Talking about shipping, I just found a Tracking Number this morning on my order details for my Oskar & Dear Shine body ^^ They're on their way

Well, both Aaron, my Oskar and my Dear Shine body arrived all OK today. Both are absolutely gorgeous, but Sadly Dearmine seem to have forgotten everything else from my Oskar layaway ie. 1 pair clear brown Dear Pet devil wings, 1 pair Dear Pet mobility legs & 1 pair Dear Pet brown student shoes Therefore, I'll mark my Dearshine Body as arrived today but Oskar's layaway as partially arrived.

 

I forgot to add that I finally paid my layaway at the beginning of the month

 

WOW! Dearmine somehow managed to get the missing Dear Pet parts from my Oskar layaway order sent out to me VERY quickly! I had them arrive today! I ESPECIALLY love the little clear brown devil wings...they have just the tiniest hint of gold pearl blush on them, much like their black student shoes, and they are just beautifully made! They suit my little Romance Zuzu Lio, Roary, perfectly ^^ So yes, finally all has arrived...and just in time to planning the next items to wait on with Dearmine's upcoming Winter releases

I'm just noting that I've made my last Layaway payment for Heather on the list. I also tried to clean up some of the code, but I might have messed some other things up... not info, just bolds and italics... anyone, feel free to go in and sort stuff out!

 

Wow I haven't been in here for a few months. Everyones pics are absolutely lovely. Sadly Orion (my Oskar) and I are still waiting on my Evans Lord Jack (to be name Orpheus) to come in. In the mean time Dearmine have put up new dolls. Sigh. O Orpheus we haven't even really met yet and you telepathically tell me to order a Oz White Night. But what about the Dune Noir that's coming out in less than 2 weeks. Ok ok Oz White Night it is. The site says that this dear is a girl so maybe I will name her Lyra. Still looking forward to seeing what the new Dune is going to look like might have to do a layaway.

 

Oh... you made me check out the DearMine site! I hadn't seen the new releases. OZ is adorable! Love that they call it "Milk Tea" skin tone.

I'm still waiting for Heather, so no new dollies for me!

 

Hi! Hope it's alright to ask, if you request a layaway with Dearmine is it possible to pay it off early? Just waiting for an answer from them on their QnA board ^^ Thank you very much!

 

I think it's totally up to you to pay it off early or not. I'm sure Dearmine would love to get the money more quickly. They are only doing layaways for the buyers, not because they want to spread out the payments for months.

 

Thank you for your reply April Dearmine replied saying provided it was no later than the pre-specified date each month, it could be paid as and when. I only requested layaway because it's still two weeks to payday and I'm pretty sure another company who don't offer layaway will be demanding the contents of my wallet

Hmmm... about 2 months wait, eh? It'll probably be a while for my Heather to arrive, then...!

 

looks like 2 months all right... so much for We'll ship as soon as you finish paying like they told me... I am a bit disapointed.

 

Some people seem to get their dolls very quickly... I guess it depends on what's in stock or not...

So they told you they would ship when you were paid up? Hmmm...! I don't think that has ever happened when I've bought a doll from a company. You'd think they'd have plenty of time to prepare a doll after a layaway of several months, but that never seems to be the way it works (I guess there are enough people who flake on the payments to make most companies not trust the sale until it is totally paid up).

 

Or it was just plain miscommunication, it happened before. I did ask them if they will be able to send my order before or after their holiday break. They are closed from January 1st to the 7th I think.

I can wait, if I know I am in for the waiting... heck I was prepared to wait till Febuary for my Soom Cheshire because I paid with a layaway, he shipped earlier I was surprised. I guess I should have not hung so much on what they told me, that they would ship him right away after my payment was finished. It just stuck in my head, making the waiting a bit edgy for me.

He'll get here... eventually... I just have to wait.

 

I did a layaway and all I can see under my ORDERS are my three layaways (all completed). Is there a way to find/check on my original (main) order? I guess I should just ask in Q&A...

 

you can check in Orders in your buyer panel... mine is there there,s the payment info and there is a tab that says shipping that's where the put the info when the doll is shipped I was told.

I did recontact them they told me the doll is currently in makeup and won,t be sent until they return from vacation so not before January 8th I guess, if not later.

 

acexkeikai-- Thanks for the info! Hmm... on holiday until the 8th will definitely mean my Heather will probably be a while longer... Oh, well!

well it's the 6th... the 7th over there... still no shipping notice.

 

If they were off for a while, they're probably just starting to get going on things... so who knows where they are in the process? I'm still waiting, too...

They DO send shipping notices, right? Some companies don't bother and suddenly (or not) there is a delivery...!

Hopefully they will get around to shipping stuff out soon. It seems to have been a while since there has been any arrivals...

 

Have you checked the website? Is there an order status you can check? I seem to remember something about someone saying that they never got a shipping notice through an email, but it was on the site...or something like that, frankly my memory is a little rubbish at the moment.

 

I check my order and none of my 2 payments for the layway have shipping info on them.

 

I did layaway, too, and didn't see where there was shipping info.

BUT!!!! I just looked and when I clicked on the info/details (order#) of my First LAYAWAY payment under Orders... There appeared some new stuff in the shipping tab (was always blank before).

And YES! A shipping number!!!!! It's posted with today's date, so it just went up. Checked the tracking and it has only just been handed over to the shipping service. WHEEEE!

No shipping notice email so far... so that seems to be the way it's going. Check the site under Orders, clicking order # of first layaway, then shipping tab (which is empty until it's got a tracking number).

Wow... just wow... that's now 3 people who finished their layaways AFTER me who get their doll's shipped. Either the postal fates hates me or they just keep forgetting about my order all the time. Well that settles it I won't order Picasso. IÈm just getting too frustrated. I just want to get my doll and move on.

 

Different sculpts have different schedules, sometimes. In a small doll factory, they can only do so many things at a time... It is possible that the order of pouring moulds might have delayed your order. Or maybe some other thing; faceups or accessories or clothing. The holidays may have also delayed some things so they are shipping out of order. Hopefully you will get a shipping notice soon, acexkeikai.

 

Yes probably but I wish they hadn't told me the doll was already done and ready to ship when I ordered. Something probably happened and they didn't fill me in now I wait and I am stewing waiting and waiting. If they had just told me yes the doll is still availlable I would have been prepared for the wait because I would expected them to make it.

It,s not that I want to make excuses but when they told me oh yes we have the doll and it's ready to ship and I do a layaway on it... I do expect the doll is still ready to ship. I would have been totally ok with it if they told me this: Sorry something happened we have to redo the doll... but no they didn't. I had to contact them twice to finally learned that the doll is in makeup. Because when I asked why they didn't ship the doll if it was ready when I ordered, they never replied.

I know everyone has had excellent service and yes I do know I will get my doll but right now I just feel like they just rolled the problem under the carpet and pretend they never told me it was a ready doll to be shipped and leave it at that.
And I am aware of the We don't want to loose face attitude in Asia but I hope you can understand the frustration on my part.

Just realised that we'd lost the fact that Nekochanms Evans Lord Jack had arrived...probably my fault, so I figured I'd fix it

 

well... I got a letter Tuesday from Dear mine saying: Sorry for the delay we ship today.... Thank you for your patience.

but I haven't got a tracking number and I still don't have a tracking number on either of my layaway payment statements...

so... I am still not sure if they shipped my doll or not.

 

Devil's advocate - maybe they shipped it but just haven't had time for some reason to put up the tracking number (or forgot)

Actual suggestions, are you looking at the first layaway order for shipping, I think that's where the site suggested shipping stuff would be? And post a Q&A saying that you don't have a tracking number yet, but your order was meant to have been shipped. When you're having trouble with a company for whatever reason, the best thing to do is keep in contact and keep bothering them about it. They should have shipped it or they shouldn't have said that they would, so keep asking for that tracking number. Ask every day if you have to, until you get it.

 

I did that several times. nothing in the first layaway payment nothing on the second either. I sent them a reply to the letter they sent me yesterday... just waiting to see if they will get it/reply with a tracking number. I am giving them the week end? they aren't working so I don't justify bugging them if they aren't working you know?

But yeah I will send another letter on Monday (because it will be Tuesday in Korea)

 

still no tracking but I figured out why my doll is late... the Picassos stole his clothing

 

FINALLY I get to finally Update this... wow it's about frigging time... got a tracking number today so YAY

 

Wonderful news, acexkeikai! At least shipping was first thing this week as hoped so with any luck you could have your little Loc safe and sound at home by Friday

I just got my kid delf today and now I find out that my Oz is shipping...this sure has been one heck of a day

Thank you! Yeah! I think it's probably safe to assume that the January/February orders have arrived and the people just haven't come back to update the list. As for the others, I'm not sure. I hope nekochanms has received their Oz at least, I'd feel really bad otherwise.
Also,I made a promise that I wouldn't buy any more dolls until at least two of the ones I was waiting for arrived and technically they have, so....

Seems like I'm the first one to order anything this month. This will be my first Dearmine, and I ordered a Evans Lord Jack. I put him up for a three month layaway because I wanted to get the first payment in as quickly as possible. I was nervous he would be sold out if I'd waited. But I finished off the last two payments just a couple of hours ago.
Now comes the worst part... waiting.

Thank you so much!! And, yeah, they sure are!! I fell in love with the Bitter faceup, (his little dot eyebrows and eyelashes are really striking!!) but the Sweet one has grown on me quite a bit, too..!

Oh, I hope so! It makes one nervous when it says on their site 40days and 2-3 weeks extra it it's with face up. Do you guys think they would be offended if I asked if I could get the doll without the face up? I'm going to wipe it anyway.

 

You can always ask, just make sure to phrase it nicely and don't be too upset if they tell you no. It's worth a try.

 

I wrote to them on their Q&A board. I hope I phrased it in a way that didn't offend them. But surely they must know how many collectors who likes to paint the dolls themselves, so hopefully it's alright.

 

Whoops. Forgot to add myself to this. I swear, half a brain and I'd be dangerous.

Also, I'm vouching for their incredibly rapid service. I got my Dorothy well before the projected 30 days that was quoted on the sale page.

 

I'm just going to whine a little bit. Last weekend I asked Dearmine how long it was going to take until my Evans was finished. They apologized for the delay and promised to ship him out this week. I've heard nothing since and there's no shipping info. So I'm a bit disappointed in them. I wasn't expecting it to take this long to be honest.

I'm glad I asked them to not give him any face up, so that'll save some time. Still had to pay fullprice though but I expected as much. One would think they'd hurry up a bit since I paid extra for him. Oh, well.

 

Okay, so it's possible that I'm counting wrong since my brain is sort of mush at the moment, but 40 business days from when you ordered by my count isn't until next week (and that's from when you started the layaway, not when you paid it off).
The saying that the doll will ship but not shipping it seems to be pretty standard amongst companies though, it makes me wonder whether it's a cultural thing in Korea

 

Since they said there was a delay I'm guessing it was expected to be shipped out sooner. And yes, it's only been 44 days since I paid off, but again, it's them who said delay and not me.
I don't know if it's a cultural thing or not but it should definitely not be standard. And when I was willing to pay that much more for the doll without a face up (my choice I know) I would've appreciated if they kept their promise. I don't like to be whiny or seem ungrateful and I usually just suck it up but I felt the need to share this time. It's not like I'm going to complain to them or anything.
