Dika doll waiting room

not sure if anyone is active on here but i currently bought a AAAAA dikadoll head w/ face up

 

Honestly Dikadoll has a suuuuper short wait time compared to most other companies. I got my Chijin(a 72cm doll), plain doll with no makeup and all, within 20 days during their campaign, which is supposed to make the wait time longer. My friend got her Lucius(full set!) within a month as well.

 

I am here to poke this thread with a stick to see if there is still life in it.

I am waiting on a Guang Nian! Not too many people have him, so it will be exciting to see him in person and figure out what I want to do for his faceup.

 

I'm waiting on a Pan! I ordered him at the end of April

 

I have put a Kalavinka fullset on layaway at Alice's collections (Along with Droma's Tibetan outfit). Dika is seriously impressing me with their clothing lately!!

 

Whoot! So nice to not be alone in my wait! Dikadoll is so underrated in my opinion.

 

Definitely, they're so pretty but I only ever saw them get seriously mentioned for their jointed hands, way back.

Only trouble is, I have NO idea how long their wait is...

 

Well, I ordered mine at the end of April and he came into the dealer a little while ago.. so just about two months? I ordered some Taobao stuff with my order so I have one more layaway payment to make next month before my boy comes home.

 

Ohh, I ordered mine the end of April too (clover-singing) and finished payments at the start of this month. Fingers crossed he ships out soon, then.

He's tan and painted though... apparently I was able to get a limited Pan, which makes me a little nervous as his sales period ended forever ago...

 

That is odd, but perhaps Christina has some pull and was able to make it happen?

My boy will be Tan as well. I am nervous/excited to see how the color looks in person since I have not seen many photos of the newer tan color.

 

Well...he was limited 20, not limited time, maybe the 20 didn't sell. Dikadoll doesn't seem to be super popular, so it's possible (even though their dolls are gorgeous)!

I hope the tan is similar to the promo pics, I saw an older tan and it kind of just looked like a dusty NS.

I may have added Red Moon on to my order I was not a fan of him originally but I happened to come across photos of him with no makeup on Dika's site and he looked so different! In a good way!

 

I ordered just a head from dika doll through Alice's a few years ago and it took about two months. More recently I've been waiting on an order I made from clover singing near the end of April for a fullset floyer-b so I'm thinking the wait will be a bit longer hehehe

I hope when you guys get your tan dolls you show them off, I've been wanting to see more owner pics of their tan color since I'm interested as well!

 

Did you get the cream or grey clothing with him?

I will for sure be sharing photos of my boy when he gets home. He will not have a faceup for a while, but I will share so people can see the color.

 

@Tonboko I got the cream clothing! Though no face up since I like to do them myself so hopefully that helps shave off a little time lol.

Hello. I order 1/4 winter solstice, How many months wait dikadoll?

Dika seems to normally have around a two month wait. I have my doll already waiting for me to make my final payment on a layaway order, so as soon as I pay that, my doll will be on his way.

 

The end of April, so this was seriously fast! He's 70cm, tan, and has a faceup - mentioning this just because those are typically the things that slow down shipping from other companies. So yeah, Dikadoll is FAST.

 

My dikadoll floyer is home!! Took around 2 1/2 months which is not bad at all for a fullset.

Unfortunately the clothes are way too large, and for some reason the wig I got is black when the ones in the pics is blonde! But it's ok, i have another doll that can fit the suit and I decided to try and make my own wig for him, just confused why the items were inconsistent. not going to kick up a fuss since like I said, I can make it work lol. I did order him on the 68cm body so maybe that is why the suit doesnt fit, although I have a hard time thinking it could fit properly on one of their bigger bodies! It is HUGE! I have a doll with quite a beefy body that absolutely nothing will fit but the suit is a little roomy even on him

I gotta say I love the 68cm body though, it's one of the best posing bodies I own now. Really easy to make it look natural and I even got him to stand with one knee bent. Strung super tightly so maybe that's why.

Anyway! Sorry for my rambling

 

Pan SHOULD arrive today, so I'm hoping to be able to get pictures later. I also noticed that clover-singing removed the listing for the limited tan version from their site, so I think I was just really, really lucky...

Cross your fingers for me that I don't get a missed delivery slip, he went by FedEx smartpost and will be dropped off by the post office, so I'm really hoping... If they don't deliver him today, I can't get him until Thursday at least

Edit: Just got notification that they dropped him off ahhhh!!!! Only...five hours until I'm home from work

My Red Moon shipped today? It hasnt even been a month. I still have one more month of layaway on Kalavinka so hopefully he will be ready to go as soon as i finish it

Well, I just made my final payment on my Clover Singing order, so my boy should be on his way home soon!

 

I ordered Yolanda Elf version early this morning through clover singing.

I do love uncommon sculpts I guess! I only found a few owner photos so I hope I made a good choice.

 

I was very tempted to get her as well. Some of the Dika sculpts are so hard to find photos of. I have only ever seen one other Guang Nian… which makes it hard for me to decide what to do for my boy's faceup.

 

@Tonboko I've heard of people finding blank images or taking their own photos and using photoshop or similar tools to play around with potential faceups, so that might be an option.

Also if you don't mind me asking, what do you think of his joints and posing? Does he stand pretty well?

 

@Mutation, both he and my Rena stand like rocks!
Their arms are not all that great for double joints, and the elastic channels are very thin so it makes wiring a pain.
The torso however is great! I took a few shots here. Keep in mind his outfit was not allowing me to make use of the upper joint, but I could still get him to bend and twist pretty well. Also, forgive a bit of doll bum in the one shot, his pants are a bit snug as they were made for a Luts doll and Dikadolls are a tad thicker.

 

Okay, so I ordered a little 1/6 Aron head today. I have this random Resinsoul Bao body, and it is hybrid time! I've heard the Resinsoul and Dika Doll are really good resin matches, I guess I am about to find out! If not, there is always body-blushing. It comes with face-up, but, I have other plans, so I will probably wipe the face almost immediately. I just know he is going to be so cute when I get him fixed up!

 

Apparently my Dika Doll Yolanda Elf got shipped the 19th, though I imagine world issues are going to delay her.

She was ordered April 12th and either shipped/shipping label created on June 19th- so barely over 2 months wait- super fast O_O.


Edit on shipping : She's stuck in airport in China. I have now waited 1 month on shipping. I hope shipping doesn't exceed the rest of the wait time.

 

I ordered (short layaway) Dika Doll Egretta on August 16th, so I anticipate she might be home sometime in October - excited!

 

She arrived! Sept 4th, 2020.

I have no clue what happened to cause her 2 month delay and dropping off the radar aside from Current World Events(tm), and her box was moist and super dented. Her cushions got dirt or possibly mold and are being washed, but she seems fine. I wonder if she got shipped by boat???

@Mutation Whoa, that's scary, glad she arrived safely though despite the moist and dirty box O.o

I have been the proud owner of a (white) Dikadoll Dobbie deer for a few months now, and a few weeks ago I noticed that Jeeryama had a tan Dobbie in stock, on sale too. I waffled and the doll got relisted, for full price, but after a week the 30% discount was put back on. Then for a moment it looked like she was sold (turned out I was using the wrong search words in the end...) and that made me realize I really did want her, so when I found the listing again I pounced. She'll be my first tan Dikadoll and I can't wait to get her here. Since she's in stock he should be shipping in the coming week. Hopefully she'll get here quicker than the last doll I ordered from Jeeryama, who got stuck in Covid lockdown measures and took weeks to get here after being shipped out.

 

My Dobbie's listing said "in stock, can be shipped within 1 week", but after said week I hadn't had a shipping notice yet, so I shot Jeeryama a message. I figured there may still be covid related delays going on, like with the previous doll i ordered from them who did get shipped out on time but they forgot to notify me about due to lockdowns happening. No such thing happening this time, according to Christina's email they... couldn't find her in the warehouse? I think that's what this message says:

So I asked her to please send me a shipping notice when they would ship her out, she replied Dobbie is scheduled to ship out tomorrow, so here's hoping^^.

 

Jumping in here since it's the first doll I ordered after a doll break - I'm getting a QingMing, the merman. I am beyond thrilled to get him! 2 payments of his layaway are still to pay, but I might be able to pay him off sooner.

 

I just put an order for a Jackie thru Alice’s. I had not known much of Dika Doll before but I fell in love with him

 

To add I just got a shipping notification from AC saying my Jackie shipped so all in all that took just under 3 weeks to ship! DikaDoll is FAST.

I bought him blank this time. I do really like his company faceup though. I am curious to how he will be in person!! I cant believe how quick it was I was expecting february lol

I forgot to add but I also bought a body from there thru AC around a week later so I am curious if that will ship soon.

Ordering through them had a six month lead time from order date though. Oof.

I ordered two dolls from Dika Doll through Clover-Singing yesterday!! Mudan in white skin with wig and faceup, and Winter Solstice in normal skin with faceup! I’m so glad to see that someone else in this thread ordered a Mudan too, she’s the cutest little thing!!!

Just received another shipping notification from Alice’s saying the body I ordered on 12th December has shipped. Less than a months waiting again.

Meanwhile my Jackie is stuck in transit fingers crossed he arrives soon.

My update to this thread is a little less speedy it seems....
I ordered through Dolk, and it's been quite well over the estimated wait time. At this point I've been checking in with Dolk about 1x per month, to be told a few times that they'll speak with the company and return with an ETA.

I finally worded my 3rd or 4th check in a bit differently (like, "Hi, people keep saying they'll provide an ETA but they haven't for about 3 months worth of communications..") .. and now they say 3-4 more weeks.

So yeah for people's FYI, for this instance of ordering through Dolk, it looks like my DikaDoll order in this case is well over 4 months longer than the ETA on the website when I ordered (which was originally 6 months).

 

Ugh. I hope they get it straightened out soon.

@Szybil Perhaps not by coincidence, I just got an email from DolkUS today, letting me know my Mudan is FINALLY ready to ship as well. That was quite the wait!

I was getting nervous as I'm planning a move in a couple months, but the good thing is that Dolk did ask me for an updated address - so, had I moved, it would have not just been automatically shipped to an old address.

 

Popping in to say that I just put in an order for 2 pairs of 1/3 boy jointed hands through Alice’s Collections yesterday. Might be just hands, but I’m still pretty hype about having more jointed ones to play with.

 

I ordered a pink skin 70 cm Aiqing and a pink skin 40cm Lan from XiaoMiaoWangdeDian in Taobao on 10/3/2021.
Dika was having a big event at that time, so I ordered them in Taobao.
The seller told me the dolls ordered in early October is being shipped out, but my dolls' heads will be sent to do the face up since I purchase the face up service from the shop.

I hope I could have them before New Year.
