Hey all! Apologies if this has been asked before; I tried searching but didn't find any threads about the specific size for which I'm looking. My Angell Studio Kelly girl is from a dystopian cyberpunk future in her story, but I've been having trouble finding cyberpunk clothing for her that a) fits and b) actually looks how I want. Does anyone have any recommendations for shops/outfits? Here are her measurements and links with the vibe I'm looking for. TAYLOR RAE on Instagram: "brat summer + cyberpunk = ⁉️ not sure how i feel about this combo… what do you think?? #brat #bratstyle #bratsummer #cyberpunk #cyberpunkstyle #cyberpunkaesthetic" TAYLOR RAE on Instagram: "OUTFIT BREAKDOWN ⚡️ here’s EVERYTHING i wore in my latest video!! as you can tell, i shop from a lot of different places, which makes the question “where can i get clothes like this?” super difficult to answer also, 80% of these pieces are from small brands, so this is your reminder that we love thrifting + supporting small businesses!!! if you have any other questions, lmk in the comments ✨ #cyberpunk #cyberpunk2077 #cyberpunkart #cyberpunkaesthetic #cyberpunkstyle #cybery2k" (the second outfit shown) Dryoma✨ on Instagram: "Alternative look for #rebecca kitty Photo @pugoffka_sama Cat ears @nife.cosmaker . #cyberpunkedgerunners #cyberpunk2077 #rebeccacyberpunk #edgerunners #rebeccacosplay #edgerunnerscosplay #cyberpunkcosplay #cyberpunkaesthetic #cyberpunkgirl #cyberpunkanime #cyberpunkstyle #cyberpunkfashion" (minus the cat ears)
I was writing while you updated with links. I don’t have recs for the style you’re looking for. My crew are mercenaries and corporate drones. This style can be a test of patience since most bjd clothing leans away from cyberpunk, particularly for females. My story is also set in the dystopian future and I make about half of the clothing, supplemented with old Dollheart sets and an assortment of clothing purchased on the Marketplace. My crew’s style is more Shadowrun and less Cyberpunk 2077. Rather than looking for a shop, I recommend looking for basics then mix and match to create a custom look. You may need to do some light crafting (hemming, decoration, rips, etc.) This is where the patience comes in as you search for pieces that suit your Kelly’s style. Secondhand from the DoA marketplace is a good source of clothing. Your gal’s measurement are similar to Ginger, my Elfdoll Soah. Dollheart fits well. If your gal is less girly, more gender neutral/masculine, you could expand your search to the boys section, where you’ll typically find darker colors. Check the shop’s bust, waist, hip measurements; 63 cm boys may fit,if a bit long. Hope this helps.
You’re welcome @prophet . The links you provided reminded me of Fruits/Decora style, which has photo inspo on this thread: /threads/fruits-decora-style.46765/
Saphar BJD Tailoring on IG has made clothes that read cyberpunk to me in the past. I might check them out in case they restock in the future!
oooh, I hadn't heard of this style before; that was fun to look through! thanks for sharing! ooooh thank you! to answer my own question in case anyone else is looking for this particular vibe: I remembered NatakoBJD on Etsy has a couple of pieces that match the vibe I'm looking for; looks like they might be a tad baggy on my girl, but close enough that it wouldn't look too bad.
My dolls are MSD sized but have a cyberpunk sort of style - I do a lot of customizing with their clothing, like bleaching and dyeing of fabrics. I have a very modest amount of jewelry making and sewing experience that gives them a grittier/more DIY aesthetic. You may also be able to find clothes from similar sized dolls that will fit your collection. I swap clothes between my Blythes and Pullips and slim MSDs easily. Measure your dolls and search for used clothes online - many will have exact measurements listed. Happy hunting!
