Aesthetics Detective Conan - Shinichi Kudo faceup

I've been getting deeply back into Detective Conan, one of my eternity fandoms that I've never been able to keep up with. Never caught up with the manga but I'm always trying. Anyway, I noticed that my Ringdoll JN could potentially work as a sculpt for Shinichi.
Anyway, please don't judge my work too harshly, this is my 2nd faceup after a 10-year break!

This is the sculpt. I think the eye and face shapes are pretty good! The mouth and especially nose aren't the best match, but they're close enough.

Blushing. My first attempt after the break ended up with too little, so here, I definitely overcorrected and IRL, he looks like he's running a fever or something. Maybe that's in character, though

Here's a better look at the blushing. If anyone knows why it gets this weird texture like you can see on the cheek, I'd appreciate your insight!

Eyebrows. Skill-wise it's all downhill from here, because I'm not the best at lineart.

Eye lineart and one eyebrow. As you can see, my strokes are thicc. I'm hoping to improve with practice.

I don't think the mouth was the best choice from me, that's the part that's given me the most trouble with both new faceups. I wanted to make it cartoonish to match the style of the source material. Same with the lines under the eyes. I tried going with lashes but it didn't really work so I changed the plan.

Here he is, as ready as he's getting for now. I have nothing for this doll, not even a wig because the other head I have for the body is for a bald character.

By the way, this body really doesn't like to touch its face, which is a problem for this particular character.

Thanks so much for the compliments! I'm lazy as far as sewing goes, but that doesn't mean I won't make a suit... eventually. I already put in an order for the wig, so I've committed. As for the tie, why not both? I like to see some variety.
I could even give this guy an alternative identity as Kaitou KID, if I get around to it.

I'd love to see a Heiji doll, personally! He's my fave looks-wise and may have been a teenage crush.

I have no experience styling wigs, but I feel I would be amiss not to try! It's an important identifying factor, too
