"Elf Shushu head (2007) on a A-line body (2008) for 450 $ + shipping

The resin difference between her head and body is minimal (see photo #3) and is either due to her face-up or a combination of that and the minor difference in resin batches.
Damage: no damage
Yellowing: a little yellowing (even)
Details: I can only assume the doll body, at least, has yellowed slightly in the time I have had it. She has been out if her doll bag infrequently, so her condition is still excellent. Some of the color difference between the head and the body is from the MSC in her face-up.
Purchase History: I am the first owner of both parts of this doll. The head was part of the 2007 sale and the body I ordered approximately a year later when Fairyland split from Luts and put out the A-line body."

As its price seems to me high for an old body, I asked questions (in add) before the purchase to be sure of the level of quality and have no surprises.

Question asked:

Me : « can you send me more about the model of the body (bust, legs) and its real condition? would you have a picture of all the items included ( it's possible not buy all if i don't like?) And the box? »

Seller : « Her body is the original A-line with large bust. At the time, I don’t believe they had leg options. She is in excellent condition. » « I am including the extra items (wigs, eyes, etc) for free …»

Me : « Have you protected her face before makeup?
« The yellowing is very uniform? »
« Should I think about changing the elastic band? »
« Sorry, I have a lot of questions, but I just bought a doll with a lot of things hidden so .... you are the first owner, it really can not have a copy of the invoice? »

Seller : « I don’t have access to the old email account the head and body emails were sent to. The head, as my sales thread says, is from 2007. The body she is on was from a year later, because, when I bought her head, A-line did not yet exist. »

« The faceup was done by someone here on DOA shortly after I first bought her; she was MSCed to protect the resin from the faceup.
I haven’t had any issues with her elastic, but I’ll check it when I take the photos to make sure she’s still flexible.
The yellowing on her body is very uniform and, I think, very light. As the sales post says, she mostly sat in a doll bag. I do not take her out, which is why I am selling her. »

The picture of the box shows the original box" Luts Shushu elf " so of the head, but not of the body which is not that of shushu elf.

There is no "bag", but 2 white pillows inside, it does not matter to me. The skull has darker traces, maybe just dirty, but as I planned to remove makeup for a new one and put on a wig it's still ok for me.

The shipping carton (original LUTS) arrived without deformation or hole, but the adhesive tape (original) was defeated because it no longer sticks. ok...

Body: The points are legible in the resin of the back, between the homoplate spatulas. The seller says : “It is possible they were from when the doll was cast.”. The doll was sent with pieces of bubble paper without ties around the doll. When I received it, the bubble wrap was not (or over) around it. The extra eyes and hands in a plastic bag added with the doll may have done that (or not?), But it's not the carrier's fault.

- The elastic is not broken and doll standing, but doll must be restringed really for me, please look video on:

- I know that the old minifee are more yellow compared to my littlefee of 2010 and my 2012 minifee , so I compared with the resin remained protected from the light inside of the 2007 head shushu elf (more "pink" and clear) and the 2008 body allows to look like the yellowing is « severe » not : "standard" yellowing".

- The photos do not always show the flaws, but marks (orols of different tones) on the belly and back are visible to the naked eye, other marks are visible of rubbing, normal to use but normally less common on a doll that " She has been out if her doll bag infrequently, so her condition is still excellent".

I given't other details about the accessories that are not normally included in the price.

I accept to believe that she has been in her box for a long time because she has been on sale since at least 2016, but to me, she is not in the state that I seem to be describing.
Because I love the head for a long time, I agreed to pay her with old body in very perfect condition.
View the state of this body, I would not have agreed to pay so much.
I take a lot of pictures with some of my dolls by changing places, clothes and positions and other rest more quiet of their box so I think I'm not too wrong...?!

I think it is stupid to return the doll because fees are already paid and lost :
(+ 60€ customs) + 55,80$ shipping (US to Europe), + exchange costs € to $.
I look at the price to restring this body ( I do not know how to do it myself and I'm not that time), sanding the traces with the shipping to someone in the BJD middle:
25$ restring (if I buy everything I need I will have for more expensive it seems), to catch the different color on the body : 20$ sanding and 25$ blush body ( or may be 40$ juste Sanding all body?) + 2x16,5 $ transport for that...and I accept more yellowing than described

I ask $ 95, the seller offers to refund $ 50 (for body), I do not agree.

Friday 24 10h31AM no new so I sent an Message Privat (I'm sure you receive your notifications by mail, otherwise normally if you have a problem you should do it...) I said that I will open a dispute at the end of PM .(post meridem) .
May 25 in the morning no news, I opened a dispute via paypal, you could answer it.

I make efforts to be clear and honest in a language that is not mine. My problem is body but I explain more to have an overview of this doll and this sale.

I do not agree to wait without doing anything.
I was clear before buying : "no surprise" .
If the doll has traveled well, ok! then the problems come from before sending. if you have not seen well, or find that it is very good i'm not agree. we're talking about a collectible doll, you know the environment and the market. Before say you not happy (May17) , I thought about it and asked for advice from bjd collectors. So I think I do not act dishonestly.

 

PayPal has proposed the return of the doll at my expense, then a partial refund of $ 78, price offered in the above posts by Psychoticelflet5 (after direct negotiation trial). I accepted the PayPal offer today.
