BJDs and photography go hand in hand. Everyone takes pictures of their dolls, but does anyone actually get the photos developed? Do you develop photos of your doll? Why, or why not? If you do, where do you keep the photos? In frames, or in a photo album? Discuss!
I don't develop or print them. I keep them in private Photobucket albums. They're really not interesting to anyone but me and other doll people, so I only share them online.
Hm I suppose there's a reason in what linakauno is saying, if I'm sharing then I'm sharing with an online community which is actually interesting in viewing my pictures.
Since I just take them for use on the net, I go digital. I like to use my film SLR if I want to have prints of something, but I don't really want or need hard copies of the doll pics. I don't think I've taken anything that good to warrant film development and prints made -- well maybe if I had a darkroom -- I used to love working in the darkroom back in college, but alas, that's not really an option for me right now.
Same here. I only keep digital copies, but that's mostly because my photos aren't good enough to develop, haha! EDIT: Oops! Wrong section. Sorry, mods!
I do photography at college and use my dolls frequently in my projects, so all the images I take (wet-film and digital) get developed and I have started to stick them into my diary or include them into my written copies of my novel (that my characters are in) I don't really need to display them, because my dolls are in my room anyway . . . Perhaps when I go to University I might, because I don't think I'll bring both of them with me all the time :/ prehaps, perhaps not. But I do love developing my own black and white negatives in the dark room at college of Alexis and Nate, it's so magical to do it myself!
I'm sooorta like Rain_Cloud. I've recently decided to feature my three minis in my portfolio project at my photographic society, so in May I will actually get a book printed of my portfolio. I also had a senior math project in undergrad that I printed a picture or two of Akio. As for personal use? No. There's no need. They're around the house for me and anyone else to look at, so I don't waste money printing their pictures.
I print out my better shots and put them in a photoalbum. Currently I have three albums - one general one, one for the pictures I took while on vacation in San Fransisco with one of my dolls, and one with pictures I took of another doll while on vacation at Disney. I love having hard copies of my pictures. The idea had been to at some point take the better pictures with me in a "brag book" to meets, since I have too many dolls to take all of them to a meet. This way I can show off the ones I hadn't taken with me. (Tried doing it digitally, with the digital picture keychains, but every time I try to do one, I can never get the damn thing to work. )
