Darak Doll 40cm Mini Discussion Part 1

I think Semi is really beautiful, too bad the ordering period is over.

 

The body is really captivating, especially the movable version. So full of harmony. Thanks for pointing them out, I had not heard about them before. Be sure to show your girl and tell us all about her when you get her!^^

 

Seems to be too late for these girls. I wonder if the company will offer more dolls in the future. I like the body a lot, it has a nice natural pear shape and looks pretty posable.

 

Oh wow, I wish I had known about this company when these girls were available, they are both gorgeous. It looks like they came with a lot of cool extra stuff too

 

I heard that Darak is making their homepage now.

I'm totally subscribing to this thread in hopes of more owner pics, and info on when their next ordering period is. I absolutely LOOOVE Semi, especially her dreaming head. Arg, I wish I could have gotten in on the first ordering period. I want the sleeping head and the heeled feet and the pretty box. ;~;

 

These dolls are precious! I absolutely love the unique body lines and the incredible attention to detail. I love the photos of the new body with the extra thigh joint, and the sleeping head... very interested! I can't wait for them to have a website ready.

Yeast, your Remi is SO CUTE!! I loved her pics in flickr too. Would love to see more of her! Sounds like she is a pretty well-made doll. Is she more of a slim mini (like minifee) or chunkier (like Volks)? How is Darak as a company-- did you have to wait long for her? Thanks for your advice.

Thank you so much for your compliments. She is so precious!!
Her wig is from Wigwing. There's only one wig that looks hers on Wigwing's website so it shouldn't be hard to spot.
I actually wanted a certain look for her and wanted to do her face-up myself.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like her default make-up when I was waiting for her but her face-up is really cute and suits her look really nicely.
I do want to change her face-up a fews months from now though. Still so pretty!

Anna's comparison is pretty accurate. (It was quite interesting for me to see the comparison photo too.)
In her photo, you can see that Remi has narrower shoulders than MNF A-line body.
However, Darak made extra chest parts so she could be closer to regular MSD sized shoulder measurements.
Unless I misunderstood them, you can select narrow shoulder chest part or wider shoulder chest part. (and they have different bust sizes too.)
My Remi has wider shoulders.
She has really thin waist and wider hips which makes it a bit hard to find clothes for her.
I really love her body and I'm willing to search for clothes that will fit her. Besides, I wanted her to be "leggings girl" so it won't be a big problem. ^^

Darak was wonderful to order from and it took about a month for her to arrive. All her seams were sanded because they don't like the look of seamlines.

Seriously, I think Darak dolls are so beeeeeeautiful and needs more attention.
I recently ordered their "Ugly Remi" which is a tiny version of Remi. I think they can make really cute sisters

 

I wished I have seen the tiny Remy earlier, I missed the ordering period by only one day when I first saw her~ So sad... I wonder if Tiny Remy will be available as basic in the future.

It hasn't been too long since the ordering period of Tiny Remi has ended so maybe you could email them or something
to ask to let you purchase one. They don't have English website which is probably why many people missed out.
So maybe they'll let you purchase? I think it's worth a try

 

I saw a seller selling Tiny Remy on ebay, they said ordering period till 20th, but I saw it on 19th and it had already ended. So I contacted the seller, but sellerjust simply replied saying, "Sorry, the auction has ended."

 

Thanks Anna for the photo! Remy does appear to be a good bit wider in the hips but since my girls wear dresses most of the time that might not be a problem. I am just so in love with your girl, Yeast!!

I'm trying to do a photoshoot with my Remi once a week.
She currently has default face-up on and I know once I wipe her face, she will look completely different.
So I'm taking advantage of her innocent look while I can. ^_______________^

Hi all. I've just come across this doll company and I'm really smitten with Remy. Maybe one day she will be added to my waiting list but in the meantime I am content to admire your photos!

It feels so weird typing "Remy" instead of "Remi" @_@!!!

I have the same problem with dressing my Remy too. I asked them about clothing options and they told me
that they'll offer more options in 2014.

Hi, does anyone has B type body? Is it posing good? I really like look of B type body. I wanted smaler 31 cm doll. But its pitty it doesnt have same look as 42 cm body. So I m thinking I need another MSD girl :-D

Lovely girls. Remy is on my wish list for 2014 but the clothing issue does worry me as I can't sew and already have a doll with a similar problem!

 

I dress mine with an outfit from Arcadia, made for a MNF. It fits well.

 

Hello! I just stumbled across these girls and love the way they look. I am confused by the differences between A and B bodies though. It seems like they are both double jointed, but A bodies have the 'peanuts' concealed and B has the extra joint piece between elbows and knees. Is that right? and are the 31cm included here or is there a different discussion thread I haven't found? TIA

Does anyone know if there are any pictures of the boy body floating around? I'd really like to order one, but I'm a little wary of ordering a doll without ever seeing his body sculpt.

 

I fell so for Remy that she is next on my list (along with Souldoll Diammah). Too bad it's so hard finding more pictures of her. She's so lovely. Something about her face is so captivating and cute. If anyone has her, picture spam please!
