Resolved Damatoki

Ok so I've been trying not to get too upset about the whole ordeal. As a person, Damatoki has been very polite. However I haven't heard from them in over a week.

I purchased their spiritdoll boy body on layaway. I made all payments on time. I recieved this picture 20160830_101104 by Tatsu Kitty, on Flickr
Everything seemed fine.

And then I opened the box. It literally looks like the doll has been sitting in kool-aid. I asked Damatoki about it and they said "Oh is he still red? I had some red paint on him for awhile a few months back but I soaked him to lift it!"
the sales thread said no damage and no yellowing. They offered to refund me $200.00 USD. I thought it was just the torso piece and that it was just acrylic paint, so I declined and said I would do $100.00 and there was an offer of clothing and shoes that I said ok."I could send you the clothes I bought him that fit the body for free if you want them? It's the least I could do for causing you trouble. "
I was supposed to recieve pictures last friday. I did not. I worked on the doll this weekend and discovered that not only the torso but one entire arm is ruined and so are the hands and hip joints. it's puddled and splashed and CLEARLY not acrylic paint. I have cleaned the doll with everything and finally sanded it. Even sanding does not lift the stain. It's harder to see in pictures but even my room mate who doesn't collect dolls noticed the color difference.

I also never received his option parts so he's a eunuch.

What I want to know is what actually happened to the doll in the span of three days before it was shipped to me or to have photo proof that this was just red acrylic paint. I'd also like to either receive the other hundred dollars refund (willing to lower that to another 50 if I get the option part mailed to me) or to be able to mail the whole doll back after getting a full refund. I would have already sent him back but I won't do that without being sure I'm not going to get ripped off.

 

I still have not heard anything from Damatoki.

 

I still haven't heard anything. I put in a paypal claim on the doll body.

 

Ok, so I heard back from Damatoki today. They have sent me the hundred refund and it's pending review from paypal. They are also saying they will send me the option parts. I'd like to keep this open just until the option parts are here.

 

I have received the option parts as well as a partial refund. I'm satisfied by the final of the transaction and call this resolved.
