I am trying to find a Normal Skin body that matches well with the Dikadoll Normal Yellow Skin, but am having quite a bit of trouble. At this point, my girl is on a Resinsoul slim 43cm body and looks rather odd. Could someone help me out?

 

i love Dika doll elf, anyone know if any color go well with Fairyland body?

yup, and I'm glad they did that since I didn't like the boy sculpts before but wanted the boy body. hopefully they do this for the other minis

 

For what it's worth, both the European dealers i know of -do- sell heads seperately. ^.^

 

I'm thinking about getting a whole LingYue (boy? the Dika site says that's the girl though...) from MOC but it depends on how much I'm spending for X-mas. Also trying to figure out what color to get. IS it proven that the recent WS is yellow white (Ivory?) not papar white? I need yellow white not paper. Xd

ellejayvee: Rena is my second favorite Dikadoll mold! I almost bought her as my first doll, too. Was Rena a doll you were hinting at that you wanted?

candy_coated: It'd be fun to have more than one LingYue/Ri wandering around DoA! By the looks of all the pictures on MoC, the white skin does appear more yellow. Also, if you look at SarahRachael's Dikadoll Review, you can kind of see the yellow tint in the Dika white skin.

Thank you very much! I had a feeling Dika pink was too pink for matching with FL NS but not too bad it seems with some blushing. Xd
Now gotta figure out if yellow is closer to FL NS. :]

I ordered a Rena head before the new year (someday I might get it lol) and now that the Sleeping Rena has been released I'm 100% certain I'll be getting that one as an alternate head/body for the OE version. I so love sleeping/dreaming dolls!! And Rena is so cute!!

How's the DK body?? Pose well? How's it look in comparison to other MSDs? I'm just trying to get a feel for size.... :3

OH and as far as resin matching goes, I ordered the Pure White, so I can compare it to CP/FL WS if anyone is interested.

I only got a head, so I'm in the process of getting a body for mine. I was going to go with DK but...he seems pretty big there. I wonder if a smaller body would work. I want something significantly smaller than a Resinsoul boy. Maybe a girl body would work better.

Does anyone have DK and an RS?? How's the size diff??

Hi all ~

I searched the DOA measurement data and couldn't find any for Dikadoll. Went to their web site but couldn't find what I need.

I have a commission for one of their mini boys, Lingyue, a 1/4 kid doll.

I need to know the length from the shoulder seam down the front to just below his knees. This is for a hospital gown and shorts.

I would also like to confirm the measurements I got from their website, as sometimes they're incorrect.

Chest 17cm
Waist 14.5cm
Hips 19cm

Can someone please tell me if these measurements are correct?

I really love Lingri/lingyue How adorable they are! nelalius your Lingryue is so nice looking! I wonder.. do you think that that the normal pink would match RS?

 

My friend is getting her first BJD and it is a dikadoll rena head, in whit. we are wondering what wig size fits as well as what bodies resins would look best with her? please and thank you!

 

I just ordered a Dika Doll Rena. She was an in stock item and was shipped right away
She'll probably be here sometime at the end of next week. So that doesn't give me much time to get her a wig.
What size wig should I get her though, a 7-8?

 

I'm quite impressed by Dikadoll! Their quality is great and they have such beautiful sculpts! I got my second mini body now, but this time I decided to get a full doll. Usually I only needed the body for another head but since the price for the full doll wasn't much higher, I thought it would be a good idea to get another floating head to play with... So I ordered Dikadoll Blanca, pure white. And I fell so much in love with her head - I ordered an own body for her the same day.

I was wondering what eye size do fit this children? And wig size too,

And do normal MSD sized clothes fit them?

I'm considering of getting one so I'm looking everywhere for those info.

 

My doll is in the mail and she'll probably be here tomorrow *fingers crossed*. I have all 7-8 size wigs in my collection, I'll try to fit her into one of those and let you know if it's the right fit. I plan to order some 6-7 just in case. She will come with random eyes, so I'm guessing 12-14. I can measure them for you if you want. Also about clothes, MSD size ones are all I have, different variety, so some of them must fit her.

 

Can anyone tell me how smooth or gritty dikadoll resin is? I bought some jointed hands a long time ago and I was wondering if their resin is any less smooth/shiney than it used to be. I'm in love with Yolanda~ >w<

 

Dikadoll resin is still extemely smooth and shiny. You won't be disappointed. I love touching the arms of my dikadoll Rena ... I bought her in May this year.

 

Dikadoll resin feels so good!!! I also love to touch my Blanca all the time, it's so smooth!

This thread in not very active at all..
But I have a question, which would be better to my from: a dealer or straight from the company? I am thinking of purchasing from the company, but how much would shipping be? It doesn't say and I can't place a mock order because ordering is email based.

 

I bought my girl from Mint on Card. The doll was in-stock with face up, so I got her right away, saved me the wait time. The shipping was like $30 something, and was super fast. If you are not good with waiting, MoC always has in-stock Dika dolls, or if not then they can always order one for you.

 

Oh wow! If the shipping is around $30 from MoC, I think I'll order from Jeeryama. The shipping is close to the same, and I can get a free wig, and my order will go in when I pay. : )

Does anyone have a Yolanda? I tried searching for pics here and other places, but nothing popped up. I guess DK isn't really that popular.

But~ I ordered! I've got a LingYue coming in with a Blanca.

I'm not sure why they aren't popular. Maybe just not on DOA but since they are sitll producing dolls they are probably popular amongst other groups. I love their sculpts and I'm a bit on the fence with the posing ability of the bodies. On the one hand I like their stability but they are pretty stiff little guys. I love my Rena though and would consider getting more of their sculpts to hybrid.

Did you get two full dolls? I really like Blanca but I think i have to see these sculpts in person to know if I like them more than my Rena lol. (She's got the cutest cutest elf ears I've seen yet and I would love to find an elf boy to match her. I tried Doll Leaves Wish but they don't look good together.)

 

I got the Lingyue and for the event gift I choose a Blanca head in normal pink. She's going to go on my off-topic hujoo dana body.

I don't like the girls body, for me it looks too young. So I'm only going to do hybrids for them. xD I think I would like to get a Yolanda also, but probably not anytime soon.

There is a girl on dA that has a DK Rena head on a Soudoll body, she is very beautiful.

My Yolanda arrived today from M.O.C.! I'm super happy with her! She doesn't have a name yet but here's a picture:



She has the normal pink skin and a dikadoll faceup.

 

The thread is not dead, but it does move veeeeery slowly. Which is a shame, because Dika is great!! I'm not sure about the wait times, my Evelyn came from a UK seller, she was in stock... I have heard someone on Youtube say they were fast though!

The more dika's i see the more I fall in love. They have a very unique look to them. Here is a YS blanca I just finished painting. She's one of my first airbrushed heads. I will be painting a Yolanda soon as well as my own elf Rena heads. (to be honest I think Blanca might replace Rena as my favorite Dika sculpt because of her mouth. So cute!)

EDIT: I'm curious to see photos of dika faceups. I always really like their photos but I wonder how close the actual product is to the photos.

 

Thanks Wennie! Of the childlike mini sculpts I really love Dika and DIM sculpts the most. I have such a hard time deciding whether I want to collect more small headed slim mini sculpts like Unoas or big headed child like sculpts like the dikas and DIM dolls. I don't have the budget/room for both types and I would like them to all look good together in photos -____-.

Here's another shot of blanca in a different wig. So cute! I kind of wish i had taken a photo of her blank head next to a blank rena and yolanda so we can see the differences more clearly.

I think the Rena head is a nice cross between the bigger and the smaller heads. She looks nice with my big headed AS Leira, but also with my FL MNF Rheia. Maybe you can still take a pic of Blanca with the other heads? I'm curious about the comparison too.

I personally think they are great posers, especially when sitting down. You can see a few of my pics above and I'll post some more soon, when I'm not typing on my iPod. I particularly like how Dika resin is nice and heavy, which makes them feel quite sturdy. I've heard people complain about their feet being a twinge on the tiny side, thus making it harder for them to stand, but my girl wears shoes and I've had no issues. The body has a few of those little crevices that makes it hold poses really well, so she can slouch realisticly and also cross, stretch and pull up her legs excellently when sitting down. The fact that their resin is on the heavier side does mean that balancing her in really difficult poses takes some effort and I don't think she would be able to stand on one leg for instance. But she might with some sueding, because all the parts do fit together quite nicely, it's just a matter of creating a bit of resistance. All in all, I think Dika did a great job on the posability of their dolls!

 

Personally I really like the dika resin and while they aren't the best posers out of the dolls I have, they pose well for the body type. Since they are chubby children, they take good poses for chubby children and are very solid standers and sitters. they take the basic children poses, suwarrico and knees to chest poses very well. They look quite natural in theses poses and fall into them easily.

However, they do not take dancer like lyrical poses as well. Understandably tho, I only expect my slim and mature minis to do more languid posing.

 

One of the reasons I was drawn to Dika is mainly cos they looked a little chunkier so yay! I'm really looking forward to receiving my first DikaDoll. She'll be in chunky shoes so no worries

 

My DikaBlanca is playing me up... I have been keeping her in a box... uncared until yesterday when I put her full scarf saree on... I have to say the Little Woman has a certain personality...

I'd said I would do pics of the three sculpts from Dikadoll that I own. Here is a shot of Blanca, Yolanda and Rena Elf together. I was going to take it before I painted Blanca, but I forgot. -____-



You can see that Yolanda has the shortest face and Rena has the longest. However they all should work well together. If I still have all three when they are all painted I will take another group shot of them ^___^. Perhaps a cute one of them all in kimonos!

 

I am really interested in the Monica head, but it seems I can't find many owner photos at all, is she a new sculpt?

 

Does any one have any idea what might match the WS? I'm thinking about getting a body for my Ling yue/ri that has longer legs.

Their WS has a pinky tint to it..

 

Dikadolls are lovely. But I'm getting a service unavailable every time I visit their page recently. Love their minis (so cute, and not overly mature) but I'm curious in their posing. Anyone has pictures on that?

 

Allie, Dikadoll minis pose REALLY well. If you look up Dikadoll review on youtube there's a good video there with some examples of why and how they pose!^_^

 

I find they pose alright; pretty well, but there are obvious things that could make them better.

Their torso joint cannot move far at all, just a teeny tilt. If you take a peak inside they have this HUGE lip all the way around that makes it impossible for the chest to move. The arms even though they are double jointed move the same amount as a single jointed doll. Not only that, but my peanuts in the arms always turn around. ugggh.

The legs move great though, and also with the head and hand movement. The head movement is great! I love how far back/forward he can tilt his head.

 

I really like Rena, but have you guys figured out whether the Yellow Dika matches Fairyland normal skin?

 

I'm very interested in monica, but no one seems to have her :r
