DEEP BROWN EYES ~ are you obsessed?

Three of my dolls have eyes on the brown spectrum: Kit (Volks Kun) came with light brown eyes, Adia (IH Benny) came with golden brown ED eyes, and Tinne (SM Mylo) has very deep, dark brown ED eyes.

My favorite doll eye color is green, though.

 

I share your love for brown eyes. At the moment I only have three brown-eyed resin residents, although at one point I think I was up to five . . . I've ordered urethane eyes in various shades but one of my favourite pairs remains a pair of ED #53s.

 

None of my dolls wear brown eyes. The only pair of brown eyes I have are acrylics and I like my glass eyes much better.

I think I like exotic eyes better. All my dolls have unnatural eyes right now.

 

I love dark brown eyes, almost black, like Johnny Depp has, but only for characters who are likely to have dark eyes. Variety is the spice of life, after all. My dolls have all sorts, including fantasy colors for fantastic creatures.

 

I don't care for brown eyes. Too boring and too common where I live. I am rather in love with green eyes, though.

 

Actually none of my dolls have brown eyes. I'm planning one that will have it in the future, but that's just because the character he'll be based off have brown eyes. ^^; But I do have on girl with veeery deep blue eyes so they almost look black, and one boy with dark red eyes. But I think that since I have brown eyes myself, I've kinda... Unconsciously grown sick of that eye color and prefer my dolls to have other colored eyes.

 

One of my dolls has one brown eye (he's a chimera), and the other is blue. I prefer the blue one, it catches the light a lot more and looks more realistic. It's difficult to bring the colour out in the brown eye, especially as I like to take dark-toned photos.

 

Ummmm.... YES. I'm actually a little bummed right now because my DIM girl's brown Masterpiece eyes started separating (the layers) a couple of days ago - and SHE HAS TO WEAR GREEN ONES until I can get another pair... It's not right - not right I say!

 

I like brown eyes. But in my dolls, lighter eyes look better for some reason. This is why I usually give them light versions of brown. Four of my dolls have brown eyes: One a very light orange-brown, one pink-brown, one sparkling dark gold with a brown background and one a very light, hazel-like mix of grey and brown. I have only one pair of really dark eyes, and maybe one of my future dolls will get them. We'll see.

 

I have a lot of green eyed girls

 

I loved green eyes on my dolls at first- that is until I realized that I had some 6 or 7 pairs. I'm now officially sick of the colour, and went with hazel for my last pair of green eyed siblings instead. Brown is now my new fixation because it's even harder to find nice realistic brown eyes than it is to find green ones. I have two dolls in brown eyes, and possibly one more coming, and one doll is wearing black eyes but as much as I like them, I think brown might suit her better, so that'll bring it up to 4 out of 13 XD I also don't have enough blue eyed dolls. I really do like mixing it up, since I want each doll to be independently unique, but brown eyes are beautiful (and I have them myself, although mine look black )

 

It's blue eyes that are the majority over here... Blue in every shade from so-pale-it's-almost-silver to so-dark-they-might-as-well-be-black... and I love them all.

I do have a couple of dolls with brown eyes, though. My favorite set that shade are probably Hogasha's... They're antique German blown glass, an in-person are almost the color of dark mahogany.

 

I guess for me, I prefer the paler eyes as they show up the light better than dark eyes, especially in my home where the light isn't as bright. My Ciao Bella Judy has very pale beige colored eyes with dark rims, and they look stunning on her. My other Ciao Bella, Roko, has very pale blue-green eyes with dark rims and made by the same company as Judy's. They look quite striking. They are two pairs of my best eyes. I have always been drawn to paler eyes because I have dark brown eyes myself. I was one of those little girls who dreamed my brown eyes turned to blue, that's how badly I wanted blue eyes, LOL! That being said, I think brown eyes can look beautifully dramatic and mysterious if they are the right color (Hogasha's is a fine example).

 

I had to think about this. Then I had to go look at my dolls. lol.

I've got exactly two dolls with brown eyes; my 60cm Obitsu and my RS puppy. Blue and green seem to be the popular choice in my family with a few odd ball colors like purple tossed in there.

Some dolls it was a conscious choice. For example:all my Shiwoos must have green eyes. For the rest of them it's more of a trial and error thing. I'll get a new doll and pull out the eye box and start experimenting.

 

I have one brown-eyed beauty here, my Megu, Mafonwen. Her default eyes are 18mm Dark Brown eyes by Hands Glass Craft. Amazing quality eyes, they really sparkle.

Most of the others have turquoise eyes. I seem to prefer this hovering between blue and green shade. I have two pairs by Hands and two pairs by Volks.

 

My Chloe has light brown eyes. Brown may not be as exotic but it sure can be beautiful!

 

None of my dolls have brown eyes; they each have a different shade of blue. I really like blue-green colored eyes best, and I hope to get them matching sets one day (though it's not on the top of my list).

I've got nothing against brown eyes, though I'd be more apt to experiment with other colors.

HAHA this is me all over. Just check out the heading of my avatar! lol 4 of my 6 dolls have brown eyes, it was almost 5 but I liked her default green so much I kept them.

They just seem so much cuter, and I agree about the warth, brown eyes just look very ernest.

 

I have a pretty good mix of eye colors!

Loki, Hansel, Erik, and Jayson have brown

Amir, Mike, Lucien, and Axl have green.

Cosmos and Matt have hazel.

Blake, Zack, Mikko and Parker have blue.

Maddy has purple.

Venice has red.

Sixx's vary from day to day, anything from red with white pupils to solid white to bright blue to black. Though his "natural" color is mousy brown.

 

Of all the dolls I have planned, a grand total of 1 is going to get brown eyes.
And that's mostly just because I thought it would look nice in combination with her turquoise hair when I created the character.
My general personal favorite is green, specifically the green-golden AiL eyes I have.

 

I have three dolls with brown eyes. I really like the colour but it only fits those three characters.

 

My Megu came with deep brown eyes but she doesn't wear them because the colour is too dark. They look black to me. I do love brown eyes though, especially taupe colours. Brown flecked grey eyes are another favourite. Blondes certainly look better with brown eyes, imo.

 

My KDF Cherry came with a set of brown acrylics, but I prefer lighter, more fantasy colors for my dolls' eyes so they've been switched out with a set of glass honey gold that shows up much better on camera.

 

Brown eyes are so beautiful in almost any sculpt, neutral yet full of soul and warmth ^.^ But I seem to have a calling to Blue eyes, it may be because I live near a beach and the cool blues seem to remind me of the ocean and is homely-ness to me.

 

I currently have 8 dolls, 6 SD and 2 Puki. All but one have eyes in various shades of brown, one Puki has dark green eyes.

For some reason, brown eyes just look more realistic to me.

Or maybe it's because I have brown eyes myself, and when I was growing up all dolls had blue eyes. Vacant, lifeless blue eyes.

 

All 3 of my planned dolls are going to be at least a little bit Japanese, so they all have brown eyes. But different shades so they're all pretty in their own way.
Also, I think brown eyes are interesting because I have blue eyes, which seem "normal" to me.

 

Most of my dolls have brown eyes...I currently have five and three of them have brown eyes. But my dolls are based on characters from shows, movies and books, so I pretty much follow that.

Though trying to find a nice set of brown eyes is a pain.

 

YES. Deep, dark brown eyes, like melting chocolate. The ones you can melt in yourself. >w<

It also helps that I have a nice pair of dark brown eyes myself... xD

 

I actually really like brown eyes, considering that is also what I have! So far though I only have one doll with brown eyes, my Doll Family-A YanJi, he came with the prettiest chocolaty brown eyes as default. Originally he was going to have green eyes, but these suited him much better

 

I have a mix (this includes planned/upcoming dolls):

Brown - Quinn (honey), Zane (chocolate), Bree (chocolate), Scarlett (medium), Jaye and Angelia (hazel), Keys (dark)
Blue - Spencer (bright), Uriah and Emlyn (hazel-blue), Gunnar, Schuyler and Rika (ice), Hunter and Hamony (dark), Gracie (teal), Abby (medium)
Green - Amrynn (light), Kendall (green-grey), Demitriana (mossy), Mitchie (bright),
Gray - Lily and Savanna (light), Lucas (dark)
Other - Ginaphae (lilac), Vivi (changes due to "contacts" but is usually purple, hasn't told anyone her natural color yet)

So, out of 24, that's 7 brown, 10 blue, 4 green, 3 gray and 2 other. ^__^

 

I usually prefer more unnatural eye colors: aka colors we can't have for our eye without lenses. ^^ It's like, I can't have this eye color, but hey, my doll can !! I especially like red eyes, blue eyes, orange eyes, white eyes . . .


. . . however my doll has brown eyes. It's kind of ironic, isn't it. *laughs*

 

I love brown eyes on my dolls; the darker the better. The main reason I have so many brown/dark eyed dolls is because they're based on characters I've created, but I also really like how they show up in pictures.

 

Even if I have a gorgeous pair of green eyes, I tend to go back to the browns for my girl... I'm trying to broaden my views but I don't know whether she'll stay the same character if she has other color eyes ^^;

I have an affinity for beautiful brown eyes (+ dark hair) on dolls and humans. Every single one of my dolls past, present, and future will have varying shades of brown eyes. All medium to dark tones. Brown eyes are very warm, familiar, and comforting. On the flipside, they're sexy, mischievous, and vibrant. Like the op, I also find myself pulled into them as if by magnets.

I tend to find other eye colors cold and lacking depth, with the exception of some green/hazel shades. The only other eye color I like is deep purple which I do have, but my dolls are more lovely in brown.

 

Brown eyes? No - but I'm finding I'm having trouble staying away from red hair. :S

 

I like blue eyes, haha. My dolls tend to end up with blue eyes. And blonde hair... But recently I'm trying to make it more varied in the new OCs (who will take a long time to come into doll form, lol)

 

I don't think I've had any brown eyed dolls. I used to have several black/gray eyed dolls, though. I love how natural they looked with dark eyes! ^^ But my current collection all have some variation of blue eyes, except for the one with red.

 

I'm fixated on deep, dark brown eyes in real life; so yes, quite a few of my dolls have them, especially my boys.

 

None of my dolls have brown eyes but I'm waiting for 2 and one of them will have hazel eyes and the other one will have dark brown eyes well, my Rosiel has orange-ish brown eyes, if that counts.

 

Most of my dolls have brown eyes or hazel eyes with brown as the dominant color.

I've also noticed that while I adore color--especially in wigs--and I'm not afraid at all to go way out there with WILD color, I tend to have a doll collection where 90% of my dolls on my shelves are wearing black hair.

 

Sort of. I have two OCs (a mother and daughter) whose eyes are a very particular shade of deep, deep brown. The daughter is currently wearing a set of SOOM silicone, while the mother is wearing glass...can't remember the maker. The silicone eyes are just about the perfect color, but I don't think I care much for silicone eyes! I prefer glass...but the mom's glass eyes just aren't the right color.

So...a little obsessed. Just with finding the RIGHT brown eyes.
