Soooo, who else here ordered one of the adorable puppy girls, Ponta, Rena, and Saki, by Digidolls? :D
I was intrigued the first time I saw the printed pink prototype, and once I laid eyes upon Rena's adorable blep I was fully smitten and just had to bring one home!
Ordered my Rena in brown skin and just paid her layaway off yesterday! Her wig and eyes are also on their way and I can't wait to see how everything goes together~

What are your plans for your doggos? :aheartbea

    2. They're darling! This is the first I've heard of them so I missed them.

    3. Wow, what a unique sculpt. I really love the body build. Definitely stands out, and it appeals to me more than the standard shapes you see elsewhere. Such dynamic shapes look fun to pose with! Gonna have to keep an eye on these.

Be sure to share lots of pictures once you get your pup!

    4. I hope this is okay to bring back to life o3o I'm getting a secondhand Ponta sometime next month or late this month! I sadly have not seen the puppy girls floating around anywhere and I hope that will change! They are too precious to not post about!

    5. Like Swifty, I hope it’s okay if I bring this thread back to life haha (I really hope it gets more active! These pups deserve more love). I just placed an order for the current preorder of puppy girls! I’m getting a lilac Ponta.

I have a question though. On the website, it says these pups take 18-20mm eyes. I have a pair of 16mm eyes with 18mm irises that I would like to use in my girl. Does anyone know if 16mm eyes could work? Or would they be too gappy?

    6. I'm excited about this second preorder! I ordered Ponta and Rena in brown and cream skin 'cause I couldn't decide :D Preorder ends august 15th I believe!

Anyone else was lucky to get one?

    8. My pink Rena just arrived today! Anyone else have one that has trouble with the magnets? Her ears won’t attach over a wig. :(

    9. Cirice, my lilac Ponta arrived today! :love

I, too, had issues with the weak magnets in her ears and tail. I've seen a lot of other people having the same issue with their new pups as well. Luckily, I have a trove of excess magnets and just added them to her existing magnets to strengthen them. Now her tail attaches over her clothes with no problem! (Her ears are still a bit finicky but then again, her wig is suuuper thick and poofy).

Anywho, I'm super happy with her! Her sculpting is adorable and her purple color is even prettier in real life! Hope to see other pups here soon!

    10. She’s beautiful! :D

Do you know what size the magnets are that you added to her? That is a great idea to add magnets for extra strength. I’ve never purchased magnets for Bjd’s before though so I wouldn’t even know where to start.

    11. Thanks! I thiiink they’re about 1/4” in diameter (the same size as the magnets already embedded in the ears and tail) and they’re about 3mm thick. The ones I have are pretty strong and were ordered from Amazon.

    12. Thanks!:)

    13. Cirice is back with a face-up!

Her other wig was too poofy for my tastes, so I've got a new wig ordered for her. I think these girls rock the bald look, anyway. I've hot glue-sueded all her joints and she poses like a dream now! I'm just over the moon with her~

I'm still hoping to see other puppy girls. I haven't seen many other lilac pups, haha.

    14. She's adorable! I love her faceup and her outfit. :)

I ordered magnets and doubled up on all her magnets. It's made them much better! She can actually wear a wig now!

    16. Has anyone tried to fix magnets that where put on the wrong way? My peace hands repeal away from her but my other 2 sets of hands are fine. Digidolls sent me a suggestion to try freezing and getting out with a knife but I am kinda nervous to try that.

    17. She looks pretty. I also have lilac but I haven't done to much with my girl yet besides a wig, temp eyes and a cute skirt.
I totally agree about these girls being cute even bald.

    18. She's so cute. I love the outfit.

    19. My zodiac girl have a very weak magnets too, if I would know I would just add stronger ones, but now they are glued so it's done. Ears doesn't want to stay with wig on.

      Lovely pup girls!

    20. What I did with the weak magnets was I bought some on Amazon and added them on top of the existing magnets. They’re much stronger now.

I haven’t tried fixing the hand magnets yet. I have both extra hands and they’re all unusable. I’m also nervous about freezing them.

    21. I think digi dolls posted on Instagram saying that caster will send free replacements for people who contact her.
Finally made a wig for my girl that I like

    22. @forged_in_mess is correct. She posted it in her stories so the message is gone now but just contact digidolls and tell her which of your hands need replacing.

@forged_in_mess your wig came our so pretty. You did a great job.

    23. I contacted DigiDolls about the hands immediately when I received my doll. Now it’s just the waiting game.

    24. I would reach out to her again to confirm she has you in her list. Enough of us reached out to her that this is an issue so I wouldn't want you to get lost in her messages.

    25. No faceup yet but she does have a cute outfit that I made her.

    27. Wow, she looks really cute :D

I finally painted face on my bunny, hope you don't mind some spam.

    28. @slight Thank you. I saw the wig and had to get it for her. I am happy it matched so well. :kitty2

@forged_in_mess Thank you. Your bunny girl looks so cute. :XD: She looks so sweet.

    30. @juumou She is cute. I love the color of her socks. I can't wait to see all of our girls completed.

I haven't done a faceup where I need to be consistent across heads. It will be a new challenge.

    31. For anyone having issues with their spare hands, I've got an update of sorts.

I tried that freezer technique I read about. I left the hands in the freezer for a few hours. Once I removed them, I tried a few ways to pull them out. I even took a knife with the smallest blade to try to get in between the resin and the magnet. I went so far as to carefully carve along the magnet.

It doesn't work. Super glue isn't intended to weaken when cold. It's designed to survive the elements and this super glue does it's job. There is no way to remove that magnet.

The next thing I tried was to put in some eye putty in the hand. I wondered if the putty would hold a new magnet or if the opposing magnetization would be too strong.

That doesn't work either. Even with a new magnet puttied into the hand, the opposition still pops the hand off of the wrist.

There is no way to fix this. We just have to wait on the manufacturer to replace them. :(

    32. I tried freezer + exacto knife too, no luck.
Today I tried hot gluing the hands onto the ball joints but they popped right off too :(
However! I hot glue sueded my girls' joints and they hold poses like a DREAM :aheartbea no more crazy arms! lol

    33. Oh I may have to try this for the arms as well. Is it hard to do this? I have seen some videos online on how but I have never done it so I don't know if it's really easy as just smearing some glue in there.

    34. It really is as easy as smearing some hot glue in there XD I use the flat edge of tweezers to smear flat a bead of hot glue on half a joint, blow to dry, move elastic and do the other half. I don't unstring to hot glue suede.
These girls resin is so super smooth that sometimes the hot glue sueding just peeled right off. And I'm noticing it during handling too. So I'm not sure how well it will hold. But there is no more snapping of the arms and the torso can lean forward way more!

    35. To be honest I am not a fan of single joints design on zodiac girl. She is super cute, but it is very hard to pose her in more than two, three poses. Joints don't lock almost at all, any type of middle way isn't possible. I added hot glue. Didn't do much. But wiring really helped a lot. I feel huge difference. But still doll won't even sit on the chair and there is no option to make her head tilt up or down ( there should be option to make he look down, but lock doesn't work, and head snaps back to normal position straight away).

Now I am very scared to buy any dolls that have single jointing in knees or in elbows, so all my next dolls ordered are double jointed. At first I was quite happy, when she was just standing but any other pose is just not working. She is a definite piece that stands on the shelf instead of picture purposes :(

But wiring makes a huge difference. On those photos arms literally hold purely on wiring

    36. Maybe try kips (little silicone discs) inside the head under the s-hook, and inbetween the head and neck? I had a super bobbly tiny (Sio2 sheep bleater) and it helped a little bit.
I've had larger dolls with single joints in arms, and pose no problem, but that's just personal preference :)

    37. I may take her apart and blush her. If I do that, it might help give the hot glue something to hold onto.
