DIKA Doll discussion

Congrats, I look forward to seeing what you do with him, VampireAngel​. DikaDoll includes those same eyes with every doll. I prefer more natural-looking ones myself.

 

Ohhh I'm excited~ I wanted a more mature, intelligent looking sculpt for a scholar type character and Adler's face just fit the bill. I had liked the sculpt far before I made plans for this character, but I never connected the dots! I went from planning for an Iplehouse Theo to a Soom Dover, but I just recently saw his face and realized he would be perfect. Good news for my wallet. =u=
I'm wanting to hybrid his head onto a broad shouldered body, and I seem to be fixated on owning a Dollstown 18yr boy body one way or another. XD Would Dika's normal yellow match any of dollstown/dollshe's resin colors?

 

Dika Dolls are not my favorite ones!

Hello everyone - does anyone have any good tips on eyes for youth boy dolls? This is probably here somewhere but 28 pages is too much for me to surf. I had some 16mm eyes but they were too big and now I have some 14mm one in my boy but I'm having eye gap problems. Is there any way to remedy this or does anyone else have this problem?

 

Does anyone have photos of the new 70cm MoXia? I can't seem to find any owner pics.

I would suggest you use 12mm eyes they work the best in my 70cm boys I can only suggest though I don't have any of the smaller SD's from Dika ! I wish you luck on your eye quest!

I tried there but didn't see any photos of MoXia. There was a lot of Autumn though.

^3^ Your Adler is very handsome! Adler is one of my favorite sculpts of all time - It is not often that you see such masculine features on a BJD.

New to this thread..Just purchased a 2011 Dikadoll male body and was trying to find pants that fit him and having no luck. His legs are long but his waist is very small. My EID pants would have to be hipster type and even then they are very big. I have a couple of pants I ordered for Dragon Doll (no longer have) but they are also far too big around the waist. 72cm doll..any idea about clothes for this body? Thanks for any help anyone can give..Jo

 

Has anyone by chance ordered the ver 4. 62cm boy body? I'd like to see owner photos before I decide to buy it, and I would really appreciate the help.

My Dika doll boys wear 70cm pants - same size as my Ringdoll, Souldoll & Angell Studio 70cm boys in fact. The shoes have to be a bit on the big side I've found. EID boys are much heftier even tho they are also 70cm - & SID pants are too short & also too big around the waist LOL.

Here's a little more spam of Theo! Even though I feel my Adler has a more gentle and peaceful look, I would be really interested to see a rough and tough looking Adler. I bet he could pull it off so well.

It's a shame that there doesn't seem to be many Dika Finn owners out there I am 100000% in love with the Finn sculpt and he is currently third on my dolly wishlist! I would love to see more owner pictures of him, but I can't seem to find any! Still, I hope to get my Finn sometime around May next year!

Though DikaDoll bodies aren't all to my taste, I am completely enamored by their jointed hands. Does anyone know if/ when they may ever release them for sale again?

I really like Zura because I am looking for a smiley asian looking large male SD. But for some reason I am really attracted to Autumn even though he doesn't fit at all the character I had in mind, he is just so handsome lol. Argh.

They are commissioned faceups. Neither are company face ups. I didn't like it. They look very flat. But thats my opinion. Some of the more recent face ups are nicer.

Does somebody know whether the head from Spiritdoll is dubbing the cm the Dikadoll 73 body? If heads from this company don't fit perhaps somebody knows other heads from other companies which they are dubbing this body?

Hi I came here to share a picture of my Dikadoll Shall that just came a couple of weeks ago I did his own face up though I hope I did not fail his face up since this is my first time doing face up on a doll instead of a practice head *^*



I bought the version 3 body and I have not regretted it, I am very impressed with dikadoll's version 3 body, they are really great, beautiful and poses really nicely.

 

I have a load of questions, since I was la-di-da'ing around the web today and found a fellow named MoXia - who looks a lot like an favorite old, old kung-fu movie star, Alexander FuSheng. I'm drooling.

I see the 3-part body above. There's a 5-part also? And now another v.3. But it's the 68cm body I really like, even if the neck is .5cm larger. Does anyone have the 5-part or the 68cm body?

The colors - On the site, the pink looks very pink - does it stay that way very long? A lot of their catalog photos look more like a pale peachy tone. The N-Y looks more like a yellowed white, no warmer tones in it. (Oh that grey...I have an old Angelsdoll Dan head in grey that needs a body....)

MinOnCard is no longer a dealer for them. Their site only lists Jeeryama as a dealer. Where is Alice's Collections located? They seem to have an up-to-date roster of Dikadolls. (oooh, and Dikadoll seems to sell most of their heads separately too -- I do love the Ming head....

Alice Collectons is in Hong Kong and I have been buying from her for years. She is very reliable, will check with you if there is any problem or if an order is delayed. She will also make an effort to get you something you have seen on the Dika site but that she is not showing. I have always been pleased with Alice.

I just ordered my body from Dika and it is not very pink - good match to the Iplehouse heads now. I tried to match the Dika to my old IH and that head has yellowed. If this body were 70cm instead of 72cm - I would be ordering more as it is the best posing body I have. Also, the hands and feet have wonderful detail which you often do not get in male bodies. Now, I trying to decide if I order a shorter doll from them and change legs if I could make this body work.

Soumeki - Your boy is lovely and you did a wonderful job on the face-up. The sweater looks great too.

 

I will add more praise to Alice Collection because she is just very reliable, I am new to the hobby but as far as I can tell from buying through her a couple of times, she has excellent service and will gladly provide mostly anything that we want to ask/see

I am so happy with the New Male body from Dika Doll, My Xue Hue has been going from body to body because I haven't find one that I actually like for him, currently he is in a IH female body looking beyond feminine.

I'd been wanting to get rid of this head, since it matches none of my bodies. Today, I popped out the cheap acrylics, and put in better eyes and a wig.

Sure thing. They're Mumubjd eyes in this type, regular 14mm. Just a word of warning, their 50+ yuan eyes are great quality, but these 20-30 yuan ones have hit or miss quality control. This pair was really wonky, but it doesn't show since only 1/3 the eye is visible. The color is lovely, though.
