I had saved up to buy a Dear Mine doll and now finally, with the blessing of my lovely boyfriend, i have placed an order for Dear Lover Angela with different make-up * so excited (MAKE UP :: DL * Eared :: DL ME-02 - ::: Dear Mine Doll :::)
It took me so long to decide not to go for the standard make up but im so in love with the other make-up. Fingers crossed that it will look good ^^
I can't wait for her to arrive and post pictures O.O

Oh! I love that about waiting time (I guess it's the only thing I like at all) getting everything ready for their arrival, like making some clothes and preparing a good setup

You should! There's many free patterns in internet, and some even have instructions so it's really easy to do!

Gaaaaaah My biggest regret now is not paying more atention to Dear Mine. If I'd known I would have ordered a Saera cool ver...

I have never ordered from Dear Mine before. Any chance they'll release the sculpt again in the future?

 

This is the second release of Saera, so cross your fingers. Probably not anytime soon, though. I'm still hoping for another Heather. I really love her sulky look and big ears.

 

Oh man, this thread's be really quiet! I've been so busy with my big guys I'd almost forgotten about the little ones! I'm loving the new versions of Oskar and Nocturne!

I did the faceup myself, so that means a lot to me.

I always loved Dearmine's slight open mouth on priscilla. I wish I had images of her blank. Her sculpt blank is cute all in itself. Priscilla has so much potential.

i wish my faceup skills were that sleek and refined omg.... unfortunately my style leans more towards "dirty space baby" which works for some things... but not for the look i want any of my dearmines. :P
are those applied bottom lashes she has on btw??! they look great!

I'll be sure to post some blank pictures of mine when she comes in, so anyone in the future who's wondering what she looks like blank can see.

 

Oh wow! She's absolutely cute as can be! I love her look. You did an amazing job to bring out the personality of this sculpt. I never realized she had such unique potential.

(I fell in love with Oskar and had to order him, then while I was waiting Evans -- who I didn't even know existed! -- popped up on eBay and... it was an even greater case of love at first sight. )

Hello! Welcome to the wonderful wold of DearMine! They're all such lovely sculpts, you are quite right in saying it's hard not to want all of them. Your Oskar and Evans are lovely - happy Easter from my DearMine boys as well!

 

No complaints about Priscillaposting here. I wish they made a Priscilla head with Saera's eyes. The half-lidded look would make for a wonderful bratty catgirl.

Personally, I'm holding off for the next limited fullset to see if they come out with something I fall in love with. If not, and if Pipos doesn't drop an adorable Isabelle set in the meantime, the basic Priscilla with that blush/freckle faceup is going to be my first doll.

she is such a delicate poser, i love how good every single thing her arms do looks! and her hands are gorgeous....!!!



i'm totally in love.... i've been having a hard time deciding on what eyes to order for her, but now that she's here i think i might have an easier time. :P
i'm not sure if these 14mm from bluefairy suit her the best, i think i'll end up getting her 16mm in the end.
i do need to style her wig a bit though. i'm not entirely sure how to keep her wig from like.... "bunching up" between/under her ears?? the rest of it needs an overall trim too tho. :P

idk what i'm gonna do about her faceup at this point, i always like to give it a go myself before sending them off. :3c

Oh, she's adorable. You'll have to keep us updated on the eyes! I've been thinking of getting Priscilla, but I'd love to find a nice set of cat eyes for her before I finally cave.

i'm thinking of getting her these Makoeyes - Ball Jointed Doll Total Shop if i end up going with mako eyes, and these if i go with some leekes: Leeke World or Leeke World
i wonder if mako would offer a custom iris and make cat eyes for you?

I'm color blind, so get a second opinion before you spend any money, but I think those leeke LG-169 would look wonderful with that color scheme. I absolutely love the earrings and the little line under the eyes really helps draw attention to them.

I say give it a shot first. Worst case scenario, you can chalk it up to learning experience. Never know if you don't try!

Looks like they announced their summer event, hopefully my patience pays off! 14th of June is when it starts. Two Lovers, Lector and Flora. I couldn't find any pictures, but I did see a WIP head on their Facebook page. Maybe a Fennec fox? Flora could be a Fennec name. Though if the limited Diana comes with a nice fullset, I might be tempted to go up a size. Part of me was hoping for a new Saera, so I'll probably end up going back to my first choice of a basic Priscilla if the event lovers are just animal eared humans instead of anthros. Anywhere else I should look for pictures?



And sorry if this isn't a Lover sized head, I'm always bad with sizes, but it doesn't look like Diana.

 

Those ears do make me think of a Fennec fox. How cute! I've not been paying much attention to DearMine as of late sadly, as all I've really been wanting off them are outfits that are sold as full sets, but I can't justify buying a whole doll just for the outfit.

That must have been the trade of the century because he's utterly fabulous! He has so much character, and I absolutely love his skin color and faceup. His entire look is amazing!

 

He's in the cocoa and its gorgeous! I love it! I'm thinking about getting him red eyes, about the color of the red in his hair. Yes? No?

 

yesssss, i have a cocoa bean and he's a beutiful colour, all of dearmine's resins are great, but i'm super impresse by how solid and high quality their browns are *w*

Ooh yes red eyes would look awesome! Both of my DearMine boys are white resin, but I would dearly love one in milk tea or cocoa. And a Bean in every colour of the rainbow! (My heart says yes, but my wallet says no).

 

Wow I've been away from the boards way too long - away from my dolls too long too (metaphorically speaking). I'm jumping back into the hobby and I've got a question for everyone with a DearLover boy!

I would love to make, or get, my Leo some more clothing, but I'm always daunted by his hands and feet. I don't have much experience with things like elastic, though I'd be willing to learn but I was wondering if anyone who does have some tighter clothing on their DearLover boy's felt like sharing their ways of getting them on, considering the size of the hands and feet. I've only ever taking Leo's hands off one, to put his full set outfit on when he first arrived, but its daunting to do alone so a suggestion or two on how to keep him strung while getting him into some more form fitting clothing would be totally appreciated.

I need to take new pictures soon, it would be so nice to share again! Its lovely to see everyone's dolls!

 

@HeavensChaos - I've gotten Nocturne into a top made for a Minifee, the arm holes are not stretchy at all, it just took a lot of careful maneuvering and patience to get it on.

Well I'll keep that in mind as I look at clothes and cloth, but its not useful for his fullset - the Creature Claw Oskar top has tight sleeves and cuffs and I wouldn't be able to slip his hands through if I wanted to. The first time I got him into it I actually left marks on the wrist ball by doing it incorrectly. At least, I'm assuming incorrectly. Does anyone else have an inability to pull the string through the wrist or ankle ball? When I first got Leo I thought I was supposed to be able to rest the S Hook in the ball on what appeared to be a groove for it but the string can't slip through to do so. Is that actually a thing or I am just not looking at it right?

 

I didn't know that was something even possible. I've not actually heard of anything like it. Most curious.

 

The resting the s-hook in the wrist and ankle balls is a thing. Dearmine lists it in their FAQ somewhere, I think in the post about assembling the DL boy body. You just have to pull hard enough to get the string through. The problem is the wrist balls are pretty thin so there's some risk of one cracking when you pull the string through to lock it in place. (One did crack on me.) The size of the slit varies from ball to ball as well, probably because the parts are thin so they're not so uniform when removed from the mold.

I've moved to using the LUTS clothes changing parts rather than relying on locking the s-hooks in the wrist and ankle balls.

 

@Quiet and Insane Well I guess I asked the hard question then!

@scripple I thought so. In my case I've been way too afraid to tug too hard and can't remember if I did try to get them through when I had them all clipped off with a clamp once or had meant to and never managed it. I haven't found any place selling clothes changing parts, though I remember seeing them on Luts' site once but they've done product shifts since then, so I figured I could ask about at least a little for some other ideas. I'll keep this in mind though, I'm glad to know I wasn't imagining it even if I feel iffy about trying it. Thanks!

 

@scripple - After over three years in the hobby, how on earth have I only just found out about this method? Ok, I've totally got to give this a go on the weekend! I have hand changing paddles for my bigger guys, but I really should try and find some of the Luts ones for my smaller guys. I know they've reshuffled the site since I last visited, and I'm fairly certain they're sold out of those parts. I might email them anyway and ask.

They are currently sold out on LUTS, but they may come back at some point. It would be pretty trivial to make your own using some instamorph or similar and some spare s-hooks.

Hey, does anybody know what I can do to get flat feet for my Irene? The ones on their sight are out of stock, and I don't know what other company perhaps has other feet I can use that would fit the ankle size and the normal skin color... Any help in my search would be appreciated

 

They're not the prettiest for bare feet because of the gap between the big toe and other toes, but you can use the DL girl's geta feet from Dear Mine.

 

I'm afraid they don't offer those in normal skin tone

 

Sorry @Tora Youkai. I was thinking white normal. You could ask them via the Q&A if they could help you out. They only answer the English version once a week though due to lack of English proficient staff.

i would definitely ask on dearmine's q&a board first.
but if that doesn't pan out, imo dearmine's white normal matches bluefairy's beauty white very well (not 100%, but maybe around 90-95%%), so their normal skin might possibly match as well? although bluefairy can be a bit inconsistent in their NS.... but i think they've gotten better lately. :P

if i had any normal skin from dearmine i would gladly do a comparison but i only have their pure white, normal white, and cocoa.
but yeah, bluefairy, they sell a variety of feet. it looks like the tiny fairy (msd) feet aren't sold flat anymore though? i swear they used to be. maybe i should inquire... o_o

you might be able to get away with the shiny fairy jr. feet parts, if the ankles are the same as the anthro msds?
about ankle size, i'm not quite clear if the anthro and human ankles are the same and it's just the feet that are different? i only have the anthros from dearmine, atm.

in any case, you would also probably need the compatibility ankle balls they (bluefairy) sell.
that's what came to mind for me anyway, there's probably something much easier and with less runaround.


here's a comparison if it helps at all. tiny headcap is bluefairy normal skin, below it is deamine white normal priscilla ear and a bluefairy beauty white fist, the tail is dearmine pure white, and the large headcap is dollzone 2015 white skin for extra reference. :0
