    3. That is brilliant! I'm going to have to try that :D

    4. Ill definitely have to try this! The weather this summer has been crazy, so this would probably help loads!

    5. Thank you! I knew there must be a way to spray inside, but my brain never got me there.

    6. with some small adaptions, this could be used for sanding as well.

    7. Thanks for making this tutorial, my partner has C.O.P.D, so spraying indoors is impossible. But, with this spray box I might be able to spray indoors and vent the box outside. Definitely making one this weekend.

    8. This is a brilliant idea, and we have lots of shipping boxes standing around. Maybe it is also possible to construct some kind of hanging device for pieces which need to be sprayed all around...I have to figure something out.

    9. All I would say is.. Use packing tape, not duct tape. Duct tape tends to come off of corrugate.. It doesn't bond as well.
I'm going to try doing something similar but I'm going to use something like this and I want to make it air tight:

    10. Do you get the recommended 18" distance from the spraying surface with this?

    11. This is an amazing idea! Thank you so much for all the tips and answers to my questions on Instagram (PlayfulDead). I am on the hunt for a proper box to try this out now!

    12. THIS IS A BRILLIANT IDEA. Thank you very much for sharing! I will be trying this myself. I was so upset my sealant never turned out like I wanted it to xD

    13. This is amazing! Thanks!

    14. Great idea!

    15. Hi There! You can vary the distance depending on where you cut out the arm holes. Bigger boxes will allow you to space out your arm holes a lot more freely than smaller boxes. Also I find that different sealants will have different effects when sprayed at various distances. Different sealant bottles will also have different nozzles that spray at varying forces. I rarely spray at a set distance on the one head.

The sealant I use most is Mister Super Clear. When I'm layering the base seal, I want more even coverage and less texture, so for this I would spray at super close distance, at most I hold the MSC can at 12 cm distance. As I layer on colours, I do not want the sealant to be as thick, so this is when I start pulling back and spray at 15-18 cm distance. Pulling back means by the time my sealant lands on the resin, it would be mostly cooled and dispersed by air so they will end up very granule-like and this is good for creating fine pore skin texture which I sometimes use. Personally I've never sprayed further away than 20 cm distance. I find that over this distance the sealant will have more chance of trapping debris and moisture which will at a later stage cause sealant flaking or misting.

    16. Thank you for the good advice.

    17. I should also add that I don't use a lot of sealant sprays with my faceup. I tend to use only 3-4 layers maximum.

    18. This is so cool!

      Thanks!

    19. Helpful tutorial. I like the idea and the though that a good sized plastic container would fit most of my needs. Great work

    20. I'm wondering where to find a box like that. It looks like the lid opens and closes, but they're not common to find around here.

I thought of just using a copy paper box. Not sure if a normal box that folds in at both front and back would work.

Otherwise, love this tutorial. I'm going to find a way to amke one of these. :)

    21. Thank you thank you thank you!!! My sealant always seems to misbehave and this is so genius! what a wonderful summer project this would be now where will I find room for it haha!

    22. Genius!!! I always do spray outdoors, but it's really not convenient. I'll try this! Thank you for sharing!:D

    23. I live in Ireland and the humidity is always above 75% apart from a few odd days during the summer, a little covered spray booth will definitely come in handy!

    24. How does this tutorial not have more likes?! Thank you for posting this, I'm definitely going to try something similar!

    25. Cool lucky to find this post I am sooo scared of every spray I made to my doll. But I really love the feel of her skin after having a new spray

    26. Great tutorial, thanks for sharing! I made my own box using some of the same steps and it came out better than I could've hoped for. :)

    27. I need to make myself one of these! I live in a first floor apartment that's half sunk so no patio. I used to go on my balcony to spray and now I have to leave the building completely. Also since I live in a cold climate half the year I couldn't do anything. This will invaluable, though I think I may go with the suggestion of using a clear storage tub.

    28. I may need to make one of these for myself, since it's usually too humid outside where I live to spray MSC outside. Thanks for the tutorial!

    29. This is such a good idea! I live in Canada so I can’t use sealant for like 7 months out of the year, which really puts a damper on my enthusiasm for customizing
