Well I can help with the Riko spam! I have two Rikos, one the zombie grey limited 'Caterpillar' and the second a NS one.

 

Plus my Cheshire Cat came in!! She is a Hexad, just not the tiny one. ^-^

Edit:: Has anyone else seen her new update? I am really excited about the 2nd edition of the chapter one dolls. I was really sad when I realized that there were only two White Rabbits and I would really like one since I now have both the Caterpillar and the Cheshire Cat, and now I may be able to get one!! I am also looking forward to her mad tea party chapter four dolls.

Wow - I've actually never seen a Lotus Near with his 'human' option arms in! I can't wait to see pictures. I've only ever seen them with the 8 arms on, because, well, I thought that's why one buys a Lotus. ^^ At least, it does enable them to win the Intergalactic Pattycake Semifinals.

They are terribly addictive, indeed, and I too would love to have one of each color/edition. But I consider myself lucky to have just two. Which one did you get? Some of those outfits are srsly complicated.

1:6 scale weapons are the easiest to find (way easier than 1:3)! I'd start on eBay. There are sellers who do nothing BUT scifi or WWII weapons/accessories for 1:6. It's action-figure scale.

Has anyone found any pre-made clothing that fits the 24cm girls? I haven't had much luck with Blythe or Pullip stuff, and YoSD sized clothes are far too big.

You might try Sadol. (esadol.com) I think they make almost anything in their catalogue in a Yo-SD size, and it looks like they use a non-Volks doll as their fit-model. Shopping note: Sadol's abbreviation for YoSD is "USD", so don't get it confused with US Dollar. ^^

The only non-default clothes my Lotuses have are a pair of vests from Sadol - not very tailored, but they fit him fine without falling off. I see what you mean about Volks Yo-sized clothes though. Lotus is a boy, but I think his body size/shape is probably about the same as the 24cm girls'.... I've put him next to a Volks YoSD girl, and they were about the same height, but compared to him, she was built like a professional wrestler. Those Volks kids are burly! So I guess their clothes would be pretty big.

 

I've actually never tried any other clothing on either of my girls. >>; I love their default outfits so much, I never felt the need to try. I will have to see if anything else I have fits them, but I don't really have much in the way of YoSD size clothing anyway.

Whoo! DD-Anne just posted a notice about the Chapter 4 dolls in the news section. I cannot WAIT to see her photoshoot of them with all that mini food she's been making!

 

Seriously, she's put so much work into this and it's going to be amazing.

I've been looking forward to the C4 dolls for a while now and I'm starting to worry. XD I've long planned on getting three of DD-Anne's zombie-colour dolls and I already have a character ready and waiting for the last of my power trio. March Hare would definitely be the best candidate to fill the roll, but... I really want the others, too. >>; They're all so lovely, decision-making will not be easy.

Then again, it's probably going to be a financial stretch for me to even bring home the Hare, so I really shouldn't be worrying about how much I want them all. >>;

 

I'm excited about the Chapter 4 dolls too! I've been looking forward to them ever since she announced what they'd be in the article last year. I have been planning to get the Hare and Hatter from the beginning (as I want all the characters - not any of the Alice's since I have the Pipos Dark Alice for my Alice, but all the other characters) but I am worried now since the actual timing of the release couldn't be worse. They are so adorable though!! If there is anyway possible, I will try and go through with my plan to bring home the Hare and Hatter! >_< I think tomorrow is the official release date right? Do we know yet if they are quantity limited or time-frame limited?

 

I haven't seen anything yet, but I expect they'll be limited by quantity rather than time, since that's how she usually does it.

Speaking of which, I was shocked to see that C1V2 White Rabbit is still available for order! I can't believe they didn't vanish right away. It gives me hope that I might be able to manage at least a Hare. Had some bad news today and I don't know if I'll be in a position to order even the one any time soon, but I'll be hoping.

 

I know, I've been kinda keeping an eye on the White Rabbit since I wasn't able to afford one when she released them at the beginning of the year. I was kind of thinking about trying to order her with the Hare and Hatter when they were finally released if she was still available, but now my finances have deteriorated again so I don't know if I will be able to. If I could, then I would have all the zombie characters released thus far since I have the Caterpillar and Cheshire. Like you, I am hoping to at least get the Hare if worse comes to worse. ^-^

 

I don't know wether to be happy or sad at the delay of the release... in one respect, it gives me more time to get funds together but then, I was so looking forward to seeing them all done too! Oh well, I suppose a few more days wont kill me! ^-^

Can I join this thread? I just got back from Think Pink (had a lovely visit) and a tiny Neare managed to catch my eye... He was sad, wearing nothing but a bit of gauze bandage, and missing the tip of one ear... I felt sorry for him, so I took him home with me. LOL!



He came with the cutest little toy, too.


(OK, I admit,I actually knew he was in stock before - and I now regret not buying him when he still had two intact ears...)

Whee I just ordered my first DD-Anne girl!

Without a clear shopping cart and immediate payment system, I'm a little concerned at the moment as to whether or not my order actually went through, or if 13 people somehow managed to get in before me - I'd ordered within a minute of them going on sale so, I hope not!

Going to assume all is well though and that I have a March Hare - with full blushing, the lollipop and a fully painted chair for her to sit on - coming home!

 

I placed my first order also! For Alice and Mad Hatter. I've been counting down the days! Keeping fingers crossed!

I really wanted to order all 3, or at least March Hare and Mad Hatter, but alas, it's going to be hard enough to justify buying ONE right now let alone 2!

Does anyone have any experience with how long it takes to find out if your order definitely went through?
None of them are marked as sold out yet, but something makes me think they MAY HAVE and the site just hasn't been updated with the info. Nerve wracking indeed! ^-^;;

 

If so, she'll probably update it tonight when she sends out the invoices. They probably aren't sold out yet though. I've also ordered a march hare to add to my underland collection. Hopefully ill be able to get the hatter too but just the hare for now.

 

Sounds like we're in the same position then Zelinas! Both wanting the same 2 but only be able to go for the March Hare for now.
I do hope we can get the Hatter down the line too!!

I actually want to get the White Rabbit too! Have been drooling over her since she was released, and can't believe she is STILL available.

Yeah, i know what you mean! I have both the caterpillar and Cheshire and with my march hare order i just need the hatter and the white rabbit ti be caught up before the next chapter.

 

Getting to see the whole finished Mad Tea Party at long last, what a treat! Did anybody order the set of all 3 (with the free shipping offer)? If I were ordering one, I doubt I could avoid having all three, with every single bell and whistle and exra accessory-- the whole opus is just so great of-a-piece, I would want the whole enchilada.

Anne is so effing amazing. I have no idea how she does all of this... this everything. I think the only thing she didn't do by hand herself is, what, the hair-nets that her mom crocheted? Oh, OK, she didn't grind the pigments to make her own paint, or manufacture the plastic wig-fibers by herself, but that's about it. Just thinking about sculpting the tufting on the furniture, and cutting the leather tassels on those tiny shoes, makes my head spin. If this project were masterminded by lazy old me, I totally would have outsourced the shoes to Dollheart, then just raised the price forty bucks. xD

 

Yay my March Hare is paid for so all is well and my order has gone through!

It's just like you say though, I'd start to want EVERYTHING!
Like, I had to get a chair for my girl to sit on. If I get a second doll, I'll need a second chair. And if I have 2 dolls, I'm going to start wanting the table. If I have the table, I'm going to start wanting the tea set and all the cakes and sweets!
.... before you know it, I'd have ordered the lot xD

As it stands, I'm now sat here trying to work out how to make back the money I just spent on ONE of them so I can eat next month!

I really wish I could have ordered all 3. >_< As it is, just ordered March Hare this morning. I'm still waiting on confirmation, but fingers are crossed that I've got her.

I'd have loved to order all 3, but money. I also had specific character plans in mind for a trio of zombie-skinned girls and I only needed one more. On the other hand, I could totally get away with an Alice because I wouldn't feel like she had to be connected to the others. >> If there's still one available next month, I'll probably cave.

They're all just gorgeous, though. And I would have loved to get a table & chair set... *-*; ...So broke.

I'm also worried about the possible 6 month waiting period. Does anyone have any experience with ordering from DD-Anne? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for now~

My Cheshire did take very close to 6 months -- ordered 2/25/11, arrived 8/9/11. She was the first doll I ever ordered, but several others arrived first. XD

I really didn't mind the wait, though. First, because she was absolutely worth it. Second, because DD-Anne is fantastic. She posted progress pictures very regularly on her Flickr account to show where she was at, what she had done so far... Compared to most companies where you've got no idea what's going on or where they're at, I actually found the wait quite a bit easier. It was really exciting to see how they were all coming together, bit by bit.

 

You already have your invoice Midnitestar?? I am worried now, Marc Hare seems so popular and even thoug i placed my order quick, like at least within 10 minutes of opening, i don't feel at all certain that i have got her. Especially if some invoices have already gone out, as i haven't received anything yet.

 

She posted a note on her site saying all ordera have gone through it will just take time to send all the invoices.

Due to work, I wasn't able to place my order until a few hours after opening and I was also starting to get worried about March Hare's popularity. XD

 

Yep, my invoice came through within 3 hours of them going on sale.

However, I wouldn't worry!
For one, there's a note on her site saying that all the orders went though.
On top of that, I'm pretty sure mine was the very first order! 13 dolls seemed so few, and I'm used to RosenLied releases where if you are not there at the exact time of release and are a little too slow with the mouse, you are NOT getting the doll you want.
So I went into this expecting them to sell out FAST and had clicked order about a minute into them going on sale!

So yes, I suspect the invoicing takes time and I was just first in the queue!

Did almost everyone order March Hare at this point? Looks like she'll be the one to sell out first!

 

Both my Lotuses took about that long, too! And that was years ago. The first one (he was the 2nd edition) might've taken even longer than 6 months-- she had to scrap the original design plan when dark-tan resin failed too much, so she redesigned him in white. But, since I could watch the whole thing on her website, I always knew exactly where my doll was (or parts thereof ^^).

It was like getting to watch them be born! And, it made me appreciate what it actually takes to create one of these incredible dolls. I love when she posts pics of the trays of heads, or the ghostly little casting-tanks with body parts coolinng in them, or my favorite blog pic ever was the huge pile of sandpaper that was required to sand 1 Lotus Near. XD She always keeps you updated, and her communications are always so nice.

So don't worry about the 6-month wait estimate.... the last thing you want is for her to rush the job, right? You can't hurry exquisiteness. :

 

Just got my invoice and paid my first installment. >_< Even for one doll I had to use layaway. But super excited that my trio will finally be complete!

Is it awful that Alice, who was at the bottom of my want list due to my need for zombie skin, looks really appealing today? Eeeek! Why do I want all 3?!?!

My lil zombie finally got a faceup after waiting for a couple yrs.

Oh I am so relieved that the March Hare sold out, she was tempting me oh so very much, but my first pick was the Hatter, and I had to have the table and chairs, so I truly had nothing to spare for her, though I'm afraid I may have tried if given too much leeway. I am glad the decision is taken from my hands! Though a twinge sad too of course, she is gorgeous. Big Congrats to all those who ordered her, and I am so thankful there are already so many lovely photos of her online from the Ch 4 photoshoot (: They should be made into prints!!
I think this will be one of the lovelier doll wait times as there are all those progress photos, I've watched all the other chapters as well and am beside myself that I will finally have a doll from dd anne.

She felt the need to protect herself so she snagged a weapon incase
those scary living creatures try to hurt her while she is out for dinner.

As you can see she now has hair and she is just waiting on her lil knit black dress and her shose to arrive ^^
She is tired of her old pilgrim outfit, and feels it is time for a change. ^^

 

What a cute little zombie avenger! Maybe she needs a zombie boyfriend to protect her when they go out roaming the streets uptown for gourmet brain dinners.

Yes, he's a Tiny Neare. His outfit is for Mattel's Tommy, but it's just perfect for my 10 cm tinies. I'm addicted to buying Kelly and Tommy clothes for Ricky and his small friends...

Well, I have some good news I'd like to share, I just a got a message saying that my Green Dam Mero girl I put on layaway a fews months back has been shipped! I should get her on Thursday, so excited!! I will update with a pic when she arrives! ^-^

 

Oh wow, congratulations! I remember when Anne was making those Green Dam Girls... there sure weren't too many of those made, were there.
(Did you find one with the full makeup & outfit & bunny friend & everything?)

I love the way Anne uses these doll-designs to say things about censorship, in an oblique way... when she announced the Green Dam concepts, I had to go google it, and I thought what a quirky twist she gave to the whole nanny-software thing. And just today, her blog post is a picture of the new sleeping Alice with the seeing-eye blindfold on... apparently, the Powers That Be have disabled all the proxies to access Facebook and Twitter, and she is right mad about it.

 

Well, she is an ALMOST full set. No bunny friend though. The thread listed that she is missing a white undershirt from her otherwise full set outfit and the most disappointing factor is that she doesn't have the beautiful default face-up anymore... but as you said, not many were made so chance of finding a full set with the default face up is slim. I am amazed I found one at all since she has been on my wish list since I first discovered her! Do you remember how many were made by chance?

I saw DD-Anne's post today too and it about made me sick that a government can do that.

 

Aww, well, it is still a coup that you managed to find her at all, in any condition! That deserves a Happy Shopping Karma Dance!

Shame about the faceup, though, it was amazing. Perhaps you can paint or commission a facsimile with those great colors. I loved the acid-green eyeshadow on her eerie sad eyes.

I think she was limited by order-period, which was only 1 month... I don't know how many of her there ended up being.

I know, right? - we get so used to communicating with anybody we want, anywhere in the world, sometimes it's easy to forget that any of our governments could clamp down on the internet at any minute. Sobering. :X (Still, they must know it's a losing battle... cyberspace is just too big to control... I mean, the Iron Curtain was brought down by bluejeans & rock'n'roll, and that was before the internet!)

 

dd Anne's dolls are so beautiful, I only wish I had learned of them sooner so I could have snagged a white rabbit while she was still available...! I don't imagine the Alice in Wonderland dolls go for sale secondhand very often u_u For now I will just look at all the pretty pictures of her and sigh

 

I agree, very good karma! ^-^ I am going to look around and see if I can find someone to redo it and have it similar to what it was (I think I may see if I can have some little butterflies or dragonflies added though to kind of match the style of my Caterpillar's faceup too).

Pawsitive, just keep an eye out or post a WTB for her. I didn't think I would be able to find a Caterpillar as I found out about them several months after the order period but then I was able to snag her on the MP. ^-^ In fact, I have seen a white rabbit on there before, so you may get lucky! I think I must have snagged one of the last ones of the white rabbit, because as of september when ch.4 came out there were still some available so I ordered one with my March Hare but when I just went to look they said sold out now.
