Doll Eyes Through saffrindolls eyes you can order them from 10mm and up. My gabriël wears 12 mm. I don't know the size of the eyes you like though.

Oh I got another little question @Sodabeentjes.. the size of Gabriel (Elfi ) are 12 mm or 10 mm in that picture? I believe petite delf have 12 mm eyes, but I wonder how they looks with 10 mm eyes? Maybe eyes looks more realistic if arent the big size?

 

@soulcalibur33 I don't know what size they are. 10 mm could look more realistic, there migh be a risk of a gap. But I believe eyeco eyes have larger whites, so that might not be a problem ^^ My girl is wearing 12mm regular eyes in this picture, I think smaller could defenitely work

@soulcalibur33 I'm so excited you are getting a "Gabriel" after searching so long for one! I have a lot of Customhouse petites, but my Gabriel, Joscelyn, is my favorite doll ever. She was from the very first set of basics Customhouse did all those long years ago. She has lightly yellowed over time, and her face-up has faded (I did go over it once a few years ago, but she is ready again... I can't bear to completely redo her face-up, because it might change who she is!) She, is my only doll that has ever really pushed her personality forward enough that she almost feels real to me! I know the sculpt has changed slightly with Luts, but I still think your Gabriel will steal your heart. That sculpt is so real seeming to me, and it feels like 'an old soul', if you know what I mean... I have tons of different eyes in different sizes and colors, but mostly realistic shades. If you want my girl to model them let me know. I think I might even have used 14mm on her at times.

I just got a Luts Honey Delf Raphael in light tan skin (always something I dreamed about!) but I'm disappointed in how small she is compared to my petites... I think I should have waited for the petite version, not the honey delf version! I didn't know there was a difference at the time, though Maybe I'll be happier after I paint her. And I agree, the "kid delf event head" from the last event definitely seems like a CH sculpt, not sure which one. I'm going to paint it up too and we'll see if we can figure it out

 

whisperwolf So, how large are the petites? Is there a body comparison photo? Oh....I think I know what you mean, I just got a 5 Stardoll 30 cm and she's a lot larger than my YOSD's.

Sodabeentjes, Thanks! After having so many 26cm dolls, I finally tried 19-20cm dolls and my first 30cm doll (5Star Amy in white) which I love!! Thanks for the photo!

BTW, I keep comparing, and I'm pretty sure that kid delf event head from luts is Gabriel... and its close to the original petite ai size.

 

I should make a new comparison picture someday. My family has changed quite a bit since then

@whisperwolf I thought it looked more like Gaby then Gabriël. But because of the size it could also be a Little Junior or junior head that resembles Gaby/Gabriël.

 

I don't have a Gaby head to compare or any Jr.s or kid delfs, it fits perfectly proportioned on my petite and ange bodies, though. Whatever it's mystery, I'm thankful to have gotten it!

 

@whisperwolf Oh okay, I thought the head was bigger as it's listed as a Kid Delf head. But I don't have it. A friend of mine has it, and has both Gaby and Gabriël. So she could compare them maybe ^_^

Thank you and yes, please...if you would like to show your petite ai doll with some different size's eyes it would be good! I'm indecise if I want her with 14 mm eyes or 12 mm eyes ^^
But I'm inspired by the usual Gabriel (ELFI) XD that it inspired me the first time.. I have a short memory.. maybe they already told me how big are her eyes in mm.. but I dont remember! So if I see more different sizes of eyes I can understand which one is better for my doll! I'm really in love with that Gabriel (with blue eyes and black long wig!) XDD

PS usually how long it takes Luts before shipping a doll? I ordered her on 25 June with face up... do you think at the end of september it will be ready to ship?

Yep. Ordered early April, arrived mid July. One tiny doll. Not sure what the heck happened, it was pretty ridiculous.

 

So if 3 months is anyway unusual, it means that normally they should took even less than 3 months... now , considering that I ordered my doll on 25 June, it may be possible that around 25 or end of September it should be ready, right? I don't think they would delay for more than 3 months? I wonder if it happened already that one received a doll from Luts after 4 or 5 months of waiting time? I don't think so! ^_____^ '

EDIT: There's more box opening, photo arrival regarding the Petite Delf dolls ? I would like to see them and see also their box... what type of box have this specific serie Petite Delf? XD I'm a lover of doll boxes too XD

 

Yes, it was very unusual, none of my other orders since Luts and Fairyland split have taken quite that long, though there were a couple prior to that. Normally the wait has been up to 2 months, rarely past that point.

Hi! Is there any way to know what sculpt the old Ai's are by the markings inside the head? I bought an old yellowed one, she/he has a slight smile and has a "G" inside her head. ??

 

My old CH Raffy doesn't have anything that identifies her sculpt. I only knew for sure she was a Raffy because of the seller's info and photo references.

 

This got me curious, so I checked out my clan. My Petit Uriel actually has the name "URIEL" printed inside the headcap. My Ange Uri had a "U" inside both the head and headcap and LJ Darea had a H inside the headcap. No marks in the others. If you are able to post a pic of the head here, we may be able to help determine the sculpt.

I would guess Gabriel. The letters are always either the sculptor's initial or the doll's.

If it is an ange ai (skinnier with 2 part body), it would be Gaby.

I'm a bit in a battle to find the right mary jane (white) for my Petite delf Gabriel... she is still without shoes...

She needs to wear socks as well, so Im afraid I could get wrong shoes.. I wish buy shoes not so much expensive but get them from Ebay or Aliepress... but the measurements of shoes may be too large or too tight with socks...
I saw already something on ebay.. but I would like to buy something that it's been already 'tested' for sure ><

 

I've bought shoes from Mimiwoo, on Ebay and they fit wonderfully on my Raffy.
From my experience, you'll always need to buy slightly bigger shoes, for a better fit. If it's too tight, you might risk damaging their feet when pulling the shoes out.

 

I don't have the luts version of Gabriel, so I can't say for sure. I've never had a problem with any of my petite size dolls and shoes with socks. All of mine wear their shoes with socks or tights. One of my favorite shoes, that fits nice and seems to be a good quality for not too expensive are the ones in black, red, or white with the cat faces stitched on the toe. I've seen them often on ebay, and have one in every color.

@soulcalibur33, Is your girl an original Custom House Petite? Their are so many dolls and bodies now, it is getting confusing!

Could you give us the height of the doll and length and width of the feet?

 

Luts website says Petit Delf feet are 39mm. My Petite Ai feet measure 41mm.
Honey Delf feet are 37mm. I don't have an Ange Ai to measure for comparison.

But anything that fits Petite Ai should fit Petit Delf if thats acurate. My Petite Ais mostly wear Volks brand YoSD shoes. Yos have slightly smaller feet, but they make their shoes quite large. Big enough that they don't have the big toe sticking out problem.

petite delf feet is 3,9 cm ! But I need at least shoes with inner size I think around 4,6 or 4,8 to be sure she can wears socks as well. But 5 cm could be too big?

So what shoes I should buy for my Petite Delf? I do not have a big budget to buy shoes... thats also why is more difficult to find right size... but is it possible theres no more cheap shoes of 4,5 or 4,7 cm inner size to be used also with socks?

I was going to recommend Boneka. They recommend the 42mm but those are out of stock. The 45mm are in stock.

Can anyone recommend eye sizes for an Ange Ai Gaby? I have one and I would like to buy another pair for them. I know, from reading the wiki, that 14mm apparently fit, but can I go any smaller than that? 14mm looks a bit bigger than what I need.

 

You can definitely do 12mm as well!

I got a super old Gabriel to replace my first doll, who I sold years ago.. So cute and in such good condition. All of my other normal skin dolls are a peach color, but she's still pink!

 

@kitten She is still as beautiful as that first sneak picture Anu showed us on TheSoulWithin. She will always hold my heart and be my favorite doll of all time! Congrats on finding this gem!!

 

I keep wondering if I should get a Petit Delf body for my CH Gabriel or Raphael (or both) they look better articulated than the CH ones.... but since I've never really been bothered by the articulation of the CH bodies would it just be a waste of money...
