Dawn's a blond? (Serendipity Alice) PG13

    1. Dawnie: Something happened to my Mommy yesterday. I'm oksy, but she's still really upset. She started making me into a punk so nobody would ever hurt me again. But then we thought about it and wearing different clothes didn't make the ManBeast go away, so it probably wouldn't make the Bad People go away, either.

      You want to know what happened? We went to a doll show in Maryland and saw an El and Isao (but that's not the point). They were very good looking. My Mama wants a girl next, though. She really likes the Petite AIs.

      So we were holding the El--well, my Mama was--and some lady asked if she could hold me. So my Mommy said okay and wasn't really worried or anything.

      Anyway, then the old lady started looking up my skirt! And my underwear was stuck in my joints and the lady pulled at it to see my butt and private parts and ripped the underwear totally up! The old woman said something about wanting to see about me being anatomically correct said then she said there was something wrong with my underwear and asked Mommy what was wrong with my underwear?!! And Mommy took me back from that old lady.

      Mommy was really mad at that lady--furious. She said (to me--not to the old lady) that it felt like someone molested her baby. The old lady was upset that Mommy took me back and gave Mommy the evil eye! But Mommy was raging mad and told the lady she had to fix my underwear and tie my shoes. Mommy never gave me back to the lady... she just fixed me a bit and we left.

      Mommy said she never wants anyone she doesn't know or trust to ever touch me again. She threw away the entire outfit I wore yesterday except for the sneakers. She threw away my purple long-sleeve top, plaid pleated skirt, black underwear, and long hooded coat. Mom needs to get rid of them because they're tainted. Mommy also took off my hair. Now it's got bad energy in it, too. She didn't throw it away, but I'm sitting here bald.

      So we attached some mohair to my velcro and put a hat on top. I think it's pretty cute. Mommy said she'll buy me some wigs at the end of the month when she gets new money.

    3. She is very cute as a blonde! I'm sorry this happened to our sweet little Dawn. I'd be furious, too. I already plan to make people Purell their hands before letting them touch my doll, and to ask them politely if they'd ever handled a BJD before (hint hint, be gentle and careful!!). That lady was some jerk. :x

      That woman was being gross and disgustingly RUDE. >.<

      Even if she had permission to (gently!!) hold your doll, that is NOT permission to poke and prod and defile. >.< If she wants to know about "anatomical correctness", the proper thing of course would be to ask you if it's so. It's even rather pushy to request to see it (especially since she is not someone you know); in her position she should hint at her interest and hopefully someone might offer to satisfy her curiousity.

      People like that are the same who mess with people's kids' hair without permission, stick their hands and faces at dogs they don't know (terrorizing some dogs, and they might bite in fear!), etc. They are a pox.

      I'm appalled for you. Poor Dawn.

      (I would've done a cleansing ritual on the non-damaged doll clothes, but that's me...)

    8. I think she looks gorgeous as a blonde, and I'm so sorry that lady molested her. How terrible is that?! I would be fuming mad too. I probably would have said a few choice words or something, but that's just me.

      I hope you can get her some replacement clothes soon. :(

    9. Aha! Thanks for this thread! I've had a love/hate relationship with serendipity, and I have finally figured out what is behind it... I hate sharmin and alice in bangs, She has such a pretty forehead! She looks so gorgeous with curly hair. You are making me want one!

    10. Ohhh... Dawn looks SOOO beautiful in her new hair!! OMG I love her like this!!! She looks gorgeous as a blonde. WOW!

      I think that lady was very mean, and if I had been there, I would have hit that old lady with my purse! That was really unkind. I think Dawn will be okay, she knows she is very safe with you. :grin:

    11. Ugh, how horrible! I can understand getting rid of those clothes, you'd constantly be thinking of that time otherwise. How unbelievably rude, I can't get over it!

      On the plus side, Dawn really does look good with blond curls!!

    12. AMEN. I absolutely hate people who are overly, uh, 'forward' like that. They just have no respect or decorum. Gotta wonder what the heck goes on in their minds [I guess the easiest answer to that one is 'Not enough', heh]

      Vox: So sorry you and your beautiful little doll had to experience that awful, filthy, old woman. My only advice would be to turn it around and use it to create a positive experience--i.e., buy your girl new treats and pretty things to make her feel better, and that will give you something to look forward to and to share with her :grin: And to look on the bright side a bit more, you've learned not to let others touch your doll through an experience that [though no doubt very disturbing!] did not involve your doll being harmed or broken... And now your knowing strangers can't be trusted to handle her will keep her safe from ever being really harmed by someone mishandling her.
      Hope you can feel better soon, and your doll is very beatiful! :grin:

      As a white sorceress, I will take the clothes and the wig, put them together in a white clothes bag, put them under the light of the moon during a full moon and then the bad vibrations will be erased...

      Keeping this bad mood around you will not be safe for both you and Dawn's mood! Cheer up and put this experience away. great that you spoke about here! that's like an exocism.

    15. That person sounds rather rude. Lots of people think of the dolls simply as art objects though and treat them accordingly. Maybe if you're not sure what someone's attitude is towards dolls, you could say something like, 'Dawnie doesn't mind if you hold her, but we'd like you to be gentle with her....' so they understand how precious she is to you.

      At the same time, if anyone is considering throwing out SD-sized clothes for similar reasons, Ichigo and I would be willing to take them off your hands. ^-^;;

      alsma--the show was at the montgomery co fairgrounds.

    17. aww shes so cute i wish i got to of seen her in person at the doll show.

      yeah maybe it was the same lady who asked my friend christin if she glued hair to her dolls privates... heh another one squeezed her dolls boobs cause they are so soft.
