Wow, on to our second thread now!

Still waiting to hear back from Dearmine regarding the Dear Lover flat foot debacle but as I can understand the PNW BJD Expo was just this weekend past and I've been seeing a bunch of great pics circulating around from the Expo featuring Dearmine's presence at the show I can understand if they've been a little busy. Here's Dune in Soom silicone Nightflower 16mm eyes It's quite hard to position eyes in him... maybe it's just me.



All my dolls keep stealing this one pair of eyes, I think I need to order duplicates >_<

Oh, and regarding my posts in the previous thread, the competition prize arrived last night! It's always that way, you wait and wait and finally ask, and then it arrives shortly after x_X I thanked them profusely for their kindness

 

That is a very pretty color eye with his tan skin, Damasquerade I saw your sweet Belle in the other thread. She is a little darling. Congrats, again.

*u* And those eyes look lovely for your Dune, Damasquerade! I also have the same trouble positioning eyes in Dear Lover dolls as well. The head system makes it super easy to take on and off, but for me at least it makes positioning eyes a huge pain. Well more of a pain because I fail at positioning eyes.

o3o Speaking of eyes, I've come to realize that the only way I like Calliope's eyes positioned is looking up. I have an epic struggle with wide-open eyed dolls and positioning. ;_; Cynical/sleepy eyed dolls are so much easier~

Damasquerade, Soom Nightflower eyes really suit Dune! I've had a few pairs of eyes in Nightflower as as a luminous golden eye colour it does photograph so beautifully, and it looks perfect there next to your Dune's cocoa skin!And definitely not just you, Dear Lover eyes seem to be a massive pain to position just right! I've spent ages fiddling with both J.Jones' and Helena's eyes...drives me nuts, but then I get really picky about eye positioning in my dolls. It seems to be a little easier with larger eyes, but only a very little bit.

I also saw your gorgeous little Belle in the DP thread! Big congrats, she's gorgeous, you lucky thing you!

chibi-kagu, I love that pic! Miisu's dress is just gorgeous, one of the best dressed Catsys I've seen, and she looks so tiny & cute in Nelli's arms

shadow_catty, that picture of Colette is really gorgeous! I love the contrast of her soft gentle pinkness in contrast with those intense blue eyes of hers! Just beautiful!

And Arkelle, another gorgeous pic of Calliope there! She is definitely one of the most gorgeously unique and colourful Dear Lover girls out there!

I've been so exhausted from work that I didn't have the energy to post a pic earlier but here is my lovely lovely Lavender Priscilla:


Here she is with the eyes she came with and the lovely mohair wig I ordered from Dear Mine.
She arrived on the 14th and I opened her the next day which was my birthday, so it was perfect timing!^_^
I simply love her, what a pretty delicate feline!

I actually haven't been able to find any pictures of Priscilla without a face-up so mine is the first one I see, hehe. I love her face!

 

Wow that wig is beautiful on her Congrats on getting such a beautiful girl, and for your birthday to top it all off I cannot wait to see what you do for her face up

Also, on another note, could anyone show me a side comparison between a few minifee bust sizes, and the large and normal sized bust of the dear lovers ?

 

suruni, she is just gorgeous! Wow, the lavender resin really is beautiful, and contrasts beautifully with that gorgeous pink mohair wig! I am very excited to see what you do with her! Now I definitely wish I had the extra $$$ for one of these girls right now! Just blank as is she's gorgeous!

I agree with Anna; thank goodness I already have an Irene But I cannot wait to see what the fullset looks like. Perhaps they'll sell the outfit separate and I may like it But a new guy "Oscar" that sounds intriguing I do not love the name, but neither did I for Irene who is a beautiful sculpt so we'll see I also want to see this "cool" Dorothy. I know it'll look like the cool Korat, but it becomes another doll with the proper face-up I wonder what a "cool" look for some of the Lovers would look like Priscilla and Dune kind of have that look, but a cool Angela and Irene those might be cool

the summer event sound exciting i hope there is not something i really fall for since i have decided a doll stop. i shall move soon and will need the money for that plus i am not sure where i am two months from now.

 

Razzy, another gorgeous look for Katja there! Are those new eyes I spy or do they just look different in the lighting there?

Funny that you are pining over Dune as I am still pining over Angela and need to get a blank one to paint up as my cat Jonesy's "best friend" who keeps hanging around our house and trying to come through the front door, a similar looking and sized mostly white female kitty with red colour-point markings much like one of my old cats (my 1st pet cat I ever owned at ages 3-7 years old, actually, named "Barley corn" and who was 1/2 red point). I was thinking my Dune, Jonesy, would make a good partner for Helena, my Priscilla, but after he is painted up he is just going to look too different to her look, I think. I would rather get her a partner with a default Dearmine faceup so they'll look good together, hence I am looking forward to seeing how the new "creature claw" Oskar looks...whether he will have more human or anthro features. Either way I see he is being released in Pure White skin so there is hope he will have a compatible look

Oh I can't wait to see new releases on Dear mine, but still secretly hoping there's nothing that I would please me. Money are kinda tight and too much dolls right now.

Edit: Okay, I just went in DearMine's website and saw a prewiev of Oskar. Oh wow, looks stunning! Now I really can't wait the rest of pics! But Irene is still a mystery, so I'm curious. Looks like I'm gonne bee in trouble.

Agh, just saw teasers of both Irene and Oskar! He's so cool-looking, I love that scar. I'm curious to see what colorscheme they've chosen for them though, but I guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow!

I can't help but think of this guy though, when I look at Oskar, he reminded me so much of Wolf, lol.

Same here! Oskar's coming home here too. I feel sorry for anyone trying to get into the Dearmine site at the moment though...very glad I got in earlier but looks like very heavy site traffic at the moment

 

Currently editing some pics I took of Jonesy today (at last). Despite the fact he has a lovely black and white synthetic fibre wig from Angell-Studios, Jonesy decided that just wasn't for him, choosing instead one of my triple layer Phoenix Fire wigs I've been working on. I think this is much more him! Jonesy would rather be a Firey Flame Haired lion than a meek and mild house cat. However, he still just longs to go outside and play and climb trees like any other kitty would



Jonesy did finally get to go ouside in the evening, despite the fact that it got pretty bleak and grey here in Sydney this afternoon. Didn't stay out there long though...wind and fur wigs really don't mix that well at times.

I had quite some troubles with ordering mine today. I wanted to get him on layaway, but whenever I tried to complete the order, the PayPal payment site with full price was opening and without completing the payment, the order wasn't accepted. Together with the slowest internet connection I selected bank transfer later just to get my order accepted. Q&A was a pain too, with this slow connection, I think I spammed their board thanks some errors

 

Ugghh, Irene is stunning. That's just typical, isn't it. Oskar's a beauty too, but I love the DL girls so much...I'm afraid I won't be able to get home though, even though I'm dying to.
Congrats to everyone who got the dolls they wanted though, with all that traffic earlier on today I hope your orders went through

He is now going to be a Fire Lion and I plan to have him done up in lovely firey tones instead of my "Jonesy Mod" plans. It just suits his personality better, I think. Currently asking Andreja of Nicole's Dreams for a quote there as she does a brilliant job in those sorts of colour schemes.\

I saw the new Irene today and instantly ordered her. I hadn't planned on more dolls this summer, but I've always regretted that I didn't get the Secret Moon Irene, so I couldn't resist! Her face-up is perfect. I'm not sure about outfit, but maybe I'll like it in person.

 

Anna, yes he does seem to like it up there, not unlike my RL kitties who love our liquid amber out the front for the same reason - plenty of good high resting places!

FrigidDamsel, congrats! Oo, I hope you will post lots of pics of your girl when she arrives as I am sure she will be gorgeous! Irene looks so gorgeous in the white, and if I wasn't hanging to see what happens with the release of Diana's body then I'd be very tempted there too.

I'm just so excited at least I have my Oskar on the way! My boy will be a white arctic fox and I am thinking of naming him Eren (after Eren Jaeger) as the first thing that came to mind when I saw his outfit, especially the brown boot spats with the mostly white outfit with the little bolero style kind of jacketty part even if it is black and not brown, was my favourite of the newer current season's anime releases and a brilliant manga too - Shingeki no Kyojin. Mind you, there's a whole host of anime, manga, JPop & Games Graphic inspirations you could pull out of his overall look, just that shingeki no kyojin whas the first thing that came to mind for me

JenKat : I'll hopefully get some pictures of her! I was so busy the last time I got new dolls that I didn't take a single picture. I really hope she gets here before school starts! Oskar made me think of Final Fantasy for some reason, even though I don't know of any FF characters that look like him. If it weren't for Irene, I might've bought Oskar too. If he's still available in a few months, I'll be tempted.

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm assuming the ears and tail will attach with magnets? So, any wig and most clothes would work on her? The only other anthro I have has ears that attach with strings, but I believe I've read that Dear Mine's are magnetic.

Also, does anyone else think Dear Mine has some of the best face-ups ever? They're so much more colorful and unique than a lot of other companies.

FrigidDamsel, I would agree, Dearmine's face-ups are even more amazing to behold in person too! Every thing about them screams quality and beauty in detail.

 

I just noticed this, and I absolutely love his quirky half smile! And the ears were definitely one of his draws for me.

And can I chime in on the face ups. I know I only have a Dearpet so far, but Jin's face up was amazing when he arrived, even better (I personally believe) than I saw in the promos!
