I love his faceup too! Very natural yet so expressive. He seems a little sad so he officially became my "sad prince" (even if he will be a gardener, so "sad gardener " xP).
I have finally found the perfect body for matching and proportions and as soon as I get my paycheck I'll order it!

 

Suzunachi - I can definitely recommend Dollmore Model doll Male size for Dika's 70 cm dolls! They are mostly perfect fit~
Also, when choosing shoes, check if the inner lenght is from 9,5 cm - 10 cm, then they should be fine. Dikadoll 70 cm dolls can be a bit of a challenge to find clothes and shoes for.

 

Suzunachi - Sorry for the delay. Putting the jointed hands on was fairly easy for me; just pull the old hand taut, slip a chopstick or something through the elastic, and then replace the hand on the S-hook. The jointed hands are strung separately, so just be sure to hold them at the base if you need to pull on them.

I have kind of a random question...

Does anyone know the proper wig size for Dika's Molin (an SD)? I have one, and I have him in a 9-10 wig, because after conversion (from the 23 cm listed), his head was at about 9.05 inches. It fits all right and definitely stays on with the wig cap, but i'm thinking an 8-9 wig would really fit him better (his hair just seems very... big right now). However, I don't want to order a wig that's too small, and I want it to fit over a silicone wig cap. Will an 8-9 be okay, you think? I'm looking at Leeke World's wigs, by the way, if that's relevant.

Nah even my 70 cm boys wear 7-8 Is molins head really that big? maybe you should try a smaller size.

His head is definitely a little big. Even according to the company listing, his head circumference and eyes are bigger than Bai Xuan (70cm), for example. XP I don't think I'd go down to 7-8, but I'm thinking an 8-9 should be fine. I don't know why he's such a wonky size, but oh well.

I'll actually be piercing his ears tomorrow, so I'll likely take a ton of pictures. I'll send you some then. ^^ (Sorry it's like 2 am here, so no pictures now, orz). But I can say that he's even more beautiful in person than on the website. And a very unique sculpt, too; I'd highly recommend him!

Sorry, I have another question. ^^'' Can I maybe get people's opinions on Dika's normal yellow skin tone? Like, is it really yellow? Because I'm thinking about getting Bai Xuan in normal yellow as my next doll, but it looks... quite yellow in the company resin comparison shot. I want a natural-looking skin tone that's darker than the white, but I don't like the look of the pink (it's too pink for me). I just don't want him to be too lemony, and if he yellows to be even more yellow, well... that's awfully yellow. ._. Thoughts? Maybe some pics? (I did a quick search but I didn't see too many owner shots of normal yellow Dikas.) I don't really care about resin comparison, I'm just curious how people feel about it.

TKCatsby , their pink skin stays very pink only for one or two months. Then it becomes as a normal light human skin (light pink with a little bit beige). My Dikadoll Chi was prodused a year ago and this spring nobody trusted me that he has normal skintone.

 

Hmm... Okay, I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thanks, Chukcha2. I'll look up more pictures of Dikas in normal pink. Though I'm still leaning towards the normal yellow (I'm not sure why, I guess I just like that slightly tanned/Asian tone to it), so if anyone has an opinion, please share. I'm guessing that the normal yellow might mellow out to a more natural color, too, though, if that's what the pink does.

TKCatsby, if you'd like the colour of the resin to be yellow tone but not too much, I'd suggest their ivory white, since it's yellower than their paper white but not as yellow as the normal yellow. I have Molin head in ivory white:

greenery, ah, thank you. That is a nice resin color (and hooray for more Molins; that faceup is quite beautiful ). Aah, I still can't make up my mind, though. I want something that will contrast a little more with the pure white of my Elias, but now I can't decide between normal pink and normal yellow. >_> The normal pink is growing on me... I'll search for more owner photos...

 

Hello, TKCatsby, hope this pic helps a little, the body with my Vezeto from DollClans is a DikaDoll in normal yellow I just got today. I had the same doubts when ordered this body because he seem very yellow in photos, but as you can see the head I put on it is quite pale yellow too, so I took my chances, and I must say I don't regret it. DikaDoll normal yellow seems to picture very yellow, it is yellow in person but is kinda pale, and I find it really nice. I have no idea how it will yellow over time, we'll see . This is a comparison with some other resins I own (left-right): Dollshe oriental, Dollmore normal head on DollChateau normal pink, DollClans normal head on DikaDoll normal yellow, Soom normal (not the pinkish newer normal).

Helloo. I'm lurking about while my Ruber vampire is on layway. He's in normal white. I've been working on making a face chart type thing for him, so that I can figure out what kind of face up is going to look best to go with his character.

I just received Adler! He is absolutely super. I like that masculine face. In fact, I searched high and low for a boy doll that didn't look like a girl. I would see a doll and think "There's a sweet girl" and it would be a boy. Not with that Adler chin. He looks better in person in any number of wigs. So glad I finally got him. Also bought the jointed hands for him.

 

Adler is a great sculpt. I fell in love at first sight with him, he's perfect as my Marcus. I need to get in on their Winter event and order a BaiXuan to be his friend Joshua, maybe i should message MoC and ask about the event I ordered my Alder from them last year and I'd rather go through them

My Snow - Dikadoll, Xue Hua

 

I just saw a Dika doll Amanda doll and ive never liked a face soo much in my life. I really want to get her, but im new to Dika doll, never owned one before. Are they good posers? And does anyone have any pictures of her?

 

^I only have the old Dika male body and a pair of Dika MSD-bodies. So I can't give you advice on the larger female body, but the old male body is a decent poser. A bit stiffy, but OK. At least I can get them to touch their face etc.
The MSD-bodies are also pretty nifty too, although I do prefer Luts Kid Delf over them.

I ordered an Aqua head from jeeryama on eBay and, although he has a special outfit and face-up available, was not under the impression that he was limited.

Oh, I don't have him yet! And I intend to put the head on a DikaDoll girl body which I already own. But I'll be glad to post a picture when I have her all put together.

 

Thanks guys! I got an answer on another thread and forgot to subscribe to this one....but I was really just looking for a place to buy just the head (I couldn't find anyone selling them!) and was pointed to jeeryama. So I ordered!

I'm really excited. I was looking for all these specific qualities in a mold and someone suggested Aqua...it's perfect! I also went nuts and got him\her a wig too. I usually don't worry about parts until I have a doll in hand, but this was too good to pass up.

Now to start looking for bodies....

 

Sorry for the double post, but I was wondering about hybrids for DK heads. Anyone have one on a Fantasy doll body? It has the look I'm after (kinda androgynous) and I think the WSs will match. I think the DK body might be bigger though? So I don't know how it will look.

Hello, I'm having a hard time finding shoes to fit my boy. It's the width of his feet that are the trouble and unfortunately not many places list the width of their shoes. I tend to only see length. I'm looking for black boots, and am not having much luck so he's just been sitting here in little socks. Any help would be awesome, thank you~

 

Bambistark, what size is your boy? If it's an SD-sized body, then I can once again recommend Alice's Collections. I have bought knee-high black boots from them and they fit my SD Dika Doll perfectly.

And aah, the Dika thread has not been too active lately, has it? I haven't been on much myself (well, just lurking...), but I figured I'd share some Elias spam;



He's acquired a new wig (and some new body parts ) since the last time I posted a picture of him--as well as a load of new clothes--spoiled boy.

 

TKCatsby He's on the 73cm 3 part torso. I also just noticed Dollmore actually puts width on quite a few of their shoes (Thank goodness). Do you think these would fit him? x:

 

Unfortunately I think that those won't fit! >.< I've got a Xibatian and the shoes that he's got barely fit even if the inner width is 3,5cm... Anyway, try to search on alice's collection or Tata's paradise, the shoes for that size are listed as Hound/Uncle or 70cm! I've got a pair of alice's collection boots that fit perfectly! :3

 

I can't speak too much for 70 cm, as I don't have one myself, but I would again say try Alice's Collections, as well--my friend has a Dika 70cm and I believe she bought him shoes on there. You can search under the 'boots' section and then just check the drop-down menu for 70 cm size. I'll ask my friend if she shops for him anywhere else.

 

Man, I got lucky with my other boy, he has hooves so he doesn't need shoes. So this is my first encounter with trying to find shoes for a doll. It's harder than I thought it would be. lol Though on the plus side, I have ordered through Alice's Collections before for other things. They're actually who I got my DikaDoll body from.

I ordered on December 18 and was warned that it would take extra time because of the Chinese New Year. But three months isn't all that bad.

 

Not bad at all! I ordered Feb 15 and I'm supposed to get it sometime in April....I was sort of expecting a delay but maybe it'll be on time! I can't wait to see yours!

 

I'm anxious to see Aqua too! I'm going on a little trip for a week. If the doll comes while I'm gone, and my daughter remembers to answer the doorbell, I should be posting pictures by late March/early April.

The wig is a Monique Gold Label Collection "Bubbles" in turquoise and she's on a DikaDoll 60cm girl body with large chest.

 

Hmmmm I've been looking at bodies for mine (which shipped today! )....I don't like the old DK boy body but the new one is nice. I really want something immature or androgynous....and I don't want to sand boobs off again (I feel like I've done that a lot :\ ). Fdoll would be ok, but I hate three piece torsos. Though I owned one for awhile and it wasn't awful, I just don't like how it looks (other than Dollstown. Best one ever). I can afford it now though, and they have the paper white I ordered from DK.

I don't know!!! I really don't need a body for right away, but I don't know what to do with him if he's bodiless....

 

Yeah, I used to wonder what the floating head thing was all about, but after 5+ years in the hobby I finally realized that the body is the most expensive part of the doll.
I have enough dolls now that they are never all going to be displayed or photographed at the same time, so I'm just sharing bodies. Maud is actually sharing her body with a DikaDoll Jose head and a DikaDoll Kay head.
I like the DikaDoll girl body, although I see it as a bit stylized compared to other companies. I would ideally change one of the hands to be in a different position than the other, but that's about it.

 

Hi! Does anyone have a boy with the new body 73cm V.3? my boy has the three torso parts, and I really don't like it, so I'm thinking about changing it.
If his body were normal skon color, would look for another company, but his skin is gray, so I only have that option I guess.
The new body I like, although is expensive, but I really don't much like the one he has now...and as he is a fallen angel, always has naked torso

I thought I would get a slip and have to pick him up today, but the carrier just left him! So now I wonder if it's the old carrier again....maybe she was just on vacay?

Either way, I love him to death. I need to take my time with him, so no rushed face up...but his wig looks amazing. So amazing I think I need to buy another one he can wear all the time and save this one for special occasions. Stupid Licht....I swear I feel like I am ordering from them every other day.

I gotta say, the eyes that came with are some of the weirdest I've seen....I don't have the slightest clue what they're even made from XD
He's not keeping them, I don't even know what eyes I want....something pale would probably be best....
