Payment Denver Doll layaway questions

Oct 6, 2008

    1. Okay, so~~ I was wondering what does "Balanced Layaway" mean... XD? There was the regular layaway option (1/3rd now, 1/3rd in 30 days and the rest at the end) and the "Pay half now, the rest when the doll arrives" layaway option and then Balanced Layaway - at least I hope I got those right...

Does Balanced Layaway work the same as the 1/3rd now, 1/3rd in 30 days and the rest in another 30 days?

Yeah XD;; I'm kinda confused, any help would be appreciated~!

    2. i can't help ya' there, but why don't you email Denverdoll, they are most helpful, and will definitely answer you.

    3. I thought of doing that~ But others might have the same question I do :o But if no one has an answer I'll end up doing just that :)

    4. I e-mailed Denver Doll (so nice!), and Balanced Layaway means deposit now (is when Denver Doll orders the doll~), and the remaining balance is due before Denver Doll ships the doll out to you.

      So basically:
You make the deposit when you place your order.
Denver Doll places the order on their end.
      Wait the said 3~4 weeks.
When the doll arrives at their location, they will send you a E-Mail and a PayPal Invoice with the balance due :)
Once PayPal Invoice is paid to Denver Doll, they ship your lovely to your arms ^^

I hope this helps some people who are wondering what it is and too scared to ask XDDDD

    5. i plan on ordering an angell studio cinderella through denver doll, and i will have to put her on layaway.
how do they do the shipping?
like, once you pay the doll of in 3-4 months (depending on which plan you use) do you still have to wait another 1-2 months for the doll to be shipped?

      thanks ^^:aheartbea

    6. they actually order the doll when you place the layaway so by the time you finish paying chances are the doll is already at dde and they will ship it right than.

    7. I think it depends on if they have the specific doll in stock or not. If not then you pay your layaway first and then they order it from the company.

      Try checking out their FAQ

    8. yes but I actually e-mailed them at dde and what they told me was as soon as you make the down payment that is when they order the doll and usually when you finish paying the doll would already be there and ready to ship too you.

    9. I have an AS Andrea on Layaway, sorta. I put a down payment on him with the option of paying him off completely when he arrives. So I believe they order them out right, then notify you when they come in.

    10. I just put a Bobobie Mei on layaway last week and they emailed me to let me know that they would be ordering her immediately and would probably have her in four to six weeks so once she was paid in full they would be shipping her.

You could always email and ask them or give them a call. The person who emailed me was very sweet and informative.

    11. Do they order the doll from the manufacturer as soon as the initial payment is made? If so, will they let me know when they have it in hand in case I want to pay my layaway off early?
      TIA!

    12. They won't order it immediately, unless you really luck out as to when you place your order - they tend to place orders with manufacturers every couple of weeks or so. They're good about letting you know when your dolly has arrived though, so in that case paying it off early is quite possible. :)

    13. Well now, this isn't entirely true, I know that when I did my Souldoll Celina order (the blue-skinned LE one) they actually did order her right away, because it was at the end of the order period, so they put in an actual order for my girl at that point full-out. Unfortunately in my case Souldoll was late shipping all their Celinas out, but DDE was wonderful about keeping me in the loop about shipping status.

      .hlp

    14. They did the same thing with Souldoll's LE Leira for me as they did for heidipay. I paid her off super early but was still stuck waiting for the company to finish producing. I would imagine that you wouldn't have problems receiving your doll earlier if you paid off your layaway early though.

    15. Um . . . wouldn't it make more sense to ask these questions of Denver Doll? In my experience, they've always been really quick about answering e-mails, and answering any questions I asked. Seems like the "horse's mouth" would give you the definitive answer to a question about their own business practices. :sweat

    16. In my experience when I have a doll on preorder/layaway with DDE, if I'm still making payments when it comes in, they'll email me to let me know it's in and ask if I want to pay out early. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Either way is fine with them. :)

    17. I did email them and they did say that the dolls weren't in yet but they would let me know were in. :)

    18. They don't always email to tell you when a doll has arrived. I paid off my Rheia early and thought I'd have a while to wait yet, and got a shipping notice three hours later. ;)

    19. I'd call and ask them, I had no trouble with the layaway, but it took a long time to get my doll. I did, however have trouble getting them to respond to my emails, so I ended up calling them when I had a question. They order most dolls once or twice monthly, so you have a pretty good chance of ordering it at the right time. I'd suggest saving up the money and buying straight from the company if you can. Unless you can find the doll you want in stock, then Denverdoll is GREAT!
