Swap Discworld Swap!

I don't know what to comment... because I'm still somehow speechless ^^"
So, it looks like I've to be the first to post, because I've received my first parcel already, from Aernath, and still looking at everything I got in awe.

I guess I'll post again when I'll receive the second parcel, but I'm happy to share my happiness ^_________^


Death of Rats popped out first.
Kind of scared the dear life out of us all, and then made me smile and cry a little too.
Death of Rats has stepped twice in my house already, this year, to take away my two pet rats. It's nice from him coming to stay so I felt like a proper official portrait needed to be taken:

I'll probably never use them and will just treasure them, but see... this is my first swap ever. I know it's the whole point in a swap order, taking time to hand-made things and props and outfits and everything, but hey, I got moved by the fact that Aernath actually took the pain to look for the signs and paint them one by one on this tiny little paddles. *_____*

Little coins dropped around, running to be added to the dragon's hoard.... pity that my house is full of evil bunnies, so here we have the "Raiders of the lost hoard" ready to be baked by an upset dragon XD (sorry, I'm silly but I couldn't resist, it was so perfect)




Last but not least, grumpy Hirion Lithdel received some additions to his Guard starter kit: a WatchStick made from a stick and a lantern (with batteries!) to help him not to fall face down in some gutter that might non only protests, but also fight back a lot, while padding along the streets.
guess who's a not disgrunted boy now XD




... and I'm happy as Punch, Judy, the dog, the crocodile and the DW fan all rolled up in a single person.
fingers crossed, eyes shut and lot of praying to be able to make my partners at least half as happy as I am!

 

I'm so glad everything worked out! I'm so sad for the loss of your pets though. I had to put two of our cats to sleep last year as well. It was just a bad year for pets I guess.
I actually had fun researching and making the paddles. ^_^ I might make a set for my boys too. lol

I was nervous about whether you would like the things I sent, or if they'd work, or...
So when I got a big box from Italy yesterday, I thought "oh no! They didn't like it and sent it all back!" XD
But to my surprise, we received some very nice gifts! Thank you so much!

The wizard's cloak fits nicely and I looooove the red velour! And it's lined! I don't think I've ever taken the time to line anything myself.
And you made the dragon?! VERY nice work!
The staff is perfect - even with a knob on the end of it! heh heh heh
Shipping was a little rough, and the knob did break and was bent over, but all the pieces were there, and the wire inside the staff kept it together. I got the knob back upright, and I think I'll be able to fix it up easily. ^_^
It fits Darius' hand nicely!
And an aromatic bag of magic dust! Just the thing to make spells more fantastic.

Darius is quite happy getting to play a wizzard!

Hi! Since I love Discworld, and am new to Den of Angels, I thought this would be a nifty thread to peek into. How fun to see the amazing stuff folks made and received! Bravo!!!

And yes. we'd really need a Bill Door for a while, this year. for pets. yes.

aww. it would be nice if we could really start a tradition to celebrate the Glorious 25th of May!!!

I thank you all. For hosting the swap, for taking part in it, for everything you all did.
It might look something small and 'just doll life not real life', but it has been good and healthy for my life. I've been happy, and I've been happy to create and think and imagine and give.

So, thank you, with all my heart.

And now, ladies and gents, let's be off to the Mended Drum, we have some songs to sing and they requires an happy drunken heart XD
(silly soppy me, who can't stop to sing the Hedgehog song these days!!!)
