Differences Rainman Soah and Volks SD13 girl

    1. Well I am trying AGAIN. For the life of me I cannot get the search engine to work. I put in the most basic perimeters in the order of importance . . . in this case: measurements Soah. And I get umpteen responses and NONE of it provides me with the info I needed.

      So then off I go to the helpful seamstresses section (?) and read the stickies of all the measurement links. Not ONE is for Soah. So I put in a request and NOTHING I get nothing for help of any sort.

      So I will try this AGAIN here. *begs*

      I would like the body measurements of Soah and the body measurements of Volks size SD13 girls. ***And some nude photo comparisons preferably between these two. ANY help would be very APPRECIATED. Thanks in advance!! :oops:

      Which Soah bust do you have? That's the only diff between Ryung and Soah - so if you chose the Soah with the big bust plate, that's like my Ryung Iliana.

      Here's Iliana the Amazon with my other girls, among them a sd13 girl with medium bust...

      I hope this helps...

      Iliana really is my amazon. She's very tall, and long-waisted, compared to my other dolls. A lot of that height COMES from her waist, not that her legs are longer.

      Thank you so much for coming to my rescue here. I had noticed that thread in the seamstress sewing section but got tripped up by seeing only Ryung's name. I had seen nude photos of Soah and Ryung before and had read that they were different in size so I did not follow the links. But yes, this helps very very much. And thanks for the photos too Sher . . . such lovely girls. And my Soah is a small breasted girl . . . not the large one.

      Really appreciate the help you two are the BEST!! :wink:

      PS - where do you find clothes to fit these Rainman dolls - Soah and Ryung. I am finding their hips are too wide for most outfits designed for SD13 girls. Suggestions please?

    5. Oh you got the smaller bust... I wasn't much help then, I'm sorry!

      I'm doing okay with Iliana. If something is very fitted, as you know, it won't fit her. I have some brown luts BOY cargos that fit her well - a little long, but that's kind of a neat look anyway; and a pair of boy pants by Azone that fit her REALLY well. Other than that, I troll around on various boards looking for people who have a ryung who post things for sale. I love her so much, she's worth the effort...

    6. Well I've been frustrated with Soah's wide hips. You would think that a pleated skirt made for a SD13 girl would work? But no it does not. Her wider hips causes the skirt to ride up looking shorter than it is suppose to be. *sighs* And I so love pleated skirts. They are some of my favorite looks . . . heh . . . maybe because I love to wear them alot. :grin:

    8. You might want to look at our group. We are an exclusive place for the Rainy dolls. Lots of people making clothes for these dolls post notice of their auctions there and some offer them first to the group before putting them elsewhere.

      As you noticed, the SD13 outfits don't fit unless they are things that are loose in design. We constantly address what outfits and especially shoes fit these dolls. We even have a complete file area with pictures of shoes from various places on their feet and comments on the fit.

      The good new is that there are so many things that fit these dolls now that weren't available as little as three months ago. And things keep getting better.
