Crobidoll Boys: wigs, eyes and clothing for ^^...

I have a Yeon-Ho and a size 8-9 CRWML-10 wig Crobidoll sells fits him perfectly. I bought a size 8-9 wig from Jpopdolls for another doll and it's far too large for my Yeon-Ho, it does stretch to a 9.5 though so it might just run large.

As for the body, I had the one that came with the White Skin Lance, but it appears to be the same as the R-Line body. The chest was very broad so shirts fit tight and I had issues with pants being too short and too tight around his bottom. I don't remember what size the shoes I had were, but the slip on shoes from Dollmore were just small enough that they took lots of effort to get on. I did have a pair of SD sized riding boots from Pupa Paradise and those fit fine, so I think it's more of a shoe by shoe thing.

I don't have the body anymore so I can't really help with where to get clothes, but I'm sure someone can. I wouldn't be discouraged, I think the clothes for larger SDs will fit well, just be aware that they have long legs, large bottoms, and broad chests.

I know that if all else fails, you can buy from Crobidoll since their wigs and clothes seem to be made for their dolls.

 

So I am ordering a Crobidoll Nia in a couple of months or so, the only problem is I'm not sure where to buy pants for him as he has some pretty unusual measurements.
Circumference of waist: 23 cm
Circumference of hips: 28.3 cm
Those hips are huge for a 63cm doll! I did manage to find one pair of shorts that I know will fit him because I bought them off of Crobi. But other than that I have looked all over for dolls with similar measurements to steal their pants...no luck yet. I don't really care about the length because I can always hem them. I am thinking that I might have to make my own...
If there is anyone out there that has a Crobidoll with an R line body please help! What does your boy wear?

 

I know that dollmore pants DO NOT fit their waist! Still having trouble finding pants....

 

My Nia isn't here yet, but I ordered him an outfit from nDoll, which has arrived. I measured the pants (waist, hips and length) and they do seem like they'll fit, but I can't make any proven claims just yet... (fingers crossed!)

 

CROBI said that Lance head size is 9-10 ich, but when I buy the 9-10 ich wig to him, the wig is much bigger~ I think may be 8-9ich is much fit.
Of couse, I measure Lance head, he just 9 ich @@

My boy is wear 16&18 mm eyes, I think 14mm may be too small.

About CLOTHES@@ I don't have dollmore@@
but If DOLLHEART's pants , just 26CM of hips size, so I think R-line can't wear it@@

Shoes....R-line can wear DOLLHEART 13BOYS size ...

I'm looking forward to seeing all the new Nia owners - I'm currently saving up for him too. There's just something about him that makes him sweet. XD

Now that I'm reading about all these issues the Crobi body might have with apparel from other companies, I hope some of the clothes I have will fit, or I'll be sewing alot after he gets here.

 

Im currently waiting on a wig from LUTS for my crobi boy so when it gets here I can let you know how it fits if you like.

 

Luts wig arrived!!!


I got size 8.5 - 9.5 for Delf and senior Delf and I found the wig a little big however it is on the larger end of that scale as it measured 9.5 exactly so other wigs maybe smaller. I just wrapped a few rubber bands around his head and it fit like a dream ^^


Peakswood FOC wigs also fit Beautifully!!! So for those looking for some nice looking long ones, they fit nicely ^^

 

Well I bought my Ys clothing from Dollmore-model size, it seems I will just have to shorten the pants a bit and the fit will be ok. But I'll let you know as soon as I get the parcel and try them on.

 

My Lance's clothing was all purchased from Sunny's World, and for the most part they fit fine. The pants fall down a bit on his waist, but other than that I would say they're a perfect fit, if not a teensy bit long.

I haven't been brave enough or had enough spare time to shop around and order clothes for him from any other company- finding pants for them seems to be the hardest. They have the oddest measurements when it comes down to that. ^^;

Another question, however, what size are their hands in comparison to other dolls? I don't own any other dolls to compare them to, but it was a bit of a challenge to get my boys hands through his jacket sleeves... This could just be because I'm pretty new to the hobby, though. >>;

 

@ gallow-thieve: *rummages around* Back when I did a box opening here, I did a quick comparison between the Crobi body hands and my Lati Red's hands and they're a bit bigger! This is pretty surprising, considering that the Lati boys' hands seem to be on the large side too

Also, I just received a Heise kimono outfit (the Burning Flower one, in case anybody wants specifics) yesterday, and the obi totally couldn't close around my boy's waist I guess they're pretty big around the middle too...

I'm still having trouble with pants too...I ordered some from Sunny's World and asked twice for them to be made that specific size, they were two centimeters to small around the waist... Wasn't happy, I had to give them to Noah.

Yeah, bluemana's got Sho in the hiphop jeans and they fit well. The sunny pants we have fit, but you have to pull em up super high and pull them tight to fit x.x

I'm gonna order a sadol set for a DZ size, going by measurments that should fit my M-line boy, but his waist/hips are smaller than the r-line x.x His thighs are bigger though? XD Wtf crobi. Kind of just stretched the torso a bit. Anyway, I'll try the pants on Sho, hopefully they'll fit? ;0;

YID boy Iplehouse pants work! They are a little tight, but my Nia can sit reasonably easily is them. I have the "painting jeans," but if you got cargos they would fit even better.

Odd...I have a pair of Iplehouse jeans that DO NOT fit my Nia...Maybe the painted ones are slightly larger?

 

Really? That's so odd. Maybe they vary from pair to pair. I'm glad I got a larger one. How frustrating! Why can't they standardize their sizing? This odd-sized doll thing is complicated.

 

Does anyone have any eye size comparison pictures? I'm thinking about maybe getting a Yeon-ho head and would like to see what different sized eyes look like on crobidoll boys.

hello i found this shop
it seems to be the same kind of outfit as the Crobidoll shop with 2/3dollar less.
And then, they used the Yeon-ho as Model.

 

Unfortunately I can't help much with the wig size questions since I only own a body, but to add to the ongoing pants-problem that Crobi bods have, pants by Raphael also totally fail to fit! D: I used my boy as a model for sales photos, and while they fit well (albeit fairly tightly) around the thighs, there's way too much "junk in the trunk" As a result, the junk in the front (coughahem) was "caught" in the zipper. XD"

Other things that do not fit: Fitted-and-not-stretchy 4D items like the now-unavailable Jasmine Squaretails set are too tight in the arms to even pull on. The chest/waist circumference would've probably posed a problem even if I could get it past the arms.

On another note, the body fills out an ALG shirt very nicely, although the thickness of the neck means that the top snap won't close properly either. D:

In conclusion: Am starting to lose hope of finding anything that actually fits outside of what Crobidoll sells through its own shop.

Is it M-Line, R-Line or Dreaming Doll Body that you had..?

 

I have an R-Line body. I think the Dreaming Doll bodies would be much easier to clothe in comparison because its proportions strike me as a bit more standard? The M-Line seems a bit slimmer in places and longer in others than the R-Line, so I'm guessing that it'll be a pain in the arse to clothe as well. ^^;

As for eyes, I've had both 14mm Gumdrops and 16mm/9mm Mystics in him. The Gumdrops made him a bit stare-y, the Mystics look amazing. I'd be inclined to go with 16mm, possibly with a small iris if you want a more mature look.

After I bought my R+M sized Crobidoll I have come to realize something...He is not what you call average in shops. From luts to dollmore, my R+M line body Crobidoll is all over the place size wise. I bet a few of you have the same issues. But fear not! I have come up with a mini list I will add to over time. Have fun shopping ladies and gentlemen!

NOTE: If you have any other measurements from other places feel free to add! Also this is not a bible to go by. Every item can be different and every doll could be different. Use this as guide to make sure you don't end up with pants that are 6 cms to long or a jacket your doll can't even fit into.

FINAL NOTE: If you have no clue where a crobidoll fits in the size chart of an online store ask! Email the buyers and find out before buying. Another great tip is to buy a little bit bigger if you have no clue whats so ever. You can always find a doll tailor or throw the piece of clothing under a sewing machine and hem it if it is to big (but make sure you love the clothing before you do!). Buy to small and you're stuck with something you can't work with.

I would stick to super gem but I haven't yet bought anything from them. From what I've heard Crobi R+M bodies are pretty similar to Super Gem SOOM dolls. Still, looking at the measurements on both sites it seems Crobi's have wider shoulders and slightly longer arms but have the same general measurements over all and supergem clothing should fit. Still you have to be careful. If anyone has bought anything from them please add your notes!

Like SOOM I haven't yet bought from them. But... from the sites measurements and from seeing other Crobidolls in their clothing, I would stick in the 70 cm, SD17(65 cm) section. Don't be tempted to go smaller!

Hmm... well, (from what I've read around DoA) the Demon Garden boy body in Normal-yellow is a near perfect match to Crobidoll normal skin. But the poseability is not that great I think? Like basic...? That, or the SDelf body..

 

I picked the DG Normal Body. So far, it looks like it matches my SDF body, which matches Volks bodies, so I'm assuming either of the three would be your best bet.
And I've heard it fits SD13 clothes, but currently the SDF pants and shirt I have also do fit.

 

You have a DG body? Could you give a review on it please? Like the posing, resin quality, etc.

I'm getting a Ys type B soon and I want to get clothes for him before hand. Hes M-line body. Does any one know what will fit him perfect? And any one know where to get cheap shoes? Any one know where to get hats?

 

A friend of mine has a Yeon Ho, and she's getting a Camelia Dynasty body for him. If that helps anyone.

 

8-9 Jpop wigs fit very well. 8-9 Leeke wigs seem to fit well, too. 8-9 Luts wigs fit, but the 8-9 Iple wigs are very tight and can take some manipulation to get on properly.
