Props Customizing Hibachi, an Our Generation Horse

Sep 14, 2022

    1. You may have seen my previous Project Journal thread, where I customized my Dream Valley Rah. Well, it turns out I'm not done with him.

In his story, he and his partner (both ghosts) traverse the desert wasteland of the afterlife on horseback.
      So I got him a pony! :D

      This is Hibachi, the pinto.

He's an Our Generation Pinto horse, and he's... alright, I guess? But I figured I can repaint him to be more accurate and less... generic looking lol.

    2. I’m excited to see this done! I love seeing how people can take basic figures and make them more realistic. :D

    3. Thank you! It's a little intimidating because he's so BIG, haha~ XD

      Anywho.

Completely spray painted Hibachi! NO turning back now!

His saddle and bridle are also nice and pretty and black now. Started painting the spots. Here's what he looks like as of now:

Still got a loooong way to go. Eesh. I'd work some more on him, but I've got a tattoo appointment to skedaddle off to~

    4. Is that foil in the mane and tail? I can't tell.

    5. Yeah I wrapped the mane and tail in foil to protect them while I spray painted. Right now it’s keeping the hairs out of the way while I do the detail work. I’m going to to a final matte spray to seal everything when I’m done painting, so for now staying wrapped in foil lol.
