Dearmine waiting room v.2

Ahhh you guys! She came!! I was ready to mope the rest of the night because my job might need to place us on leave without pay due to the COVID19 crisis but look who came in today!

Instantly uplifted spirits! She’s so beautiful, and the face up is so pretty. You can’t see it but it’s all shimmery! I wasn’t expecting her so soon!

I realized I got a package slip for her today right before I had to go to work, I’m crossing my fingers the post office will let my boyfriend pick her up.

 

I was lucky, my husband was off from work so he was home to sign for the package. I hope she's waiting for you when you get home!!

 

She was, today. She is as gorgeous as the pictures! I’m so scared to put the shoes on, and I’m not sure how to lace up her dress either to be honest! Also, how should I take off her head to put the eyes in? Is her head just magnetic?

 

Aaahh I had the same issues! Here you go:

The shoes: It helped me to under the knot and loosen the laces then try putting the foot in, more time consuming but the foot went in a LOT easier. Then just tighten and tie the laces back up!

The head: It is magnetic! I had to get my fingernails into the back seam and lift forward, there is a little indent under her chin that locks the head in place so you have to work it around that. Most of her head comes off, leaving just the base on the neck! I can get a pic if you need it.

Thank you so much for the tips, seriously! All that’s left now is to figure out how to get the hat to stay and maybe tidy up her wig a bit... any recommendations for those? I’m worried brushing out her wig will make it frizzy and less curly... she’s my first MSD doll, I’m so nervous to mess anything up!

 

I have NO idea how to keep the hat on! Right now I have her holding it in her lap on my shelf. I might try finding a hat pin? I think that's how it works in real life? Or I might ask DearMine.

As for the wig I didn't brush it out but I did finger comb it which made it a little frizzy. It's not too bad, but I might try spritzing it with some water and smoothing it out a little.

 

Smart idea, I'll probably try the same too honestly.

Have you/has anyone seen the new dear lover doll Oskar ~Somnium~? He's so beautiful and I love his eyes/outfit but at $610 I'm probably going to have to pass, sadly.

 

The new Oskar looks lovely but I don’t have the same love for him like I had for Vivien ~Sunshine when I saw her. That and I’m still paying off another doll I’m actually glad they didn’t come out with anyone I instantly want this spring, I wouldn’t be able to get them right now.

 

I'm back...yet again lol. I just purchased Oskar and a bean Chopin. I was mad at myself that I missed out on Vivien, so I didn't want to miss out on this pretty kitty this time!

I’m also back again, this time waiting on the Loc that is on Denver Doll and hopefully soon the white Nocturne Arcadia straight from Dear Mine! Waiting for them to make a listing for me. He’s cheaper right now if anybody is curious, because they sold out of the outfit, they’re selling him nude.

Which brings me to my question, does anybody own Nocturne and can confirm that he fits well in most male MSD clothing?

 

Hello I believe Nocturne uses the same body type as all dearmine lovers (only the feet are different) so normal male MSD clothing will fit..heck, even girl MSD clothes will fit! Here's my DM Evans wearing some! XD

I emailed Dearmine asking when they’d next open a preorder for Lupy, as I miss it every year... and they offered me one they had left! In soda skin & with pearl make up. I’m delighted! I finally got my Lupy!

Yeah, I saw Lupy back in 2016 when I was just into the hobby & I've been trying to get one since.

 

I've had only a few minor issues over my many orders from Dearmine, and they have always been good about apologies and making things right, without needing any pressure. They really seem to care about their customers.

One thing they did was send me a pair of cute kitty socks as an apology for having an outfit listed as in stock when it wasn't, and needing me to wait several months for a new similar outfit set to be made (they couldn't get the same color fabric for the original design). They were very apologetic and didn't charge shipping, either.

 

Congrats! Their customer service is amazing! My little girl has the pearl makeup, and it's so professionally perfect and just adorable - you will love her (or him, whichever the case may be), I'm sure of it! Did you buy any bean clothes to go along?

 

I didn’t buy any clothes... I’ll probably make some... I was so excited to get the order through, I didn’t even think about clothes!

 

LOL - actually, they're so frigging charming that they're adorable even bare nekkid. (I mean seriously, who ever saw an axolotl with clothes, anyway...? )

I just ordered a little owl from DearMine last night. The website says production starts July 18th and takes up to 60 days to complete. Can anyone in the US let me know how long shipping will probably take after that?

 

2-3 months-ish is about right for Dearmine. With Covid-19, though, post may be delayed depending where you are.

 

Even better, I mis-read the website and production started June 18th! So maybe he will be here sooner.

 

Does anyone know if Dearmine sends out notifications/emails when an order has been shipped? Or is it just the status of the order that will change on the website?

 

The status will change on the website only. So have to check periodically.
Tracking info will be shown on the Shipments tab on the specific order's page.

It was only on full set, couldn’t choose without a kimono. My dream is to have the normal version (not bean one) as well, but it was released years ago and I didn’t win the lotery to buy it...perhaps one day!

My DearLover Dune was shipped today! I'm soooo excited For some reason though the tracking number doesn't show any matches on the EMS website, but I'm thinking that might just be because it was just sent out and maybe not in the system yet. Anyone else have this experience?

EDIT FOR AN UPDATE: I emailed DearMine about the tracking number a few days ago and they said to just keep checking it since the system might be slower than normal due to COVID. I looked last night and there was finally a result! He's in Seoul as of the 5th, but no updates after that, which is to be expected. I'm sure processing will take longer due to all the COVID regulations and cutbacks.

 

My Dune arrived today!! It only took him 15 days altogether, and only 3 days once he left Korea! I'll be posting some box opening pics soon

I never saw the shipping notice but suddenly Huku arrived today!!!! I'm so glad I bought my own eyes for him. Fantastic!! I think I'll also try my hand at body blushing to add more great-horned owl details/colors later on.

It sounds like dearmine doesn't send an email notice when your order ships? How long is it usually from the date or ordering an in-stock doll to the shipment date? I know shipping overseas might take a while but I'm curious how frequently I should be checking for updates on whether or not they shipped!

 

I bought a Huku with company body-blush, which was not in stock. Ordered 7/4/20 and arrived 9/13/20. Sorry that probably doesn't help but if you're getting a doll that's in stock I'd assume it would take much less time! (I'm in the US btw)

Hi! I ordered the winter 2020 picasso in rose skin. He is my first order at dearmine and a present for my mom.

How long is the waiting time currently? I am nervous. I rarely order new dolls

 

I think Vivien took around 3 months when I bought her? I ordered her at the end of December 2019 and she shipped in March. But this was all before the pandemic so I don't know if that has changed?

 

It's more like six months now, especially if you ordered make up.

 

Dearmine says on their website everything is delayed overall. I waited from September to February to get my MSD Arthur yet my Dear Bean Lincoln took from October to January. Varies a lot now. At least we know there are delays at least.

My Bean Q is supposed to ship sometime this month? I ordered in December. If you go to the DM website, it actually lists the estimated shipping time for all December products.
