Aesthetics Disfigured cyberpunk girl - new faceup done - 01-27-2025

Nov 29, 2015

    1. Hello everyone!
I'll try to keep a thread up-to-date for one of my projects, making a disfigured mercenary girl in a cyberpunk world ^__^
The victim is a WS l'Armoire de DanDan Harlan on a now Fairyland Feeple 65 body. I'd like to found jointed hands for her, maybe Soom hands (the nicer jointed girl hands I've seen until now). We'll see that later.

      What I'd like to do:

      Mods To Do:
      • sand seams lines on the body (done)
      • making cyborg mods on the body (complete on 06/21/2019)
      • fill up the scar in the forehead (complete)
      • mod the eyesocket into normal eye (complete)
      • add some piercing (complete)
      Aesthetics To Do:
      • faceup (first done on 11/28/2015, second done on 01/22/2025)
      • tattoos (firsts done on 07/02/2019, to redo)
      • manicure (never finished, to redo)

      Wearables To Do:
      • torned tights (done on 07/10/2019)
      • tank tops (done on 06/22/2019)
      • sleeveless jacket
      • shorts (done on 06/21/2019)
      Crafting To Do:
      • half mask (done on 07/24/2019)
      • googles (maybe)
      • wig (complete on 06/10/2019)
      -----

      Edit on december 2024:

I did painfully a first 'complete' aesthetic job from 2015 to 2019. But I notice the faceup cracked and a bit come off on the nose after some pics I took of Abigaelle this year. So! I wiped her faceup (all cracked it was, it was really hard to remove). I will probably redo the body job too, as I never was happy with it. Idealy I'll redo it next year, but I know me and it may last for the next 6 years :|.

Here is a pic of her previous look:

I'll update this post when she will be redo all fresh and - I hope - better!

    2. It looks absolutely amazing! I love how skin-texturery it looks, you can see veins, wrinkle, pores and all those small colour differences!:o I am very envious for your talent but I also feel really inspired by your work. :chibi Not to forget, the modding you did beforehand. How you managed to make the eye as precise as the other, I am speechless! Great job with the mod and faceup, you really have a lot of talent.

    5. Thank you very much! The eye is not exactely the same than the right, but it's not awful :)

Thanks! I'm quite happy with her face, now all I have to do is her wig/manicure/outfit/tattoos/mask ^^'

      Thank you very much :)

    6. jeeesuuuusss! This looks amazing, I already love this head but you made it even better, is so sick! <3

    7. Thank you very much!

Currently I'm working on her wig, but it's not as easy as I'd like.
As I've said in first message, I'd like to do a dissymmetric wig for her. Brown roots and blue-green hair.

The first try was a total fail...
I tried to bleach some of my brown kidassia. The result was quite unexpected. Not blond, not lighter brown, not even ginger. A deep, shiny, beautiful... orange.

      You can see the disaster:
      (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
I tried something else. Dying white alpaca in brown, blue and green.

      Here the second try:
It's far better, isn't it? :dance
Next step: gluing the weft on the wig cap. See you soon!

    8. Even though the first try wasn't what you wanted I actually like that color as well! LOL It makes a very pretty brown to red color =u=d

I love the blue, green and brown tho, even though I'm a sucker for black hair I love colorful wigs >u< they stand out so well, and I really like the blue and green that you picked, much better like you said!

Can't wait to see how it looks once is done, pretty sure is going to look amazing! <3

    9. Gonna have to track this thread. Looks amazing so far, I admire the face up!

    10. I love the teeth details! So amazing and inspiring to me.

    11. Ahhhhh I love this sooooo much! It's just awesome and man I'd never heard of this head, but I want it so bad...Anywho, your work looks great and that faceup is just beautiful. Can't wait to see this girl finished! XD

    12. Oh wow, well, there's a new thing to want! I've been out of this hobby too long. Horror sculpts? Man, sign me up.

This is seriously astonishing work, I hope my next esthetics attempts look half as good. Even though it says so in the OP, it didn't even register in my brain that you had modded her eye until I Googled the original sculpt. If you don't mind my asking, what sculpting material did you use to fill it in? It totally looks like it was already cast that way.

    13. Thank you very much!
I use milliput for the eye mod. With chalk (pastels) to taint it in a color near the resin color.

Well, the first try won't be totaly a waste, because I will use those brown and now red hair for an other doll :)
      Thank you very much!

      Thanks!

      Thank you ^^

      Thank you :)

A long time after, some news! I'm working on her wig, it is nearly finished. I'm working with scargeear's tutorial (on DeviantArt) for the last 10% of the wig. That will be the longest part! Lace wig, haha, so beautiful but so long XD

I've mod her ear too, adding 6 piercings.

A little view of the top of the wig, and the lace part:

    14. She looks absolutely amazing so far! Her faceup looks so realistic, and I like the colors you're using for her wig :) Can't wait to see more!

      • x 1
    15. That eye mod is absolutely flawless! Had you not shown it unpainted, I would've thought that was the original head! The faceup is gorgeous, too, and the wig puts me in complete awe! I wish I had hair like that ahaha

      • x 1
    16. Thank you very much! I still have not finished her wig. Lace wig takes so many time! Even when you do it only on the top of the wig...

      Thanks a lot :XD:

      ****
I'm currently working on her half mask. I'm using woodformo + Ladoll for the basis and an epoxy paste for the teeth. Still a lot of work on it! I want it to have two rows of teeth, like sharks.

As an aside, I was delay with this mask... because I let it fall on my cup of tea! :doh It has become mushy for a while.

    17. Oh goodness!! I can't tell you how much I love this project of yours!!! <3 I can't wait to see more :3

    18. Wow!!!! I didn't realize you modded the eye until I looked at it a second time! Good job.

      • x 1
    19. Can I just tell you how cool this project is? I'm not usually one for gore/horror-themed dolls, but this is amazing! That mask looks like it's going to be awesome too!

      • x 2
    20. Ooooooh this is amazing! And I'm always fascinated by the materials people use in their modding: I've never heard of woodformo before!

      • x 1
    21. Your face up is incredible, and the wig is turning out spectacularly! The alpaca took that dye beautifully

    22. She looks absolutely amazing; you've done such a great job on all those details. Her eyebrows look so realistic, I actually can't tell if they're painted on or if they're tiny hairs that were meticulously glued on. I can't wait to see her finished! :O

    23. Thanks! Today I'll show the updates on the mask :kitty1

      Thank you!

Thank you very much! I do not like so much gore-themed dolls, but this head has so much potential I did not resist buying her :XD:

Thank you! I do not even know if woodformo still exists. I bought mine more than 5 years ago.

Thank you very much! I'm still working on the wig. It's so slow, but one day I will see the end of it

Thank you very much! The eyebrows are painted only. That's a nice compliment, thanks!:dance

      ****

A very long time after, here are some news!

I still didn't finished the wig. I think I've done half of the remaining job. It's not hard to do, but very slow. Around three hours for a square of 1cm x 1 cm... No pictures of the wig at the moment.
I'm working slowly on the half mask too. And I took some pictures oh how it looks like right now:

Front, with the next fangs for the second row of teeth:

      Front:

      Side:

      Inside:
I ran into difficulties with the first row of teeth. I tried do glued them but it was too breakable. Then I fixed them with woorformo on top of the glue but it was still breakable. At the end I used white milliput inside the mouth (and outside as gums). Now the teeth are strongly attach to the mask :thumbup

I'm wondering if I'm going to paint the first row of teeth before going further. I fear it would be really difficult to pain the first row when the second row will be in front of it.

    24. So glad to see an update, this project is just too cool! That half-mask is amazing, I'm sure it will look great, no matter what you decide to do. I can't wait to see more!!! :D

    25. This project is really outstanding...your skills rock!!!! Just love everything and can't wait to finally see your girl finished, although I know I will want to own your doll more than anything ha ha ... I love the way you are sharing all the good bits and the mishaps too, that is really inspiring!!!! Thankyou

    26. Oh, this mod is looking to turn out amazing. I love how the mask is looking at the moment and it's just going to look better with the second row of teeth. Hope to see a new update soon!

    27. This mod is turning out so good. The little details of the face up look great, those little veins are just wow. That mask can't till it is done.

    28. So happy to see this update! It's coming along so well, I love it!

    29. I can not get over how amazing this is so far!

    30. Wow everything looks so amazing, I love the wig and the faceup, can't wait to see it completed!

    31. Came here from the shiva project journal; your mods are so beautifully done and the faceup is gorgeous! Can't wait to see future updates!

    32. I love the concept for this doll. The mask looks so incredible. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

    33. Wow, this is so amazing!! Those details on her face-up are jaw-dropping (terrible, terrible joke, I apologize, but they are :) ) Can't wait for future updates!

    34. Omg this looks amazing, I can't wait to see the final product! :D

    35. This is a fascinating project. Keep up the good work! Just as excited as everyone to seem more updates.

    36. wow so creative!!! :)

    37. Wow great job! U r very skillful
From what material u r sculpt it?

    38. Thank you for your enthusiasm! Long after, I've a little update for this ******** mask

Thank you very much! I've some more mishaps to share I fear. ^_^'

Ha ha I didn't knew this boss from Silent Hill. I'm a little chicken-hearted thing. I dislike scarry movies or scarry games! Well found!
      Thanks for your compliments ♥

Thank you! I hope I will finished this mask someday. It is very thin and far too breakable. I have broken it. Again. :doh

      Thanks!

Thank you! I work very slowly on this doll : The wig gives me headache. The mask is once more broken. The body was finally too little for the Harlan big head. What a mess!

      Thank you!

Thanks a lot! I hope she will be completed one day. This doll is very uncooperative.:XD:

Thank you very much for your comments and compliments! I hope you will like the next updates on both Shiva's and Cyberpunk girl's project journals :whee:

Thank you very much! Her concept is changing with the compromise I'm forced to do.

      Thank you!!

Thank! I hope you're patient

Thank you! Here the next updates ^____^

      ****

      Little updates!

I didn't work on this doll wig anymore. I'm not sure I will finished it. Maybe it will be a better idea to redo it with less fibers and NO IMPLANTATION. It's too slow for me. I'm not enough patient. I can allow as much time as needed for tattoos and faceups. But wigs ? No.
I work a little on the mask.
It broke in two while I was working on the lower jaw's teeths : now I have the lower jaw on one side and the upper jaw on the other. That's not a big deal. It only remind me that this mask is very thin. = Breakable. I will fix it when I'll finished to fasten the second raw of teeth on the upper jaw. I've fasten all the teeth on the lower jaw. I fixed only two teeth on the upper jaw before giving up for a while.
BTW this break is maybe a good thing! It will make the painting job easier! :wiggle

    39. Very cool! Would love to see the finished product

    40. Wow, what a neat project! I absolutely love what you've done with her. That shark mask is so cool :love

    41. Great job! The shark mask seems like such a cool thing to make and looks really good thus far! Everything you've done so far looks awesome as well!

    42. This is truly incredible. I am in awe of your work! You have such amazing skill! I hope you will have more updates in the future:D

    43. Some news, nearly two years later!

Thank you! I began to work again on this mask some days ago. Better late than never!

      Thank you very much!

Thank you very much! The shark mask is nearly done now. I will keep a raw aspect for it.

Thank you! Here some updates, one year on a half later!

      Second attempt for the wig

I've done the first wig with some tulle and a glue called fabri-tac. It's an acetone based glue, and the result is really hard. But it was really hard to do the lace part on it. I even broke a needle on it.
And 4 years later, I didn't find the will to finished it! So I began a new one, with tulle and latex. I took the hair of the previous wig, so the new one is shorter and with less brown roots on the right side.
I still have the finishing touch to do, but here's some pictures of it:

Next time I will show the mask! ^_^

    44. Better late than never! And the wig is looking very cool.

    45. @ronnie92 Yes, better late than never! And thank you :)

      Mask WIP

I've decided to work on the mask again! I've glued the broken parts and I've strengthened it with milliput putty. I've fixed the second row of teeth on the upper jaw also with milliput.
I've also worked on the side of the nose and on the nose itself (a little). I use woodformo when the previous modelling was made in a mix of woodformo and ladoll. That's why the new modifications are darker.

I need to find a black string to fasten the mask on the doll face (here there is a little of blue-tack holding the mask). When I'll have it, I'll drill holes for it and I'll paint the mask.

      Wig done!

      I've finished the wig yesterday!
I did the finishing touch like a lace wig :

It's quite long to do, I did it in three days.
And there is the finished wig :

Now I need to work on her body! I've change it, it's no longer a classy body (it was too little for her big head). I put her on a Fairyland Feeple65 girls body. The proportion is far better!

    49. Really amazing how long you take time with this project. But it looks like every hour was worth. I am super excited to see her finished!

    50. :)

I'm really slow, and I can let a doll in a corner of my workshop as long as I don't find the will to continue working on it. But she is my current doll in progress so hopefully she may be finished this summer!

      Body mods in progress

I've worked on the body modifications lately. I began it a very long time ago, when this body was under an other head (something like 2011 or 2012). I've added the brown details recently.

    51. Very interesting I love the head mod. I'm not familiar with that wig technique where did you learn it?

    52. @skyealloway Thank you! For the wig technique, I read and mixed different tutorials and also learned by practice.
For example, I inspired myself from scaregeear tutorial. I did something like that for the finishing touches.

      Tattoo in progress

I'm currently working on the body aesthetic : the tattoo on left arms and the chest and right arm's blushing. Because of the weather (the heat is awful), I'm mostly working with watercolors. I prefer acrylic inks but they dry to fast.

I need to finish the tattoo (I don't know if I want it to last on the upper arm or to extend on the lower arm as well), and I want to darken the mod arm and chest blush.

    54. Your work is seriously so amazing! Everything about this girl looks so cool!

    55. So awesome! Love the tattoos!

    56. Absolutely gorgeous!

    57. Thank you very much! She's one of my longest project, but not because she takes me a lot of time, rather because I'm especially slow on her. XD

      Thank you!

      Thank you!

      Arm's tattoo done

I've hesitated to let the arm that way or to continue the tattoo. In the end I will keep it like that.
I still have the mask to finishe, the manicure to do and some sewing. But she is nearly finished!

    58. Wow, this girl is absolutely incredible, I can't believe the amount of time and effort that's gone into her!

    59. You have done an amazing job so far and I like many, can not wait to see her completed. It seems like you have had a ton of fun designing and thinking through your ideas and making a cohesive doll. Overall from what you have shown us your doll is spectacular.
