Do you have a picture that would make non-BJD people scratch their heads?

P. Tsuki and I were packing up our dollies after playing with and restringing them. Her Euclase, Osiris, couldn't stop smoking even with his face protection on. Yes, that is a soccer ball scrunchy holding the bubblewrap on his head.

I finally have something to add to this, mostly because I just walked around my apartment and took pics of the stuff lying around.


My dining room table has only had doll stuff on it for months now. Here we see faceup-practice barbie and... what the heck combination is clear coat (crappy version used only for practice / not-actual-dolls), hair detangler, glue, and paintbrushes for? Gee I wonder.



The doll stuff that is always hanging around, like the toothbrush for wigs, other little brushes for wigs... oh, and the paper mockup I made of Asura's general measurements. (The sign under him is the one I took to the DC Rally To Restore Sanity. )



If someone knew this apartment doesn't have children, they might reeeally wonder over scenes like this.

well i haven't had anything to contribute in a while but I was restringing my boy the other day will IMing with a friend of mine and I turned back to finish restringing him and he just looked so content I had to take a picture.

 

I hope this isn't too obscene, but my mum pointed this out and I had to take a picture. Sorry it's bad quality, I took it on my phone.

This still creeps my mom out, although a floating bald alien head is by far not the worst thing to walk in on when dealing with BJDs:

So I've had my Minoruworld Leila for a week or so, and she's been sat next to my Angelheim Luka all that time. Only today did I realise that I have been missing the elephant in the room for a hybrid possibility.





;D I think it looks quite dashing. The reaction from my non-BJD friends was very positive! (For people who sell weaponry against Frankenstein's monster <_<).
(There's no resin match between AH ws and MW ns even though it sorta looks possible with this picture, my lighting couldn't be more yellow if I used a lemon as a light bulb).

 

I was changing strings on Alice and it ended up like that.. all weird. Looks like she is crawling around, trying to gather her bodyparts.. And her pupilless eyes kinda make her eerie.

 

The flash has it a little washed out, but here's my dish of eyes. Just Vince's when I snapped this shot, but at one point there was another pair.

My first restringing attempt today, which was so scary but turned out really well, despite having to... improvise some of the things to hold her elastic.

 

I was so proud I got her to stand on one leg, I had to snap a photo. I was in the process of restringing her, and she just sorta posed there...

For my submission: I took the picture because I loved how graceful her arms looked; she reminded me of a ballerina. Except...y'know...a headless, legless ballerina... Which I guess might not seem quite as elegant and beautiful as I pictured it, if one is not OK with random body parts. >>;

 

I can finally contribute! I was switching out my boy's eyes and stuck them on the putty so they wouldn't roll away. Then, when I looked down and saw this looking up at me.



He is still sitting there. I think he's my new desk guardian. I am calling him Melvyn.

So I was working on an outfit for Natsuki, and there're some parts of it that can't be put on without taking her apart a little bit..

I was simply amazed that she could balance. the wierdness didn't hit me till I showed someone else.

 

I was doing some eye swapping all while running a quiz on one of the Harry Potter pages I admin on facebook, and Reino there has an old style headcap so I had to unstring him to get to his eyes.

 

Hands up!!!

I always wonder what the 2 magnets in the headcap are for??? Any suggestions?

 

the magnets in the head are also great for putting the feet on

but serious, one of my ltfs has a pair of horns, so those magnets are nice for characters who have horns or something like that. I also made a hairpiece that could be attached with a magnet as well, works great
