Jordan's knees are wired with soldering wire so he's actually really stable like this, but I'm guessing most non BJD people wouldn't know that.

I finally got a pic I can add to this thread!

I was adjusting the eyes in Ryuichi's loaner head and talking to a non-BJD friend via IM and explaining what I was doing. He wanted to see, so I took this pic with the lamp behind poor Ryuichi so that my friend could see his eyes better.

Needless to say, the pic creeped my friend out so bad that he was afraid that he would have nightmares!

Poor Sanja [the loaner head with the practice faceup.] This might be the only time I willingly show his face!

My very first time stringing, and... Awwwwwkwaaaard....

 

At a doll meet at Epcot, we decided to be every single doll at the meet into the phone booth. The amount of dolls was overwhelming.



And at an angle, so everyone can be seen...

 

Sanja, aka Ryuichi's loaner head was finally getting a new faceup, and I hated seeing him headless, so I put Kuma's head where Ryuichi-doll's head would be, and this is the result!

Dirty dirty dirty. And no not in the mental sense! Roomate snapped this pick while I was giving Nigel a bath to get rid of some pant stains. He's all nice and clean, though to some weird people this picture might not be! xD

Here ya go:

My boy, Dorian, a modded Obitsu 55cmboy. I had taken his upper body off his lower to fix both his tail, which was coming unscrewed and his wings, which needed a bit of reshaping with hot water. I had sat the two halves of him down on the bed for a minute so I could finish undressing him and I just *had* to take a picture because I realised it would have looked totally bizarre to a non-doll person. That bit of denim at the bottom of the photo is the other half of him. XD


And:


I had finished working on Finn's faceup and *then* realised I had *no* idea where my sealant was (I was doing it right over the remnants of the factory faceup), so I had to put his head somewhere it wouldn't be disturbed until I could go get some. This was my solution. And I had to have somewhere to put his wig, and since his head was not an option at that precise moment, I figured his neck was the next best place.

 

My boy's head was off for a faceup when his body got here. and apparently a headless body freaked my mother out. So Raine_Delmont's suggestion was to stick a little cup on his neck and draw a face on it. This caused more stares. Ignore the text.

I've gone through this thread and have burst out laughing at some of the pictures XD Which I don't do very often.


That was my failed attempt at making a hat back in my 1:6 days. And a failed face-up too xD

I guess this wouldn't make non-BJD people exactly scratch their heads, but it was quite amusing to set up...

And a note: that dish towel isn't her only piece of clothing. XD They were just pictures within the first month that I got here where I foolishly forgot to buy clothes before she arrived :<
