Custom tax in Malaysia

yay! more malaysian doll owner! Nice to meet you!~ ^o^ It depends on how much and how it is valued. My dolls were valued as 'gift' and marked at $60/$70 all time. So, never get caught by the custom so far. How much is your girl valued at? You can try ask the company to mark your doll undervalued like mine, but some company might not want to do it. Try to ask them in their QA about it? So far, most of my friends whose doll valued at lower then $80 passed custom a-okay ^_^ hope that help. (really hope you dont have to pay those evil tax fees. it's really high and troublesome >o< )

 

So far I have never been charges customs tax before since they were all mark around $20-$80. I have a friend who got her DOD doll that was marked $100 and she manage to pass customs without getting charged.

 

i think i might have some of my parcels being opened before
but they are all still in a good condition when they reached me :3
so don't worry much ^^

I think it is quite normal for them to open packages since Customs in Australia also do. My packages sent to Malaysia also gets opened by usually they come undamaged ^^;.

 

I hope you got your doll ok! I was charged RM60+ on my Ichigo who was declared at full value. In a way it's not that terrible if it's detained, because when you go to collect it, you can open it yourself in front of them (they give you the blade to open it) and minimize possible damage to the contents. although there will be damage to your wallet

When I got my Rukia, she was declared at USD20 and delivered straight to my house without being detained. But when I opened the box I saw that customs had cut a 2" slit in the free carrier bag I think they thought it was a present or something. Luckily Rukia wasn't damaged, but still^^;
