Denver Doll - have dolls in stock? Or preorder?

Aug 6, 2008

    1. okay, I'm still really new to all of this, so here goes.

I just purchased my first Ball Joint doll two days ago from denver doll emporium, and yesterday I got an e-mail confirming the price and payment, (I used paypal), but there was a note saying this...

Thanks for your order! We'll get her shipped out as soon as she arrives.

When I bought her she was in stock, and when I checked my account today I noticed that my paymet was taken. I don't understand because they can't take a payment from me if they actually don't have the doll right? Has anyone gotten a message like this before and can clear this up for me because I'm really worried if I just payed someone for soemthing they don't have!! HELP!!

    2. well i can tell you it is the probably dont have her in yet and will get her soon. (Sorry Mako, I'm just gussing)

    3. um, they often take payment and then MAKE the doll - so it can take several weeks for you to receive the doll ^^;;;;;

so in this hobby, you often pay before the doll exists, that's not unusual.

    4. don't worry, as others have mentioned, you always (i wanted to say Almost always but couldn't remember one instance where this wasn't the case) have to pay and then they make the doll for you. part of the reason they're so expensive is because it's very hands on;). don't worry, your dolly will be home before you know it.

    5. She told me she ordered the doll from Denver Doll Empourim...so shouldnt they have the doll in stock?

    6. they take preorders for dolls.

    7. but I didn't see any mention that that particular doll was a pre-order... I bought the Dollzone Shoyo fullset, and it didn't really say it was... the heading of the e-mail said DZShoyo3 pre-order..but the site didn't say anything about her being a pre-order doll. Did I accidentally order a pre-order set without knowing?

    8. your best bet would be to email them, but i'm pretty sure the fullsets might be for preorder - on their site they list underneath the options what they have on hand - if there's nothing there, then all the dolls are preorder (at least i think that's what i remember it working like....)

but it could also take them a few days to ship out the order - i wouldn't worry though ^^

    9. Did you order her in white skin or one of the normal colors? The site shows they only have white skin in stock.

Why don't you e-mail them about your concerns? They are really nice there and will get back to you quickly.

    10. Best bet is to email them like everyones suggesting.

Some sales agents will have a few of the dolls in stock but for the most part they will still need to order it from the company. While ordering from a sales agent doesnt always save time the highlight of it is the cheaper shipping.

    11. How do I get their e-mail? (*points* major newb) :sweat

    12. I Bought her full payment with white skin..just like in her picture

    13. [email protected]

It's shown under the About Us! tab.

And congratulations on your new girl, she looks like a sweetie :)

    14. thanks! I'll definately e-mail them about it.

Thanks! :) It was love at first sight :D

    15. That happened to me too when I ordered my first BJD. I thought they had him in stock, but they didn't. Don't worry though, because your girl will come in good condition, even if you have to wait a while. ^_^

Forgot to mention that they said they had the doll in stock, but didn't. Like the others said, your girl is probably being made now and will be shipped out when they get her in.

    16. The thing about DDE is that things can sell out fast there and they don't always get a chance to update their website right away so they might have just been out of stock when you ordered it. I buy almost everything from DDE and I know that they are a great store. I know that if you email them they are really fast to respond but since you ordered a fullset they probably have to order her because the shoyo they have at the store is nude I think.

    17. It is sad, and frustrating, when you find you have to wait longer than planned.
The good thing is that Denver
Doll Emporium is a great company to deal with. I have bought from them in the past and they are very trust worthy!
