DearMine Dear Pet, Classic 20cm & Beans 12cm Anthros Discussion Part 3

Jun 10, 2016

    1. Thank you! X3 I loved seeing your little Lorenz in the hoodie. The fabric is 'sherpa lamb' fabric, I actually have quite a bit of it from making stuffed animals. I'd like to try making different colored jackets with it :D

It's unfortunate about shipping - guess we just have to buy dolls from them to make it worth it, lol! *cryhole, my wallet, though.*

    2. Love your rose Bean! Those jewel eyes look great for him. I agree, Dearmine's clothing is just beautifully made. The Beans are very hard to fit in ready-made. Most all mine have come from artists sewing here on DoA. Your tiny fox is just adorable!! I've never seen him before.

    3. Thank you! It's a Cocoriang Niya. The quality of their dolls and faceups is impeccable, I have 3 and one more on the way :D

I'm curious about what Lincoln will look like! And my wallet hopes I won't like him :sweat

      Here's 2 more pics!
I picked a name for him~ Rose Chai :whee:

    5. Aw, Bean toebeans!!

    6. I checked and it looks like Lincoln is available, for anyone who wanted the set; it took some serious back and forth but I think ultimately I'm going to pass. I really love the makeup this time around and the outfit is fantastic, but when you put them together... I think I would've liked the outfit more on Picasso, maybe?

That and I think if (or should I say when?) I give in to an unexpected purchase I'm going to get the summer Lorenz to go with my existing one. They're quite different, but my mind says they'll be cute together in an opposites kind of way.

    7. Oh, darn! I’ve wanted a Lincoln, and love everything about this release, but the price is too high for me. I understand this is a very limited special release for the price. I do hope someone on here can get one. I’d love to see more pictures.

    8. I went back and forth for a while, but finally succumbed to getting the Lincoln.
I love their faceup so much, and I have enough Beans at this point that someone can make use of that outfit eventually, or I may sell it separately if someone here really wants it.

Doing the old 'load up the Cart to see how many are left' trick shows there are three Lincolns left, so only one other person has gotten him so far.

    9. Anyone know how bad the fullset wait times are right now?
For these limited drops? On the site it says 60-80 days, but I wasn’t sure if that’s accurate. I know a lot of companies are behind.

    10. They're pretty consistently around 4 months, in my experience.

      • x 2
    11. The last fullset I got was shipped around 3.5 months, I think, though that was a while ago. I don't think Dearmine has been any more behind than normal, or at least if they are I haven't heard of it.

    12. Aww they are so cute, makes me want to have a tiny baby like this :D

    13. They are dangerously addictive! :D

    14. Dearmine's Facebook page has a photo of the new Companion Salt doll, and am I in love!! I hope she comes in that adorable outfit.

    15. Oh, my. Not a fan of the bonnet, but I do hope I am able to get one of her.

    16. She would make a good friend for my boy Salt! I could get some more cute Ob11 clothes for her too.... tempting.

    17. Still 17 barista Agrippa up on the site

    18. I just want that outfit from Salt!

    19. I ordered Salt this morning with the fancy eyes! So excited, now to wait for months. :XD: I've already ordered her some stuff from Ninimal.

      • x 1
    20. What is Ninimal?

    21. Jumping in since I actually mentioned them in an OT thread the other day, funnily enough, but they're a clothes shop generally tailored to smaller OT dolls i.e. OB11. I can definitely see some of their selection working for Salt too. Their site is here: NINIMAL doll clothes shop

      • x 2
    22. My own Salt has a couple pieces from them, my only issue is that some slacks for Ob11 can be on the tight side, but he generally fits everything else.

    23. Yes, Ninimal works great for the Companions. I have loads of pieces. I generally order the long-leg pant and get a good fit. Some pieces I've bought elsewhere for OB11 neglect to mention that the head has to be removed to get a shirt on. Also, hoodies and hats won't fit, of course. This is from Ninimal: [IMG] Except the booties.

    24. Oooo! Owner photo of the basic Salt!
I was waffling hard on the Dream Cat version. I love the resin color, but the faceup is a little plain (nose not colored, no striping) ... so I was thinking about maybe getting the basic one instead as it seems it might pair batter with my 2019 Spring Salt. Still, that resin color is tempting.....

    25. I wish the Salt came in a girl body too. Also thank you for the link to that store!

    26. An even tinier body than Beans incoming? :o

    27. Oh, that new body is so cute! Definitely OT, but I really do like it.

    28. The more I look, the better I like the cat! Completely utterly adorable.

    29. They are so nice. I kind of hoped for more articulation but I still adore them.

    30. I had an Agrippa a few years back, but sold it. Was happy to order him again.

    31. I've been eyeing the little Picasso's for a while and finally snagged one secondhand. It will hopefully be shipping Monday but I don't know how long it'll take since different county. But nonetheless I am excited! I specifically snagged one of these little ones. I believe this one is a Bean? It's the 12cm one and I'm still figuring out the terms. Her name will be Matcha and unfortunately she doesn't have her fullset outfit. Going to be digging through here to see what kinds of clothing people have on their little ones.

Does anyone happen to know if Kelly doll clothes are a good fit?

Edit; Just realized that some of the clothing on the website for these little ones is actually in stock! But EMS for a $20 set is $36. :...(

    33. My bean arrived! This is Matcha. She has some chipping on her blushing that I already knew about. I switched out her fullset eyes because frankly they were a bit creepy. I adore her. Awaiting an outfit I ordered for her as well. <3

    34. She's really beautiful! Is that her fullest makeup? I love her ear decoration, too. (fish or oak leaf). The Beans are such adorable pocket-size cuties

    35. @sistercuervo
Fullset makeup and it's supposed to be a goldfish on her ear. When I try to fix the blushing I may add an eye to it to make it more clear. So far I really love how tiny she is. Single jointing isn't my favorite but on such a small scale it's not much of an issue personally.

    36. Gosh that's adorable! I wish more of these guys were around, and that they would release a female body someday.

    37. Hello!
I can't believe I've never paid attention to Dearmine until yesterday. Their dolls are wonderful!
I've seen a lot of beans in this thread, and they are extremely cute :whee: but the bigger ones seems nice too.
Which one do you guys like the most? What size do you reccomend?

    38. I have several Dearmine in different sizes. I would say, go with what you are most comfortable with. If you have other dolls in the general size, they might be able to share clothing, etc. My DL's share clothes with my slim mini's; the DP are pretty much a size by themselves, but are very poseable; DB is a bit top heavy, but the new body looks like it solves that problem. I can't pick a favorite. Just go for it.

    39. Oh wow, thanks for sharing! Or on behalf of my wallet, maybe not. I'd probably own an army of beans by now if they weren't so impossibly wobbly on their ridiculously teeny feet...but now I see a lot more of them in my future...

    40. Super excited for the new beans actually >_>

    41. I’m up to four beans now. I thought just having one would be adequate, but no, who am I kidding? They are so small and adorable!

    42. They multiply rapidly; I speak from experience. xD

    44. So cute! I kinda wish I had been able to get one in brown to go with my other Salt. I will have to be content with seeing your photos. :)

    45. Ah, I love them! I had to struggle a lot not to get one, the timing was just bad.
      Maybe next time!

    46. I just bought my first bean:). Dollyteria suddenly had a Lupin bean in stock for a very nice price so I pounced^^. I already have a Classic Lupin (encore ver.), now I'll have the bean version too. I'm really hoping I can find another Classic Lupin some day though, my Humphrey needs his wife;).

    47. Lucky!

I never knew they came in bean size! Can you post a pic when they arrive?

Does anyone else have a bean LUPIN that they can put next to a regular one? I'd love to see the size difference. :XD:

    48. Little Lupin is here already O.O. Barely 5 days including a weekend through DHL Express, color me impressed. He's so cute^^. Needs a restring, but that was to be expected with a 4 year old, secondhand doll.

And as promised a pic with bean Lupin next to classic Lupin^^. Classic Lupin's dress is the Halloween Witch dress that I found on Mandarake from the 2016 Dollism Plus Tokyo Picasso cool ver.

    49. How cute are they! I love them together in their outfits :love

    50. Oh wow, he's seriously cute in the bean size! It's a lot of fun to see the two different sizes together too, they certainly make an interesting pair :D (Also yay for super speedy delivery!)

    51. OMG...incredibly cute! Love the way he's hanging onto your thumb. :D

    52. Oh he's adorable, congratulations!

      Look Ma! No Stands!

I picked up the new Dear Mine Dear Bean Body version 2 for my little Oz Bean here along with the bee outfit.

The new body finally provides beans with the ability to stand up without the use of a stand or leaning against something. The knee and ankle joints are greatly improved. The legs no longer kind of wobble around under clothes.

The elbow joints are also improved and now have a ledge to lock them at either straight or 90 degrees. They'll hold other poses sometimes too basically typical of how I feel about most strung dolls. I'll probably still wire them as I like arms to easily stay at any angle.

It's so nice to have him stand on his own though. That was by far the Dear Bean's biggest weakness to me. The new ankles are really stable so it's just a matter of adjusting them to get the balance right. It's actually pretty easy on a hard surface but I don't see any success on carpet or the like. I even had a very hard time getting it to stand on something with the give of a typical mouse pad feel although I did manage it. I wouldn't expect a lot of dynamic poses either. That big head is still a lot of weight for such tiny feet.

Some caution to anyone looking to upgrade. Right now they're only selling the upgrades in the cat body. I don't think you could get the new body and swap for the dragon/axolotl/bat claws or sheep hooves and still have it stand as I don't think you'd get the great ankle fit. Also the butt sculpt has changed slightly so old tails don't quite fit right. They'll hang on but there's some gaps. Not an issue if your bean is wearing clothes though.

Just figured people here might be interested in reading about the new body.

    54. Thank you for sharing a review! I'm looking forward to my (inevitable) future Beans having this new body. :XD:

    55. Thanks for the info and review @scripple. I was curious how the new body differed from the old so it's really helpful :)
