Creatures dolls - tiny dolls / XB12-Feldspathe-Ambroise

I have always known I wanted a flexible doll but haven't gotten one until Pollen and I am so in love! I wish I had known Ambroise was the size Pollen is and I would have totally adopted her too! I've been on the hunt for her but will have to wait at least a little while so I can save up

I cannot wait to see people's Pollens as they come in!

 

ah so lonely here, just saw your new pictures on flickr...pollen is so pretty, I really hope there will be made more in future I really would love a green one or a blue one....ah just saw a pollen for sale on flickr......a white one, but I can't afford her now and not sure I want white...I could paint her blush her ah bad moment

 

It definitely is lonely on this thread, I've still been on the look out for the other 9 Pollens from this mini preorder, do you have a link to the white one for sale (I can't afford another either, I'm currently paying off RealFee Mari!). And I do hope she opens another preorder so that you can add a Pollen to your collection! I think she'd fit in with your family really well
Although I'm not a fan of white either you could possibly change her color easily? Hopefully she won't sell for a while so you'll be able to get her

Also I just paid off Mari today and I hope she'll be getting to DDE soon!!! I have at least seen a few people say their's has arrived at DDE

 

ah I finally have found me a pollen....a grey one here on doa...she will need the blushing like other dolls, but the grey ones have a sort of orange, the blue ones have pink the white ones have pink too and the green ones have darker green..not sure perhaps I will do pink or more orange....

anyway here is another picture of my pollen, if I had to keep only one doll (I have much to many dolls ) but if I had to make a choice this moment pollen is the one that would stay.

I agree that Mewiefish does not make enough dolls, but she is a true artist. I would love to have a Bactro, maybe one day I will find one. The artist does still make and sell creations but not too many BJD's and I am pretty sure if you go through her face-book page you would get an answer or find a link for communication,
What name have you chosen for your lovely Pollen??? I love the idea of her being the keeper of....
And again, very well arranged photo, I love the pose and the colour arrangement too. Also, this flower looks so alien, other worldly next to her... Love it

I'm super excited to finally join in and say I put a Pollen on layaway! I've been wanting to buy a Creatures Doll for the last two years and it's just never happened...until now!

 

ah that is wonderfull pollen is really special......the new radish is great too I only saw pictures on flickr from the ldoll but didn't have the money to get me one..so perhaps in future...just love the ones koala krash painted like this one Koala Krash

A little over two weeks ago my lovely little pollen arrived! I still need to blush her, make her some clothes, and buy new eyes, but here she is. This is Hyacinthe.

Thank you @wilkies! She's incredibly pretty. I don't think I've ever had a doll who looked so nice even blank! I think I'll keep her blushing simple, just spots of colour much like the blushing MewieFish did.

Your Pollen is very pretty - is that a hydrangea she's playing in?

 

I also just gave her a little blush like mewie did...and she is playing in a helleborus, but she love hydrangea's too and actually all the flowers

 

The orange contrasts with her resin colour so well!
Oh whoops, my bad. Still, she looks like she's enjoying herself!

 

It's been a while...and sadly my poor pretty little Pollen is still blank. I did however, get her some lovely sparkly Oscar Doll eyes. She's been out on many adventures with me, pocket sized as she is.

She is! I'm very happy that she still looks great even when blank. Hopefully once things die down after Xmas I can get around to blushing her and making her some little flower petal dresses.

I am quite surprised by the amount of blue Pollen(s) there are out there. I would have thought green or a pale yellow would have been a more popular colour given her name. Sad you've decided to part with yours.

 

Hmm, given the time since last posting in here, not sure if this counts as double posting of necro-ing. Anyone else out there still holding onto their lovely Creatures Dolls ladies? It's been a while since I last posted a photo of Hyacinthe, she's been blushed now! Here she is in the mix of wheat and sunflowers that accidentally sprouted from the birdseed in our backyard.

she is lovely, and I think we are the only two people herelove what you did with her bellybutton and nice shadow around her eyes, gives her lot of character. And she is still naked? mine also is, because she looks a little strange in clothings,

 

Thank you! Pity the photo's a little washed out and you can't see the finer details, but she's such a pretty little thing. She does have a little sock-dress I made for her that she usually wears in the winter, but only because she makes me feel cold if she's nude. I do prefer her nude though...clothing isn't really her thing. Though I may attempt to make "clothing" out of something more sheer or perhaps even silk flowers. Not sure yet. I do have a friend who is dying to make her a dress. Hopefully once this lock down is over that'll become a reality!

 

I have to admit, I don't think Pollen is due for any clothes.
After a long while I decided to grab my tiny BJDs again and go out for a few photos and am thankful that none require clothes or wigs
Reminded me why I love them in the first place! Especially how flexible Pollen is. My problem is getting her to stand

She looks so at home in the grass @ohmyhi Pollen looks perfectly good without clothing. It somehow feels right? But yes, standing can be a challenge.

Oh thank you @ohmyhi! I actually did her blushing as a contest entry for DoA's anniversary a couple of years ago and I liked it so much I decided to keep it that way. I might go over it at some point, but I'm very pleased with her. She's absolutely a favourite of mine.

 

@Quiet and Insane that's awesome! I didn't realize there were contest on here lol I have been so detached from this forum for a LONG time it's time to get more involved again
And I do wish I had the confidence in myself to attempt a faceup/body up on any of my dolls! If you don't mind me asking, did you use an airbrush or did you draw/paint and coat it all with brushes?

 

@ohmyhi - I'm a little sad that they won't be holding their annual anniversary contests this year, but I understand why. Next year!
I used MSC as my sealant, pastels, watercolour pencils, a tiny bit of pearl powder, and some gloss for her lips and nails. I would really love to try using an airbrush one day.

Mewie still has 2 availble last time I talked to them. Just send them an email I thought about it for a bit but decided I want to wait to see if I can find a Mini Bactro second hand in the future. Although I really do want one of those little Turnip guys, I hope that I find one of those as well!

 

Yeah, I took the plunge and bought a mint one about 2 weeks ago. But because I opted to get a face-up, it will take a while to be finished. Mewie is such a sweetheart! I love their work

@sbslink - I've had my Pollen for just over four years now, she's one of the most travelled dolls I own. She comes with me everywhere! Mewie is so lovely, I really hope I can catch another one of her dolls in the future. In the meantime, congratulations! I'm sure you'll love her!

 

I got her in last week.. and while she is absolutely amazing, I was not bonding with her at all. I felt so guilty after having mailed with Mewie and her being such a lovely person. But there is a good end to it all, as a good friend of mine is totally smitten after seeing the pictures, Pollen is going to a good new home with lots of other (artist)dolls ^_^

 

Aww, at least the story has a happy ending. She's such a lovely, unique doll!

Pollen is the prettiest little thing! I love mine so much. I can't wait to take more photos with her this coming spring with all the new flowers.

 

My Pollen has arrived! I am so stoked that @rykaan just pulled the design for her faceup right out of my brain and made it come alive. Struggling to find her name, but she is just so adorable, I keep grinning when I look at her.

 

Oh she's stunning!! I love all of her little freckles!

Pollen's available for pre-order again! If I hadn't brought home Absinthe this year, I'd probably order one. Absinthe is basically just a bigger version of Pollen.
