplaying^^!!!!!!!
Jean is your world traveler per se. He had enough time to round it at least a dozen times by now, and probably did. He love Japan with a passion and has developed a likening for potions and alchemie, thou I think he still likes the arts, poety and writing. He loves theatre and novels, music and lenguage. And fine wine.
Lucius is an eccentric. His hobbies change like the seasons and his likenings do too. He is immortal and has been interested in all things known and unknown too. What he likes most is messing around in other peoples life.
Loki is a little split personality god of mischeave, chaos lies and fire.... do the maths when he has been trapped in a childs body for who knows how long..... messing around would describe it the best, thou he has a very sweet thooth and I have caught him reading now and then too. He likes studying all unknown things and is a seacret fashion victim and a sucker for traditional chinees court clothes.
Louis, my rolling head, loves to talk. and eat sweets. Don`t ask me how he does it.

No, I don't share all of their interest, but a lot of them.

I collect nearly all things my doll could eventually use. If they don't have a use for it, I create one, and if that is not possible, I sell the things again. I have lots of props, and the amount is growing every day^^.

Deimos plays violin and listens to classical music. Sayuri collects pokemon (mainly Pikachu). Xander has the most hobbies/interests, he likes photography, drawing and painting, collecting toys, watching anime and listening to J-pop/K-pop.
I'd say most of those are similar to my own interests, I don't play violin (wish I could) but I do play bass. And I fully understand where they caught the collecting bug

Deimos has his own violin with stand and a hard case so he can take it out on his travels. Sayuri and Xander both have big collections - pikachus, toy cars, dinosaurs, pirates and soldiers. Xander also has his own easel, blank canvases, palette and paints, as well as a digital camera for his artistic needs.

 

Absolutely! My main doll is a seamstress and the clothing I make for it will include a lot of embroidery and beading.

Éosine is a mechanic, she loves repairing clocks and trying hard at maknig a time machine.
Mandibule is more the quiet type, but she enjoys playing tricks on people and then blaming someone else.

 

Johnny, at the ripe old age of seventeen, collects stuffed animals. He particularly likes teddy bears, but anything will do. He also likes to read and play marbles, and he's a skilled pianist.

Alistair isn't much of a hobbyist, but he does like to hunt and fish. He does this for the purpose of eating, but he also enjoys the thrill of the chase so one could call hunting his hobby. He's also a practical jokester.

Chloe is a mushroom hunter. She can't eat any mushroom she chooses like her off-topic roommate can, but like Alistair she enjoys the thrill of the hunt. Also like Alistair, she loves to play pranks. Chloe and Alistair are often partners in crime.

Johanna collects blind bag figurines. My Little Pony, Littlest Peter Shop, Puppy In My Pocket, if it's cutesy like that then she'll add it to her collection. She is also likes lolita and mori fashion.

Ylla shares Johanna's fondness for lolita style, though she's more of a Gothic lolita (Johanna likes sweet). Being a Martian, she loves to stargaze. She's also a passionate David Bowie fan.

Cinder ( doll leaves oscar) even though he's really embaresed about it he does somewhat enjoy being an art model simple because he likes helping people.

 

My dolls all shell characters from a little town outside Atlanta, GA. So yeah, they all have hobbies like any group of people do. I've 40 of them so that's too long to list - the one that most of them share is a love of cosplay (role playing, costumes, all different kinds of 'dress up'). I've one doll that collects dolls LOL A couple who are motorcycle nuts (I NEED a 1:3 scale Harley - just saying). Several who like anime. Also Kpop & Jrock. I've an old otaku who loves photography. I've beledi dancers, drummers, knitters

 

Like Teleri I have too many dolls to list everyone's hobbies, so I'll just mention a few.

Freyr likes collecting German WW II replicas, and replaying strategic battles, and practicing his marksmanship, and his survival, and battle skills.

Wraith likes talking to bugs, and inviting them home to live with him as pampered pets.
He also likes rescuing toys and other things that none of the other dolls want. Lol, "Give it to Wraith." and "Wraith will like it." are phrases I hear a lot.

Luka likes following and playing the stock market and making carefully calculated investments. He's quite good at it too. Being a demon of the Dragon clans, he naturally has a dragon's luck when it comes to amassing wealth. Oh, and he like reading books by and about successful people.

Peregrine likes playing various musical instruments and composing music. He also likes cooking, and coming up with his own recipes.

Autumn likes taking care of his horse, and going horseback riding with his brother and his cousin. He also likes collecting animal stickers with his brother, and playing with their toy horses. Autumn loves to draw and paint also, especially while listening to Peregrine practicing his music.

Merlin likes to hang out at the skateboard park with his girlfriend Monroe, where they practice their skateboarding tricks, and try to invent new ones. He also likes to just hang out and play video games or watch movies, usually with Monroe. Sometimes he goes down with some of his friends to shoot hoops at the community center's basketball courts.

Gyrfalcon is seriously into soccer, he wants to be a professional player when he grows up. He's one of the top players on his Youth soccer league team. Lol, the boy eats, sleeps, and breathes soccer!

Kestrel likes to play tea party with Mr Finnigan, her stuffed toy fox doll, and she likes watching and helping her brother Peregrine in the kitchen when he's cooking. She's only five, but he lets her help by washing vegetables, or mixing stuff for him, etc. Sometimes when he's making cookies he lets her have some of the dough and some little plastic cookie cutters, so that she can make real cookies for her tea parties. Peregrine is a good big brother.


....and then there is Lucifer, or Lue. He probably has the most hobbies, the foremost one being clothes and shoe shopping, with MY credit cards! Lol.

Lue is very into his Japanese heritage, (he's a Volks Kohaku), so he performs Taiko, and plays the Shamisen. He also writes Haiku and does Sumi painting. Practices various Japanese martial arts, including Kendo, and Kyudo. Plus he does Ikebana, and performs the Chanoyu, the Japanese Tea Ceremony.

Lue is a bit of an otaku when it comes to anime and manga, he collects anime figures, usually cute gothic Lolita girls, and ones in traditional dress. The two clothing styles he particularly loves. He really enjoys going to anime conventions, cosplay, and shopping in the dealer's room, again with MY money!

Lue collects dolls, he even has several BJDs of his own. I'm only allowed to keep the boy tiny BJDs, Lue appropriates any tiny girl BJDs that I get. Then there's all his Teddy bears, and other plushies, and of all things, decorative pillows!

One other hobby Lue has, and he's going to kill me for this, is that he loves dressing up in women's style kimono, the longer the sleeves, and the prettier the pattern, the better. You can't get him within ten feet of Western style women's dresses, but a traditional Japanese women's kimono.... Oh yeah!
In fact he totally surprised one of the doll doctors at Tenshi no Sato, he seriously thought Lue was a pretty little Japanese girl...... until he got down to Lue's traditional fundoshi!

 

Mischief plays several instruments, being old enough that it just passes the time. (Some of them not particularly well LOL) he's really fond of violin and cello!

Mayhem is a blacksmith and she knits.

Angel, Cuthbert, and Dylan are all gamers and cosplayers! They also like anime and comic book collecting.

 

Alex plays basketball and skateboards. She also likes to read and play video games.

Fujiko likes to sew and has a garden.

Orchid likes shopping. Lots of shopping.

Cheonsa, Sayuri, and Bri are all elves, and unbeknownst to most humans, there is an underground fae/supernatural scene in most big cities. Clubbing is a thing...they just have to avoid shady vampires.

I don't know about my two newest girls, Himeko and Kumiko.

Emily is 4, I don't know if watching cartoons counts as a hobby.
