Ordering Darak-i?

Does anyone know if Darak-i is active as a company currently? It looks like they haven't answered any English Q&A since early 2021 and the last news post was in Feb 2020 (right around coronavirus time)

The ordering options are a bit confusing as well. Some full dolls are available in standard colors, however there are some bodies with no compatible head and some heads but no compatible body also. For example, they offer the Remy body in any color but the matching head can only be ordered in normal or white. I'm wondering if they follow release schedules for full dolls.

If they are active or if anyone has ordered from them before, I'd love to hear your experiences!

 

Thank you for sharing your ordering experience! It's super helpful, I didn't think to email them. Do you remember about how long the wait time was for either of the dolls you ordered?

 

Update for anyone curious: I emailed a week ago and haven't heard back in my inbox/spam folder

I emailed in English however... Maybe it's easier for them to answer Korean

 

Sadly I never got a reply.... I checked the Korean Q&A board and it seems the administrator last answered March 23, 2022. However, there are quite a few questions unanswered asking about orders. Maybe they're still active but just really behind/slow to answer.

I keep checking back because I would die for a tan Remy

 

Very interesting that they are on Etsy. It's shame they were vague though

Today I looked at their Instagram account for the first time. In their bio, there is a link to the darak-i.com website and also another website, www.macarondolls.com. I discovered that url is the Korean site. The English site is here: Macaron Dolls

I thought it was maybe a distributor, however it looks like the same dolls as the darak-i.com website. Perhaps they are changing their brand or upgrading the site?

Most surprisingly is that tan Remy is available to add to cart (only on the English site). I don't know if that's an error or not, but since they accept Paypal I'm going to try ordering and will report back

 

Update on my attempt to order:
I placed the order on the English Macaron Dolls site on 6/17. The site is set up to pay by Wire Transfer by default, which I didn't want to do since I didn't know if they were active and didn't know if I could get my money back if there were any issues.

I noticed they had their Paypal address listed in the footer of the site, so I wrote "Pay by Paypal" in the order and sent the payment with my order # in the Reference. By default, the order status was set to "Awaiting Payment"

Every few days, I log in to see if they updated my order status to "Payment Received" As of today, it still says "Awaiting Payment". I went on their Instagram which they are still actively updating and left a comment in Korean asking if they received my Paypal payment for my order # but received no reply.

Since it doesn't seem like they are active/responsive, I'm going to take steps to reverse the Paypal payment and consider them as a defunct company
