    2. I'm happy you started this thread, thank you! :)

I have a Lilac Aurie and Lullaby Aurie head on layaway. I'm anxiously counting down until she comes home. :chibi

I've been meaning to compare the body measurements against other similarly sized dolls to figure out what clothes might fit. If I find anything I'll share with everyone here.

    3. I would really like one if there is ever another ordering period! They are all so cute, but I think Aurie might be my favorite.

      • x 3
    4. I do love them, if I have more doll budget some day, I will definetly buy one if there will be pre-order then. My favorites are Aurie, Lili and Ursie (there are so many lovely colors and faces that it is so hard to decide). I love how they are sculpted and how versatile they look.

    5. Thank you so much for loving Teacups! :love
I'm working on a clothing and shoe guide to help everyone dress up their Teacups, but in the meantime, I can recommend these shoes:
      - From Skdollhouse on Etsy in Blythe size canvas boots, bear sneakers and roller skaters are a perfect fit. Please note that not all Blythe size shoes will fit, but I tested these mentioned and they work great ^^
      - From MoriTime on Etsy Imda 2.6 shoes are also a very good fit, they are a little bit but stay on and look great, easy to put on with socks as well.
      - From Summomo Momonita boots are also ok fit, they look nice proportion-wise, but there will be some space in the toes ^^

Clothing is a lot easier, in general, Imda 3.0, yosd and Imda 3.0 dresses, shirts and skirts going to work well. Pants can be a bit of a challenge but if they are stretchy and have elastic they might fit (especially pantaloons like pants) ^^ Some oversize dresses or tops in Blythe size might also work, but not always <3

Pink shoes here are from Skdollhouse and off-white ones are from Summomo ^^

      Hope it helps! ^^:celebrate

    6. My Sweet Cocoa Ursie is ready to ship and I'm super excited!
I gave up on smaller dolls earlier this year so dressing her is going to be fun/slightly intimidating, haha. And this new preorder coming up is killing me, I was going to get a Lili but now Owlie is calling my name. Why must it be so hard to choose when I just want them allll.

      • x 1
    7. The sculpting for the new Teacup Marionettes is so creative! I don't think I've ever seen sculpted lashes on a doll before, and they're so cute. Owlie might be my favorite, though--those ears are really special.

    8. Hey everyone! I wanted to ask, does anyone have a Teacup in Nostalgic Biscuit or Sweet Cocoa resin? Could I please ask how it compares to Fairyland tan resin? Or, same question but for Peachy Rose versus FL normal? Thank you!

    9. Yes, I do have one in Nostalgic Biscuit and I also have tan Fairlyland dolls here. However, it's really dark outside, not sure if the pictures will turn out great. I'll try though.

    10. @Sharkyra, thank you so much! No rush at all. I appreciate it!

    11. [IMG]

So, here you go. It's fairly similar, though not exactly the same. The nostalgic biscuit is slightly paler and perhaps more yellowish in color than the more reddish Fairyland tan. However, please keep in mind, that Fairyland isn't very consistent with their tan skins either! This is an older tan from 2015, rumor is that their newer tan is now darker?!? So depending on the type of hybridisation you are planning, it might be more difficult to match the resins.

      • x 3
    12. @Sharkyra, thank you so much! This comparison is very, very helpful. Although I like the teacup heads, I'm also wondering what a different head, like a Littlefee or a YoSD, might look like on this body. It doesn't seem like there are a lot of hybrids of them out there!

If anyone else has Peachy Rose to compare to Fairyland normal, I'd love to see that, too. Or Volks normal/fair! TYIA!

    13. [IMG]

These dolls are still quite new, they had only 2 or 3 preorders so far, that's why you probably don't see many hybrids.

    14. So in love with these dolls. The resin colors are so varied and unique, and the sculpts are just lovely. I hope I can get one someday! I would customize mine into a cute ballerina. I feel like the small feet would suit that so well.

      • x 1
    15. Oh yes, these ballerina feet are just too cute. You should absolutely do that ballerina one day ^___^!

      • x 1
    16. Thank you! I hope they have another pre-order when I am able! Or that I'd be able to find a second hand one from the marketplace here maybe

    17. I love the body sculpt on these soooo much. I also feel like the body would hybrid well? Excited to see more pictures as everyone’s dolls start to come in from the recent pre order. I’d love to see more resin comparisons too

    18. By the way as I understand it, there will be a new preorder beginning from tomorrow (January 4th).

EDIT: The preorder is currently live. All existing Teacup Marionette are for preorder in all existing colors.

    19. These are really fun and unique. Love them!

    20. These are just the loveliest little dolls ❤️

    21. Hi! Does anybody have a comparison photo of teacups and Blythe or iMda 3.0?

      • x 1
    22. @Sharkyra - Thank you for sharing this artist with us. The Teacup Marionettes are just super adorable. It's nice that the pre-order coming up offers the option to buy different hands and accessories for more posing versatility. I would love to order one, but I have to watch my budget. It will be nice when the teacups start arriving and people start showing their unboxing pictures/videos.

    23. I love the aesthetics, but for some reason I keep rehoming mine the moment I get mine. So far, I sold 2 out of 3. I have one more to rehome. I just can't get the combo of skin color and sculpts to my liking.

      • x 1
    24. I saw the Teacup Marionettes recently and absolutely fell in love! I plan to get one as soon as I can.
I’m also completely in love with the other Marionette lines, and I plan to collect as many sculpts from the artist as I possibly can.

    25. YoSD aren't my thing and I only really collect boys, but I might not be able to resist these little ones. The wolf parts really got to me and Leo is so adorable. I went back and forth with what resin tone I wanted and ended up with Sweet Cocoa. If anyone has examples I'd love to see, very excited ^_^

    26. Ooh, I didn't know there was a discussion thread for teacups. I just love DoDollsDream's overall aesthetics.
I finally preordered my first teacup, Lottie in sweet cocoa resin and got a faceup slot for PauliAnneDolls. :love
I'm currently hunting for shoes, eyes and wigs. Very excited for her.

Edit: For anyone, who is still interested: The preorder is still up until today, Friday 17th, 16:00 GMT.

    27. I also ordered Lottie! I got her in Sakura pink! I just couldn’t resist!! Congrats on the faceup slot too! Those faceups look so nice! I am going to start sewing dresses for her until she arrives so that she has a nice wardrobe of rococo styled dresses!

    28. They are such cute little dolls! My favorites from the new girls are Leo and Lottie!

The only reason I'm not keeping my Ursie is that I bought one of the larger Miss Marionettes and want to have funds for clothes/eyes/wigs for her. DoDollsDream is definitely one of my favorite doll artists, though. I am always eager to see what she works on next!

      • x 1
    29. Just received my first teacup! Ursie in Sweet Cocoa. Already made her a little set, currently working on drafting some more patterns for clothing in her size (she is my only 1/6th doll)

Kinda stumped on which direction to go in for faceup/wig/eyes. I like her in these browns and earth tones, but lavenders/pearly pastels also seem to go well with the sweet cocoa skin (they really bring out the purple undertones in this tan)

    30. Wow I love her little outfit! Good job on it! I can’t wait to see how you style her faceup and wig! :love

      • x 1
    31. Aw she is adorable!! I can’t wait to see how she comes along.

    32. I don't think there is a waiting room for Teacup Marionettes so I'll post this here. I was contacted by PauliAnne today, who does the faceups for the Teacups from the latest preorder and she said that she'll receive the Teacups for the faceups this month!
So they should start shipping soon. :celebrate

    33. Oooh exciting!!!

    34. Does anyone have any tips for buying shoes for teacups? Most tiny shoes I find are usually too slim for them.
Btw, has anyone received their teacup yet? I haven't seen any owner pictures yet. Would love to see some of Lottie.

    35. @Amadiel - Many of the shoes I've seen DoDollsDream and others using for the Teacups have come from SKDollhouse:

For example, these canvas shoes, sneakers, and skates in Blythe size (the skates are a bit snug, but you can see that in DDD's actual photos):
In-stock SK Couture Canvas Boots for Yosd 1/6 BJD Imda3.0 Msd MDD 1/4 Bjd SD10 - Etsy
In-stock SK Couture Bear Sneakers for Blythe, Jacoosun Rou, Obitsu 24, YOSD, Msd, Mdd - Etsy
In-stock SK Couture Roller Skates for Blythe 1/6 BJD, YOSD, Azone, Obitsu 22, Ob24, Holala Lati Yellow - Etsy
In-stock SK Couture Short Rubber Boots for 1/8BJD, Dodollsdream Teacup - Etsy (these are specifically for Teacups)

I remember also seeing some Mortime laced shoes in brown, black, and grey, but I can't find them so maybe they are no longer sold. You might still check out their website or Etsy, though.
Leisure Shoe for Msd/yosd/ Imda2.6 / Blythe Girl BJD - Etsy

      I hope this helps!

      • x 2
    36. @StellaMarigold Thank you so much! You're right, I remember those laced shoes from Moritime, I think I saw some teacups on instagram wear them. And those brown moccasins are just too cute. Thank you for the links. <3

    37. @Amadiel - You're welcome! I have a huge weakness for tiny shoes so I tend to pay attention to them X)

      • x 1
    38. Some people on instagram already received their first (blank and with faceup) teacups, shouldn't be long now anymore. :dance

      • x 1
    39. I received mine! I’ll post more when I paint her face!!

    40. @SunshineGirl Congrats on getting her, she looks super duper cute!
Can't wait to see her painted.

    41. Thanks! Here she is!

She was so much fun to paint!

    42. @SunshineGirl She is so cute! I love the dress you gave her.
I'm getting really impatient for mine now. I wonder how long she will take. I haven't heard anything from Paulianne regarding the faceup *sigh*.

      • x 1
    43. Thank you!! Hopefully she will be finished soon!! :XD:

      • x 1
    44. Wow, she looks amazing! Simply so cute.

Popping my head in to say - anyone else receive the newsletter with the new prototypes? They're so precious! Quite excited to see what other pictures will be posted. Owlie's new feet are super adorable!

    45. I want to get a teacup during the September 2024 preorder but I need to have an approximate idea of cost. Can anyone share how much a doll was in the last preorder? Thank you!

    46. Thank you for responding and for the link. It’s exactly the info that I needed. ❤️

    47. You're welcome! Glad I could help! I appreciate the fact that the website shows past orders - it is quite useful.

    48. For anyone who has a do dolls dream girl what is the better wig size? Also any good wig suggestions I'm looking for some and I used to shop at leeke word but that was before the bjd hobby died.

      • x 1
    49. I'm wondering about wig sizes, too. According to DoDollsDream's website they are 6-7 and 7-8. I hope my Lottie can share wigs with my Minifee girls.
Luts is a good place for wigs, they have a big selection to choose from and the quality is always nice.

I'm still waiting for my Lottie, but last week I received in progress faceup pictures from Paulianne, so she is about 90% done I'd say and already looking adorable. Can't wait for her. :whee:

    50. I got my Teacup Marionette Lullaby Maggie (3rd-hand purchase) last week. She is absolutely adorable and very whimsical.

The dress and shoes in this pic are from Aliexpress. The dress is YoSD sized, and the shoes are Blythe sized.

I wanted to ask of anyone has tried restringing these dolls' wrist pieces. I find that there no range of motion except rotation. Pretty sure it has to do with the s-hooks.
Was thinking of substituting upholstery thread for those s-hooks...
      Any thoughts? :love

    51. those are great looking shoes!! I have been trying to find some.

    52. Inexpensive too! If you need a link, let me know.

    53. Wow, she fits Blythe shoes? That is impressive! Guess I'll have to search for some Blythe shoes now.
As for the wrist joints, yes, they are really not that flexible at all. Please let us know if you find a cure for it.

    54. Yes, they are supposed to be Blythe shoes. I did cross my fingers when I ordered them, as I was not sure they would fit. They do though, but tightly.

Will do. If my idea works, I'll post about it. :)

    55. Forgot to share my Lottie here. She was probably the longest I ever waited for a doll, 8 months. But she is just adorable and probably my most spoiled doll already. But I agree, finding shoes for her is difficult.

    56. She's so beautiful! I especially love her hair!
      Which resin colour is she?

    57. Thank you! Her resin colour is sweet cocoa.

    58. It's very tempting to try again with these. I wasn't a fan of the way the resin felt before and was upset at the lack of sanding off print lines in some places for their price point, but changing the casting company is pretty appealing to me. I had no idea they were different companies! But she said the resin quality is much better now and heavier, which I super love, so I'm tempted to try again. Especially for Yo-SD, I love when the resin is thicker. Gives them some nice weight. They're just so cute and I love love Lullaby Lottie. But then DDD keeps releasing too many pretty colors to choose from!

    59. Ohh... so with the new casting company, the resin colours are new too:

I really like the look of "Wayward Wind".
