Hello I have actually been a lurking member here for a while, but now I am getting the courage to make my own posts this is actually a doll I had started in 2010 when I first got into the hobby and had plenty of time, but because of school I had to put her aside and i am just now having time to focus intimately on sculpting again, also since then I have taken sculpture lessons so hopefully I have lots of potential to improve now I am looking to start over but I have learned a lot from this past doll, and I hope you all have some information you can share with me on how to improve this next time :> Ah, and please have mercy on me I was very young when I started this View attachment 404 Thanks everyone
Emm do you have any more photos, and from different angles, with the correct orientation? (dead on, 3/4, profile, etc) From the photo you've posted I can't say much anything helpful. I must say though, sculpture lessons are great and I wish I had taken more of them when I had the chance.
Wish I'd had lessons also. One thing your sculpting classes may help you with is getting a sense of the underlying bone structure of the face. Your head is pretty, but basically egg-shaped if you see what I mean. Good luck on your fresh start!
I think it's a good base to start from, but you need to be much bolder with creating depth and character, do you know what you're aiming for?
