Aesthetics Creating the FFXIV Pixies!

I loved the pixies the minute they were revealed but kind of forgot about them since I hadn't reached the expansion yet. Technically I still haven't but I do have alts kind of all over the place in the story because well.. I buy skips for alts (dont judge me). Anyway one of them is in Endwalker and I saw Feo Ul and I'm also doing the Pixie society quests, and I was like, "oh yeah! I love these little dudes!" So now I've decided to make them into dolls because I love them and I want to dress them up in different things like one does a Barbie. I will make their canon looks but I also just want to have fun with them and their color schemes.

As of right now, I'm working on Tyr Beq. My sister gave me an old Doll Family head she wasn't in love with anymore and it's on a resinsoul body. Here's how they're doing so far:
I styled the wig today. I still need to add yellow highlights to it (will prob use a posca marker). I know I have a flower clip somewhere but until I locate it, they have a little butterfly. I thought the default faceup looked fine but I need to put black eyelashes (and maybe just give a gentle wash since it's an old head). Then they'll need a pink chest gem, and the pink body markings. Plus make the "default" outfit.

After Tyr Beq, I will be working on An Lad of course. Do not separate! They need each other lol. For them I will be using one of my old dolls that I haven't played with in a long time. A Dollzone Feilian-3. I still love the character, but I'm never really going to do anything with her, so it's time for a change

This one will take longer. I'll have to scrub her whole body since the character had scars all over. Then sand off the boobs to give them a nice flat chest. I'll be buying some elf ears to place over the original ones because it's easier. Then.. I do the rest haha.

And finally, our lovely branch themself, Feo Ul. I found this gorgeous head on Dollsphere, and it's actually what inspired the whole project. I was originally only going to make Feo Ul but then acquired the aforementioned Doll Family doll.
Hopefully the head arrives in a few months.

They'll all be getting plastic straw long nails, and craft foam wings.

Now for their default looks, I'm still deciding if I want to go the easier route of using stretchy materials or actually make structured garments but we'll see what I have on hand.

Anyway, I'll slowly update here as I work on them!

 

Dollsphere has it listed as RDAC Nymiel. They have some indie Chinese brands so I'm guessing it's one of those. It's available until Oct. 18!

@Blodeuwedd Yeah I think that's what I'm leaning toward, but we'll see how I'm feeling lol. I mostly run on vibes and yolo-ing when making doll clothes

 

A bit of an update and possible change of plans. So first, here is what I've done so far with Tyr Beq.

Added yellow highlights, and made wings. Not totally sold on them. I'll probably tweak and reposition them so they sit better.

Then I was con crunching and out of town (for said con) for a couple weeks. And I thought about it a bit more.
Firstly, I'll wait until Feo Ul gets here to decide if I even like them all next to each other, but mainly I was thinking.. what if I actually make Tyr Beq and An Lad tinies? So that Feo Ul can be giant Titania to them lol. It sounded 30% cuter to me, so I may repurpose this doll into another character. I've been wanting a Link again, so I may play with that idea. This whole project isn't shelved tho! Just changed.
I will return when Feo Ul's doll arrives and I can work on them. Feo Ul is the real star of the show, after all.

 

@ArtsyCreature thanks! Pearl paint would be a great addition! Why didn't I think of that lol. I'll consider what I did here practice for the real deals.

 

Feo Ul's head has arrived!
The body also shipped and will hopefully be here soon! The head is soooo cute! Sadly it's going to be rainy and humid this week, so no faceup getting done yet. But the next update will be after that's done!

I'm also trying to decide how exactly I want to make the clothes but I know I want incorporate silk flowers petals

 

Small update. I found the dress I made for Princess Lady Serenity. I don't have the doll anymore, so I think I can use it as a base for Titania's dress
I also want to find some brighter blue eyes. I know their eyes aren't super vibrant blue, but I don't like that these are so dark.

When I have some more energy, I'll work on modifying the dress!
For now, Feo Ul is chilling with Link! (And not nakey anymore)
