Specific Doll Dika Doll 71cm D32 body (paired with Chengxun)

Feb 6, 2020

    1. I have a new arrival, so I figured I'd post a series of posing reference photos for Dika Doll's D32 / 71cm body. Outside of product photos, I didn't see much about this body prior to having him in hand, so these are for all you folks. :) I asked if I could order Chengxun's head on this body in their normal white resin and Christina at Clover Singing asked Dika who confirmed this was possible. I imagined the body would be a bit 'buff' for the character I have in mind, but I'm very fond of it nonetheless, and Chengxun may swap with one of my future boys who's more likely to suit these muscles.

      Onwards (nude unpainted doll)~

Sitting flat - this is very likely his weakest pose. The shape of his legs bump his feet up in the air. Engaging his knee joints doesn't help. So, a flat sitter he is not, but he's capable of lots of other things~

Sitting normally - he does this just fine. His legs can come in closer, also, depending on how you set his knees.

      Same pose from the front.

Standing - also very good. He's able to stand on flat surfaces and somewhat textured surfaces (there's a towel under him in these photos). Carpet is more challenging, but he managed it with some fiddling earlier. I wouldn't recommend leaving him unattended though.

I wanted to see if he could sit on his legs. The answer is 'not quite' but, close? His feet are very sturdy and easily supported him in this pose. (They don't turn side to side easily, if much at all.)

Leaning back - again, mostly supported by his sturdy feet. He has a bump joint under his chest, and groove joints in his waist. Both work well.

This is not an especially natural pose, as his hip is drawn out from its seat, but he managed to hold the position nonetheless.

Fetal position - another almost but not quite. I think he'll do 'lounging in bed' very well, however.

Forward (holds this unassisted, I was impressed)

      And back (also unassisted)~

Cross-legged, a natural pose for him. The mobility joints on his upper legs have groves to turn his legs in any direction, they're fantastic.

Lounging - fantastic. I love this pose.

      With a chair (great)

      And another chair pose.

Overall, I'm thrilled. He has a great range, so even if I swap this body with another of my resin folk (when he makes his way home), I'll be very pleased. The mobility joints on his upper legs, sturdy waist joint, and functional chest joint are excellent. His arms pose well also, and he arrived quite tightly strung (in a good way), so his joints are all snug and require a little effort to set in different positions. No kickiness to speak of.

Points of concern: his elbow peanuts have little ridges that must be pulled and then pushed in to work, otherwise they might chip. Easy enough to remember to do. Hip sockets are very smooth, could've used a bit of ridge jointing there, but I'm also not unhappy with them.

Points of happiness: everything, haha. I'm so excited he's here, this is a nicely designed body.
