Congrats! I don't know when I'll be seeing mine show up. It moved pretty quickly UNTIL hitting the USA. Prior to COVID, I had ordered from Mandarake for the first time and got the doll about 10 days later. At the moment, I have a doll that's been sitting in Japan for 10 days (from YJapan), eyes that were ordered on the 1st and on the 16th were being sent back to Mandarake (on the 20th I requested my money back) and wigs that are now 32 days in transit and have been sitting in NYC for 10 of those 32 days. I'm not complaining, I'd rather people be at home verses getting sick. But it's a little nerve wrecking not knowing what's going to happen and WHEN I might see all of my stuff come through.
The rest of my orders are still in limbo, but my boy from Mandarake was delivered just after 9am. He must've been one of their first deliveries of the day. Now I can fret over my Alice's order seeing as it hasn't updated from China since the 9th.
I had multiple items shipped and they all arrived on expected date and some even arrived earlier than expected. I have heard that shipping priority is given to tracked and first class but it could just be a rumor.
I ordered a doll from Mandarake and it shipped via EMS on 4/4. It doesn't seem like it's moving at all as it's been stuck at "arrival at outward office of exchange" since 4/5. I know it will take a while to get here, just hope the doll gets here ok.
Might just be a rumor. I have 2 packages one in bound to NY and one outbound to Florida. Inbound in a doll from Maryland was sent out on the 14th with 3 day priority. When I called USPS I was told expect delivery in 3 weeks Its apparently on a truck somewhere on it's way here, but they have no clue where it is it's just not here yet
@NY_Kitty Yikes, that's not giving me any hope of seeing my boy any time soon. XD; He's not even to 'arrival at outward office of exchange' yet, just still on accepted since the 10th. @Kimmichi: Might just be New York? I mailed a doll to Florida on Monday from California and there was already a delivery attempt today. Like they straight up yeeted that box. I had a small indiscretion on Y!J a couple days ago, I don't even want to think how long that's gonna take to get here once it gets to Buyee and they're eventually able to ship it. XD
mandarake posted an update on twitter, looks like ems to the us is being suspended: MANDARAKE EARTH on Twitter
Well, RIP. >_< Status never made it past acceptance so it's probably sitting in a warehouse somewhere under a giant pile of boxes. Hope he won't get crushed to bits. >_<;;; Maybe if I'm lucky the Nakano post office still has him and will dump him back on Mandarake and I can try my luck with DHL... Otherwise I might get the Yur I ordered at the beginning of the month from Iplehouse first. XD;
i’ve got a volks kakeru from dollyteria that was accepted on the 19th and has been stuck on accepted since then. i don’t know if they do dhl, i might email them and ask in case my doll goes back to them.
According to other post offices it's not supposed to take this long at all. I hope they didn't manage to loose a doll box those boxes are huge.
My Alice's order finally updated! It was in limbo since the 9th with no updates, but today it said it was in Ontario. It should be here in just a few days.
My Granado Raquel head which stopped tracking 3/28 is in New York and is expected tomorrow!!!!! I have been so good and patient. Now I'm worried about his condition but hopeful since he is blank.
Gives me hope I just need to hold out a few more days. My delay could just be NYC with its limited workforce might just have an extremely long back log of packages to accept. This is my first package I am expecting during all this so Happy to hear so many packages are popping back up on the radar.
My DDS Sailor Moon has been stuck at acceptance since the 17th I believe packages that already got accepted will still be shipped but with up to a four month delay....I’d rather my package just get returned to the seller though and then shipped via a different method...I don’t mind waiting but I’m super worried about the package getting crushed/lost. Crossing my fingers things will be okay and everyone gets their packages safe!
Same, I think we'll be waiting a loooong time. And after seeing the announcement they made on Twitter, I wonder if everything will just be sent back now or if things will sit wherever they are until everything starts reopening. I also saw this on their website: Mandarake - Inquiries and General Contact
I'm lolling pretty hard at the post right now - the massive reduction in international flights is what is going to be the biggest hurdle. before you ship or purchase check the updated times on the relevant postal pages. I have a parcel coming from Denver Doll - mailed on the 13th and its done the following: In Transit to Next Facility April 27, 2020, 12:00 AM Departed USPS Regional Facility April 23, 2020, 12:06 AM, LOUISVILLE KY DISTRIBUTION CENTER Arrived at USPS Regional Facility April 22, 2020, 11:46 PM, LOUISVILLE KY DISTRIBUTION CENTER Arrived at USPS Regional Facility April 21, 2020, 02:37 PM, CINCINNATI OH NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER Arrived at USPS Regional Facility April 16, 2020, 08:31 AM, SAN FRANCISCO CA NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER Arrived at USPS Regional Facility April 13, 2020, 10:10 PM, DENVER CO NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER Accepted at USPS Origin Facility April 13, 2020, 08:55 PM, ENGLEWOOD, CO 80112 Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending April 13, 2020, 02:15 PM, ENGLEWOOD, CO 80112 I mean - its supposed to be coming to Australia but is currently getting further away Patience will be a virtue methinks... saying that Aurelien from Depths Dolls sent me my Draugr and it arrived in 10 days via express courier with no customs hold up so not that bad really...
i have a head I’ve been sent to make up from Japan to Malaysia more then 2 weeks ago, and NO tracking at all. it’s like just accepted at post office without moving. I thought that they even didn’t send it out and came to post office to get my package back, but they didn’t give it back to me. Seems like it’s already sent out but no tracking, so now my poor head in the middle of nowhere Japanese post just don’t show information and don’t say anything, only“it will take a while, we don’t know where is your post now, we cannot trace it”. and I have 4 incoming packages without any news around month 〜 To say I’m anxious it’s like to say nothing..
Yeah I'm trying not to worry about my Evan, there's more important things in the world right now, but it's hard not to on day 19 with no updates. On the other hand, can confirm DHL being working - I had a package sent to me from Buyee and it took literally 37 hours from the shipping notice to delivery and arrived an entire day ahead of the estimate. Pretty sure that's the fastest I've ever gotten a package from Japan.
@Ian-KunX sure, there are really more important things now all other the world. Just hope that everything will come to end as soon as possible. Thanks for DHL updates, I heard it’s starts work normally again. But EMS is like abyss now, really ...
I waited for a head from Granado in China. It was shipped 3/28 before the first EMS delay announcement. It was stuck in Shanghai but suddenly on 4/23, it miraculously arrived in New York and I had it in my hands on 4/25 in perfect shape. Last night an outfit from Angell Studio in China suddenly had tracking. It was shipped 4/6 and it still hasn't left China but I have had 2 tracking notices. So I am encouraged. What I can say is, the packages will eventually come. Waiting has stages: denial that this is reality, anger, depression and anxiety, acceptance (I did home repairs yesterday and didn't check till late last night). Just like death, not much fun. But they are slowly coming!
Looks like some people have issues with Japan EMS too. Bought a doll off of an auction and it’s been in posting/collection limbo for two weeks. It looks like they’re moving things without updating? Why, Japan EMS??? (´༎ຶོー༎ຶོ`) Slightly regretting not sending by DHL...
I'm now sitting on day 14 since my doll was shipped China EMS, and he hasn't moved at all in 13 days from "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" in Nanjing. I wish I at least knew whether that meant he was waiting to board a plane in China, or waiting to get scanned in US, not that it really would make much difference. Maybe he'll just show up at my doorstep unexpectedly...in a month or so. I know it's just a doll and there are so many more important things going on, but that's just it--I have some very serious, very depressing things going on right now, this doll would have been something positive to help me, and he's just adding to the stress. On another note, my Tata's Paradise order just shipped, and they said they were sending it via FedEx because it's much faster and more reliable than regular mail right now.
@CloakedSchemer if you search using ChinaEMS's site (I like track-trace to get to the right options), you can get a better look at where it actually is. USPS will usually sit at "Origin post is preparing shipment" until the package is cleared through customs and about halfway from there to you. (Conversely, once the package hits the US and goes into customs, the origin post tracking kind of falls off... they just aren't very well integrated together.)
Thank you. I tried track-trace and for some reason, they can't seem to find the package at all. I tried 17track, and it does show one update on the 22nd "Shanghai, delivered to air transport", so I'm guessing that means he did board a plane but hasn't been scanned into US customs yet?
My doll body from Angelsdoll was shipped on the 13th via EMS and it's finally out for delivery today~ It was stuck in Korea for 2 weeks before finally reaching NY.
Hi, I’m new to bjd collecting and made my first order from Alice’s Collections in january 14th, it was shipped march 2nd and since march 7th there’s no update. I’m really worried. Even knowing about the delays, it has been 2 months with no information. I live in Brazil and it was shipped by airmail. Already contacted them early last month and they told to wait but I don’t know how much more time I will have to wait
I'm in the same boat. My item from Alice was shipped 3/25, the only update now is on 3/27 that Origin Post is Preparing Shipment. It's also shipped via airmail. I'm gonna wait another 2 weeks. IDK if Alice will give refund tho.
Granado told me that once it's in EMS's hands there is nothing they can do. I have another order from China that suddenly arrived in the US after a month wait at the airport. I think these delays are about air travel and will eventually all arrive. Japan says a 4 month wait. Maybe they are the only ones being honest now.
My 2 packages that have been waiting in Seoul since 4/10 and 4/14 were just scanned as “Received by air carrier” today. I am relieved and excited that they’ll be here soon.
Just had a China EMS package show up as "returned, security check" but I'm not sure if that's on China side or US side. So far it hasn't reached the USPS updater besides "preparing shipment" (packages24 is the only site letting me see updates tho). I reached out to MSireDoll (had ordered one of her wigs directly during her January twitter special) so we'll see. They were understandably delayed, but since then this is the second tracking number I've had for it, so I think there's just trouble going on getting it out.
Kind of annoyed right now. Customs sent my doll back to AC after being stuck in limbo just a couple provinces away.
That's awful! AC can send it again DHL if that makes any difference in customs (outside my experience in US though).
Coming to add some positive news! My doll was shipped from Alice to me (in US) via EMS China on April 16 and didn't update from "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" until April 22 and then....nothing for a couple of weeks. A couple of days ago he showed up in NYC, then nothing for a couple of days until he was at the local distribution center yesterday. Today, my boy showed up! So, all of my stress and upset was for nothing. So for those of you with no updates, your dolls might be moving, just not getting scanned at each point. @Ice Mutt @Bristol I'm sorry you're having such bad luck! I hope it gets worked out soon. This hobby should be a relaxing outlet, not additional stress, though I know it's not the companies/ or artists' faults. It's stressful for everyone involved.
My order is still stuck. No updates since march 7th (67 days) I bought it in january. It’s a KidsSky Coral so cute. I guess I won’t meet her “in person” for a while. Ordered from Alice’s Collections, I know it’s not their fault but if I had known before, wouldn’t have ordered her that time
Several of my orders are stuck or delayed, but shipping from my country (dpd) only takes 3/4 days to arrive in other European countries... Ooh well, i guess this how it feels when you pre-order :p
Argh I’m so worried about my packages. I really hope they’re moving and not crushed under several boxes, waiting for delivery.... Oh man i thought that my 3 weeks of waiting was unbearable... I hope every can get their dolls home soon...
I'm going to be on round three of MSireDoll trying to ship a wig. First one was sent April 16th, tracking never did anything. Second one was on April 23rd, appeared to make it to JFK in the US from China, but was sent back for "security" (???) and made it back a few days ago to MSire. Customs on both sides is taking ages. Far as I can tell, there's not much I can do, MSire simply told me to hang in there (they came across a little short but I think that was just the language difference so NBD). At least for me, it's just a wig.
I ordered a pair of silicone eyes from Eyeco which is only a few states over (US-based) that were shipped on the 10th of April. Tracking had no updates for over 2 weeks, so I contacted Eyeco to see what my options were. They apologized and shipped a replacement pair on the 30th of April. Both the replacement pair and the original order arrived Monday (May 4th). The first package decided to "take the scenic route" I guess. I ended up just paying for the second pair since Eyeco was so kind.
This is actually not out of the ordinary for time like this, when I ship domestic via etsy, I had some item that would stuck at "pre-transit", then 2 weeks later boom status was updated and show it was delivered.
I'm trying to break myself of the habit of checking my Evan's tracking number lol people whose shipments went before mine haven't moved it's not like he's going to, but I keep stressing about it. >_<; And yeah I've got a first class package from within my own state that's gonna take easily at least a week rofl. That one's pins at least so not as stressful. Remote stress is my Y!J purchase a while back, the seller shipped it already but it's coming from outside of Japan. XD; It'll get there when it gets there lol at least I know DHL will get it to me quickly once it arrives. XD
More then 1 months several parcels from Russia are get stuck in the limb with no updates. First I was like, ok that’s global problem now, just need to be patient and try to not enter the tracking webpage every 10 minutes. Now start to doubt that in next several months will something globally change.
We definitely will have problems for a lot longer than anyone has said. I have now received 2 orders from China that languished for over a month. Now back to limbo. I'm trying hard to not buy more, since so many orders haven't shipped or are stuck in airports with no departing planes and customs with skeleton crews. This is a very frustrating time for the whole world. I try to remember how lucky I am in so many little ways compared to others and send my love and caring where I can.
I received two parcels this week from china and one from France (this one was safe in a logistics center due to the lockdown). 3 more to arrive... Will be almost 3 months of waiting time due to covid19.
My China EMS package is finally going on an aircraft after more than a week. Shorter wait time than most but probably because I live in Asia.
No idea. I would get if it just took extra time in customs before making it's way down, but I'm so confused as to why it can't seem to make it through customs in the first place. That's strange to me, a few months ago I got a little annoyed since (pre-covid) I regularly had issues with domestic/US Etsy sellers. I generally only buy in-stock/ready to ship items and would check tracking directly on the USPS site to see "generated shipping label", then it would sit for 1-3 weeks (often past the dates that the seller or Etsy had listed as the predicted "receive by" dates), before suddenly updating to "received at (post office)" and I'd get it in a few days. Nothing ever urgent, so I rarely mention it in my reviews but I asked in an Etsy chatter just asking if that was a normal practice and had some seriously upset sellers in the chat tell me that USPS regularly sits on their packages making them "look like we didn't bring them to the post office" come defend each other. Def doesn't line up with packages I've shipped or packages I've gotten from either friends or marketplace sellers or retail stores like FF&D or DDE, but eh, I let it go. I'm ok with places/shippers delaying right now with some of the weirdness I've been watching. I had a domestic US package, coming from DDE to me in North Carolina, that stopped updating for no apparent reason, then showed up in South Dakota (not a point really between Colorado and North Carolina) when I pinged USPS about it, then it got detoured to me. My family on the other side of the country wanted to send me some massively sentimental items (completely irreplaceable) to see if I could do some maintenance on them and send them back and I was like "absolutely not right now".
It’s been 45 days of my SDs head being in transit. USA to Thailand , with first class mail. I have a feeling she’s still in a us warehouse.
@Eva Brown Thank you! I hope everything goes well on your end too! I’m just glad it’s moving honestly!
The doll I'd been waiting for since 4/4 has finally arrived safely. Hopefully this means things shipped via EMS from Japan are starting to move.
Yay! That's fantastic! Hopefully that'll mean my Evan will move sometime in the next couple of weeks? He was sent on 4/10... Been worried sick lately lol
Korea seems to be moving quicker than China. I ordered a doll secondhand from China and it was shipped SF Express. That took about two weeks. EMS, on the other hand, sits at the airport for a month or more before starting to move. Evan from RS Doll is in Los Angeles and that took about three weeks. Hoping he's delivered this week!
I was surprised because between Thursday night into Friday morning the tracking went from arriving in NYC customs, to in transit, then delivered. It's possible they just didn't scan it every time it moved? Either way I am relieved. I hope your doll arrives soon!
Korea is definitely moving faster than China. I ordered some (off topic) stuff from AileenDoll that took about two weeks via EMS last month. Meanwhile, the dolls I ordered via a dealer from a Chinese maker were shipped over a month ago and still haven't arrived with them. I'm doing my best to try to tell my usual "it shipped!" antsiness to chill right now.
I’ve been waiting on some packages from Russian for over two months now. I want to say that this is unusual, but I’ve also never purchased from Russia before. The shipments I have from China are taking their usual amount of time, I’d say. Everything within the US has been as quick as usual as well. Hopefully that helps someone!
I am still waiting on packages from china and korea and it's been at least a month. One is a doll. I sent a package to England and it's been at customs for a week. It wouldn't let me insure my package to england, so I'm nervous and a little irritated at the delay. This happen to me during the China-us trade war and a doll head went "missing". I had to refund the buyer.
Australia Post Update: I actually drove to our nearest International Distribution Centre in Brisbane last week to collect a manually sorted parcel in person - The backlog was terrifying, we are talking an ACRE sized shed with inbound mail bins lined up for sorting!! And this is JUST for the state of Queensland with a population of a little over 5 million people. They've opened an additional 6 processing hubs in each state and are operating 24 hours a bay. To process the outgoing mail that arrives during business hours of 8am to 5pm is taking upwards of 30 hours, which is leading to the increased back log here. Having seen it with my own eyes I've got a far better understanding on why the tracking has been so erratic. My Dream Valley order from Denver Doll was delayed due to the casting shut down over Covid19 peak in China and is now taking the scenic route though the USA - USPS tracking shows a comprehensive list of movement - versus Australia Post has only a record of an inbound parcel.... Summary to my essay above is... Track-Trace seems to have the best record of where sh*t is but even then... its arrival is going to be delayed in Australia by a further 2-3 weeks thanks to backlogs.... UUUUGH Hugs to you all in limbo waiting with me xoxox
