Soumeki: I love your shall! I have a shall head myself but I'm afriad I haven't done anything to it yet. ;A; poor guy needs a faceup and a body.

 

I love Dika's new 73 body, I want to get it from my Xue Hua head, I wasn't very excited with the other bodies, but the new one looks nice for sure.

 

I want the 56 body for Nene *drool*

 

Sharing my Shall named Kaname.
I went a little overboard with his faceup (first time doing freckles)
But it turned out better than I thought haha

 

For the event, does anybody know if you have to buy a head AND body to get the free jointed hands, or can you just buy a body to get them?

As of yesterday, I am now a proud DikaDoll owner. My DikaDoll Kay in Normal White on a 73 cm body is complete.



I named him Jossian. I fell so deeply in love with this sculpt from the first look. Does anyone else have a Kay?

 

I wish! I just received a Dika headstand for a floating head at home (not Dika) and while the headstand is beautiful, as was to be expected the Souldoll head would have to be heavily blushed to match. Probably Dika yellow might have been the better match for old Souldoll normal skin. I'm super happy though with the quality of the headstand. Hello! I'm very interested in Autumn. I just spent all my BJD savings on a new girl, so it may be a long time before I can bring one home for myself, but I would love love love any pictures you guys have of him!

Also what clothes fit these guys? After buying a 65cm doll I told myself I would never buy a "hard to find clothes for" doll again. Do regular clothes made for 70cm fit?

EDIT: I'm also really liking Carlos atm. Any pics of him? But again the size worries me.

Helloo! So, I am buying a secondhand Volks head and looking for a body to put her on. I like the aesthetic of DikaDoll's 57cm girl body. I was wondering if anyone here had experience with it or could tell me what you think of DikaDoll in general? I'm really looking for a body that has good posing & is easy to pose; is DikaDoll like that? thanks very much!!

 

Has anybody a review of the new 68cm boy body? In fact, has anybody bought Chijin on this body?
There is a promotion on Alice's Collections: from the 10th January 2016 to the 15th February 2016, if you choose Chijin, you can choose item(s) that equal 5% of the doll's cost as a gift. Has anybody jumped on the band wagon?

 

Do you have a Chijin on a 68cm body?
How does the body pose? Do you have pictures of it kneeling, standing straight & facing the camera, of elbows in a bent position, etc.?
I'd rather see the body without blushing as well as it is easier to see its shape.

Hi! Anyone have Summer? Long time I really like him, but I want to see him in real life! But all I found its just few pics in not good quality(

 

Unfortunately Dikadolls are really hard to find reference for. I spent weeks looking for non-company photos of Shall and it was so hard. Have you tried Weibo and other chinese sites? That's where I found the scarce few photos of Shall.

 

Unfortunally I don't understand a thing on chinese sites T_T Well, thank you! I'll try smth) I suppose the best thing will be just buy the head XD

 

I got REALLY LUCKY and just searching "shall" somehow worked on weibo. LOL. Summer is a beautiful head, though. I doubt you'll be disappointed! I feel Dikadoll company photos are pretty accurate, at least Shall was. xD

Yes! I discovered him long time ago. After I found him I had a lot of dolls, but Summer still take part of my mind. Everytime I see promos I want him X) But I dont know what to do, if I buy head separetelly and decide that I like him I will need to buy body, but I want free joint hands, that Dikadoll give as giftXD So few years I spend like "what to do, what to do???" XD

After MUCH SEARCHING and brushing up on my (very) rusty Chinese, I found some photos of Summer! Here is a box opening of a Summer and an Autumn head. The two heads are VERY similar, and I had to refer back to offical photos like 5 times, but I believe the head on our right is Summer (the one with slightly narrower eyes). The other is an Autumn.

Here is another Summer box opening.

And uh, I THINK this is also a Summer? Hard to tell with such drastically different faceup and outfit. @_@

I also found the taobao listing for Summer, where there are actually photos of him blank (GASP)!

I have NEVER posted photos of my Shall anywhere, as I...still haven't given 'em a face...but considering how hard it is to find blank photos of these heads, maybe someone will appreciate my poor, neglected Shall. LOL.

I just saw the pictures of the new Senior doll Qisu, and he looks so serene. I think the hands on the dikadoll senior body look a tad bit to big for his delicate features though.

 

He's so gorgeous! I swear if I keep finding beautiful sculpts like this I'm going to have twenty floating heads and no bodies!

 

Hi! This is my DikaDoll Lola named Li Mei. She was my first doll and I've had her for five years, but recently I've given her a bit of a makeover. I'm thinking about getting her some new eyes. What size eyes do you use for your dolls? I think the listed size for the youth doll is 18mm - is that what most people wind up going for? Thanks x

 

@joannastar Your Li Mei is so cute, I love the atmosphere of her in the forest! I only have a DK Shall, who is supposed to take anywhere from 16-18mm eyes, I think. I uh, ignore that and put 14mm eyes in her. LOL. I really like the size of the eyes she has in that photo though!

 

Thank you! That's actually my front garden, kind of funny taking photos with the neighbours watching! I got those eyes five years ago and I don't remember where they came from or what size they are I guess I could try measuring them XD

 

With DikaDoll Shall, does anyone know what 14 mm eyes would look like in him? I know they say to do 16 mm but the iris/pupil always seems a bit large in him, and someone has these gorgeous 14 mms I saw that I'd really love to get for him, but I don't want to waste $20+ if they wont fit/look terrifying.

 

@Arekya : Shall with 14mm eyes. imo 16mm eyes are way too big for him.

Anybody have any recommendations for who can make clothes for the 56cm girl body? I'm having a heck of a hard time commissioning somebody to help me dress poor Nene.

 

I just snagged an in-stock BaiXuan head on Dolls Singing in the resin tone I wanted So excited! I'm putting him on my Dollstown 18yr body, the neck is a little bigger than Dika's 70cm boy body so I might have to mod it a little, but hopefully it'll work!

 

Congrats @Chibi Kitsune I can't wait to see him! I've heard nothing but good things about the dollstown bodies.

Bai Xuan is here, buuuuut... it's the vampire version, which was not mentioned anywhere on Jeeryama's ebay listing. It's not a huge deal to me, he's going to be a cat demon so fangs are okay, but I'm a little annoyed all the same. He also has a piece of velcro tape stuck to his forehead, is that standard for Dika? It left a sticky residue when I pulled it off

 

All Dika's flaws are standard for this company. My girl arrived to me without elf ears. It wasn't essential for me, but I was a little annoyed too(( Also she was higher 2 cm above and... excuse me... she was fat like a cow Т_Т So I have some issues with the selection of clothes and shoes for her((
Don't worry about the stickiness, it's easy to remove by alcohol.
Nevertheless, DK should be more responsible company... =___=

 

Hi, I'm still new around here, and asking about a lot of different of dolls. I'm wondering about the version 1 and version 2 43cm girl bodies from Dika. Opinions on the good or not-so-good aspects of the versions? I'm considering a Peony Lion. Thanks for your help!

 

well, I used to have the 1st version (the plumpier one ) and I liked it a lot It seems to me, from the ompany photos that the second version has the very same feet and hands, only the rest of the body slimmed down. Idk how it affects e.g. their posability, but that of my old dika body was AWESOME. It felt volksy in its plumpiness, but it posed like gold. The new one - no offence - seems a little too slim and tiny for thier rather large heads.... imho Hope it helps?

Hello I'm joining here cause I ordered a dk aqua and wondering if anyone here has one it's hard to find pictures of him ^ ^

 

Does anyone with more knowledge about Dikadoll know where I could see blank photos of Floyer? (Artist website?)

Shots of him remind me strangely of Alan Rickman, and it looks like there might be a dreaming head as well.

 

He literally just was released the other day, so no one is going to have pictures if dikadoll hasn't provided them. You can try emailing dika doll and asking for blank photos. That's your best bet.

I hoped for an artist's webpage or something. I thought I found one with a quick google search, but it's hard when you can't read the language.

I was hoping a veteran Dikadoll owner might know if one existed or not!

 

@americanseamstress I've yet to ever see one. Dikadoll has an instagram account, Dikadoll (@dika_doll) • Instagram photos and videos, but that's the only thing I've ever found. There's the Floyer Light version and Dark version. Light looks like his eyes are more closed, but that may just be the positioning of the eyelashes.

I wanted a blank photo to determine if the details in the faceup (particularly the sculpting of the eyes) are all paint, or actually sculpted into the head. (And the lips of the faceup are concerning--I need to determine if they're actually shaped in the way I think, or it's the faceup.) The promotional photos were enough to get my interest, but not enough to actually buy the head. (It was the sword that drew me initially, because I've been looking into making or painting an existing one for another doll.)

I have admired the company for a while, however--I do love a company that offers a variety of resin colors!

I like to try to get the answer to my questions through alternative means before contacting the company because the answer usually is somewhere--but perhaps not in this instance. (And I know what it's like to put tons of effort into presenting something, and then have someone overlook or miss your hard work!)

I've tried looking at all the BJD websites and known DikaDoll dealers for more pictures, but I can't find blank photos. I was hoping the difficulty was because I only had access to the internet via mobile. I suppose I will need to contact DikaDoll.

 

Hi! I was wondering if some of you could clarify the current resin colors. I usually like a normal-yellow, as it's usually a skin tone with a slight peach undertone, but the normal yellow in the Dikadoll pic just looks like a very yellow tone. The normal pink looks like a pinkish-white (which might be easier to hybridize - depending on how it ages?).

Anyone order a recent normal yellow, or have a normal pink from about a year ago? (I want to order a head, but the character needs a shorter, stockier body than DDoll has.)
