I've been working on this head for a while, and I feel like I'm getting close to being done. Maybe not the best time to be creating a project journal, but oh well! Next time I'll start sooner. I'm sculpting using Zbrush, with the intent to eventually have the head 3D printed, and maybe cast at some point. I'll spare you the very early stages (I didn't document those much anyway), and go straight into the thick of things. This was the point where I was starting to feel happy with the sculpt. Not everything was there yet, but he had a lot more character than my other sculpting attempts. Or well, a lot more intentional character, at least. Spoiler: Image After receiving some feedback on his proportions, I refined some more and this was the result. I also messed around and considered giving him a smirk, as well as mocking up a faceup (which I forgot to add eyebrows to). Spoiler: Images After that, the majority of what was left to do was some more smoothing, and hollowing him out. The hollowing out and headcap separating process was a bit tricky (I probably should have done it in the reverse order), but I managed to get things to work! So here he is, nearly finished. Spoiler: Images Let me know what you think!
