I did basic patterns for Doll Chateau K-07/K-11 body, and I am glad to share these with you. Trousers Shirt Both links go to my dA-site, where the patterns can be downloaded. ^^ Happy modifying and sewing!
Thank you so much for this! It means I can make some clothes for Isabel before she arrives (even though I'm in for a loooooonnngggg wait lol)
Awesome, thanks! There's so little out there for these bodies. Do you have any pictures of these sewn up on a doll? I'd love to see how they look
I have test-versions, so I can post pictures later. But I have to warn you: as a basic patterns, these are just as simplified as possible.
Ok. Test version photo. (From front and back.) On these trouser legs and sleeves of the shirt are not fully long (as I had only scraps to do it).
So when I print it do I just print it out as it is or do I have to adjust settings? Thank you so much for sharing with the rest of us!!
GenGen: I think they'll not fit the male body, as these are done to specially to female body. Hips will be too wide and shoulders too narrow. Sorry. ^^;
Reslie: yeah, there is no seam allowances in the pattern. And feel free to ask if you need more info!
I figured that I needed to add the seam allowance. I am not a seamstress at all I make quilts and other things like that. Thank you for your answers . I am going to cut out the fabric and see what happens.
If I ever get a male DC doll, I can do similar set for him, too. ^^ But at the moment I have no plans to buy one in future - so it might be a really long wait. XD
I tried it and the patterns fit.. I am horrible at sewing and need to do it again.. But it's a great pattern. Thanks!
Passed the pattern on to my gram to help teach me to sew so my agatha will have some clothes that fit. Thanks for the pattern so much!
I made some clothes based on these patterns but they turned out kind of strange. The pants appear way too small to fit on a doll whose hips are supposed to be bigger than her shoulders.... I do not have the actual doll to check them on so I'm very uncertain about the fit... Did I do it wrong? I am not a beginning seamstress, so I thought I had it right...
Rosslyn, As this is only basic pattern, there is no marked placements for "zipper" or anything similar to open/close pants, but the pattern needs one - you are right there. So I recommend to you add snaps/buttons/actual zipper/any other means to open and close pants to center front seam (center back or either side could work as well, but in CF they are more realisticly placed). I have been planning to do updated versions of there (as the shirt doesn't work as well as I hoped) so when I get the 2.0 versions done, I can add closure-placements to them. And if you had something more to ask, PM me and I'll be happy to help you out.
I did add a button fly to the front, and that works well enough, but I just meant the overall size of the pants is very small compared to the size of the shirt when I made them, and in your pictures the top is a lot smaller than the pants, because this doll's torso is tiny and the hips are huge.
@Rosslyn, Half of the pants should be 13,5cm on crotch line of the pattern (third line from top), so if your pattern differs from that the error is in printing.
Nice job! I'm glad your test fabric just happened to be 'wild,' now it's got me thinking of all sorts of Picasso-esque and carnival costumes.
I think I got it right, it just looks so odd to me probably because this doll just has odd proportions. Thanks though.
I promised 2.0 version of these a small eternity ago. And now I have finally done them. New patterns have added seam allowances and button/snap flies. I also did trouser pattern on two parts for easier scanning and printing. Shirt Trousers, part 1 Trousers, part 2 Have fun!
Hi. How do we download these patterns? Cant print directly from the site as the pattern does not print. Can anyone please help?
