~20cm Dolls Dearmine Bean Chopin Spring 2024 box opening (featuring Gem of Doll Orion)

So, after refusing to let myself buy any bjd's for many, many years, I finally let myself do it this year. I may have gone a little overboard... Apologizing in advance but I have several more of these threads to make! (4 more to be exact).
And I'd like to post all the dolls that came in this year this year, even if it is late. Chopin Bean arrived in July, I ordered in stock from Denver Doll Emporium.

Today is Chopin Spring 2024 from Dearmine, another full set!
She's a little dragon bean with a gorgeous faceup and a very pretty outfit. I'm thinking of calling her Shopanna. It's similar to her sculpt name if you say it out loud.

This is her box. It's quite small. My 1/4 Orion is here for scale and to help with the unboxing:

In their backstories, Shopanna is Orion's adopted daughter. She came in this very cute bag instead of foam wrap! Probably great for bringing her out for adventures!


She is a really nice size next to him. And their white resins match well too.


And here she is with all her clothes on and eyes in!

I will say her eyes were very tricky to get in. Here's a closer look at them, they have flowers in them like a meadow


She's very warm and spring colored next to Orion's blue and winter colors. It's an interesting combination.


And here she is with her hair on! It sparkles!


I really love the blushing dearmine did for her face. She has no blushing anywhere else, but clothes cover most of that up.


Little bit of possible backstory:

I kept Orion's backstory from the company sort of intact- he is a sheriff in the far north where it snows. Cold can be cruel, but bandits more so, and when Orion got to the scene of the latest attack on the travelers only Shopanna was left alive, and of course she was too young to survive on her own. So he took her in, and she manages to be very active in his life and very spoiled. Her name combines her sculpt name with Anne of Green Gables, a famous orphan.
